2 You Got A Solo System

Aroon stood in front of the three meters monster while his eyes returned to the shining blue it used to have. "Come you bastard," he pointed his hand towards the monster, "I have an unsettled score with you and your filthy kin."

He motioned to the monster to come and the monster became more enraged.

"Roar!"

It roared and next the two tentacles dancing in the air moved.

"Swoosh!"

Yet Aroon was much faster. He just had to step aside, and his body followed his thought.

He moved in superhuman speed, getting away from the two deadly tentacles. He watched them slamming into the wall he was leaning upon just now.

"Not too fast," he suddenly kicked his legs on the ground, stopping for a brief second before the next instant he moved.

Aroon left behind a series of afterimages, bent his knees and as a veteran fighter he jumped high in the air and landed over the two tentacles using only his bare hand.

The previously sturdy and hard to crack tentacles in front of the bullets were like a dry weed in front of his bare hands.

His right hand cleaved through the first tentacle while the second moved like a dagger and stabbed the other one fast.

"Roar!"

The monster roared and this time it was out of deep pain.

"Scream as much as you like, no one is coming to help you," Aroon smirked while holding the deeply injured tentacle with his left hand and pulled.

The giant monster looked like nothing terrifying at this moment. This small pull carried the monster in the air towards him.

Aroon watched the big monster coming at him like it was moving in slow motion. He simply kicked the ground, rose high in the air, turned upside down on himself while his left leg barely touched the ceiling.

"Boom!"

He landed his kick heavily over the monster, slamming it violently on the ground.

The floor which was made out of simple cement cracked. Under this heavyweight and strong strike, it crumbled, taking the monster with Aroon's left foot over the cleaver's big belly down towards the lower floor.

"Boom!"

This time Aroon stopped the kick, jumped calmly in the middle of the devastated room and landed with much ease there.

"So you are up to nothing after all," he sneered while watching that monster taking its last breaths before finally dying.

<Ding! Congratulations you completed the task brilliantly.>

The next moment he heard the sound of the system before another small window appeared in front of his eyes.

"Another mission?" he muttered, "not before we talk!"

<Ding! You aren't in a situation to have any talk right now>

"I don't care, you owe me a huge explanation," Aroon's eyes narrowed while he noticed the footsteps of more monsters coming towards here.

"Why have you left me without any power at all? Huh?" he screamed, with all the frustration and anger welling up inside him during the past year. It all turned into extreme rage at this moment.

"Why… did you return?" he weakly asked while glancing over his body, feeling the brimming power he greatly missed.

<Ding! There is no time to explain but think about what you just gained from me.>

"Not going to move a muscle without an explanation," Aroon was so stubborn at this moment. "First of all how can you… speak?"

<Ding! Is this weird?>

"This isn't an answer," Aroon said while his mind recalled all the memories he had about the system.

The system was always silent, only contacting him and his brothers with that black screen and silver writing.

And that was the case for everyone else.

<Ding! It's because you are special>

"Special my ass!" Aroon sneered, "if I was that special to you then why did you abandon me with nothing? Not even a single ability like other fallen?"

<Ding! In time you'll understand how special you are> the system said before adding, <Ding! Haven't you noticed it yet? You got a solo system, system that can use without any twin brother or sister>

Aroon felt instant shock when he heard these words. "I have nothing because… you let them die bastard!" he slowly said but each word was brimming with deep anger.

<Ding! Hey, it's not me who killed your brothers> the system said, <Ding! Humans did that to you, not all of course but those high up in power>

"It was… other system owners," Aroon said before suddenly shouting, "they were humans but with systems! Your hands are stained with my brothers and sisters blood."

<Ding! That's not true! Do you think they were ordered by me? Or do gathering other system owners for their sakes?> the system calmly said, yet his words didn't change Aroon's mind.

<Ding! they worked for others, humans and not me>

"Lies," Aroon instantly said.

<Ding! one day you'll get the truth out of that> the system said, <Ding! but now I strongly advise you to ready up for more fights and embrace the quest survive>

The answer to the system seemed quite vague, and Aroon didn't buy any of it.

"You don't know what it was like for me during the past year," he slowly said while resisting the urge to scream again.

<Ding! I've been watching you all over this year> yet the system's answer made him startled, <Ding! I know what you passed through and I'm sorry for it. But many things, far important things are at the stake here>

"Why should I believe these lies? Huh?"

<Ding! I can give you many things to confirm my words. The least of which is your family's picture always staring at night or when are alone. same keep right inside hand bracelet>

Aroon paused. "Not enough," he muttered.

<Ding! sure but you need to trust me again right now. The monsters are drawing closer and check your power get ready face them>

Aroon thought for a couple of moments there while hearing the closing up steps of the monsters outside. "I will do this not for you but me and my family," he muttered, "I swear to get revenge over whoever did that to us… even if it's you."

<Ding! Sounds fair to me>

Aroon sneered when he heard the carefree answer of the system like he wasn't worried at all.

"Show me the main system interface," he muttered before the black screen appeared once again with many silver writings over it.
