10 You Don't Have Any Girlfriend

<Ding! What have you humans thought about how these dungeons were lightened up? Bright butterflies?> the system mockingly said while Aroon got closer to the gap he just created and extended his hand to touch what lied there.

The gap exposed a bright light coming forth from a strange coat behind that layer of rocks. Aroon was amazed by this and just realized something.

Each time a team entered any dungeon they were mainly focused on killing all the monsters inside and getting to the boss room fast.

No one ever cared at all about the structure of the rooms or how these lights came from.

And standing there watching this shiny coat behind the wall he simply realized they missed many great chances before.

After all, these thick veins that kept the rooms lightened up were all made entirely of alien ores. Something humans would crave for without a doubt.

And he doubted they would be only used to bring forth light to dark places like here.

"It's cold," he couldn't help but say, "shouldn't they be warm?"

<Ding! These are frozen ore veins, surely they so cold> the system said before adding, <Ding! Gather up everything now. You've got a long task to do>

"Won't you give me a mission for that?" Aroon retreated a couple of steps before changing the pickaxe with a giant square-shaped hammer.

The purpose of the weapon he got changed now. He didn't need to dig deep in the walls but only needed to crush the outer layer off and expose those amazing ores.

"Won't I get any rewards for cleaning up this entire dungeon?"

<Ding! The rewards you seek are in front of your greedy eyes>

"Stingy system," Aroon sneered but the system chose to completely ignore him.

The next thing that happened was for Aroon to start hammering heavily the exposed ore vein that was shining brightly with strange milky white light.

"These stones… they look precious," he stopped the moment some of the rocks fell off that vein. He grabbed one piece and closely observed it. "It has branches like a small tree lying deep within."

<Ding! Keep collecting and they all will be yours>

"How can I store them?" Aroon turned around, "I didn't bring anything with me to carry all these rocks."

<Ding! I can temporarily open up the inventory for you>

"Inventory!" Aroon's eyes shone brightly when he heard that word. "It was locked last time I checked."

<Ding! I'll temporarily open it so you can store things there. But I have to warn you; won't be able access until unlock the inventory>

"Thanks," Aroon said with no emotion at all, "but it would be nicer to let me use it."

<Ding! complete its task soon and it's all yours. If not for the fact you are special I wouldn't have let use inventory before unlocking it>

"Yeah, I know," Aroon helplessly shook his head, "can you stop repeating you are special… please? You look like my girlfriend in some way."

<Ding! But you don't have any girlfriend>

"One day I'll have," Aroon laughed, "what a hero would be without a beauty lying on the side and waiting for him?"

<Ding! But you are no hero, simply a man with system>

"Stop it already," Aroon held the hammer with both arms, "you are getting on my nerves."

And then he started to hammer the walls of the entire room, taking down everything that shone there.

The moment he touched these rocks they vanished, and his system said he stored them inside the inventory he previously mentioned.

"What is the use of these ores?" Aroon asked while his body was drenched in sweat.

<Ding! Why are humans filled with all this doubt? Even your ego can't rival it!>

Aroon kept working on the walls while saying: "What do you mean by that?"

<Ding! Your race kept asking about every single thing. A very paradox issue if you asked me as a weak and helpless like yourselves should be grateful for all the help they get, not question it>

The system paused for a moment before adding, <Ding! For example, you have something no one else got and are questioning the use of it. It's simple, go out there test these rocks see. like any other race developed in entire universe!>

"Slow down big shot," Aroon said, "you are speaking like we aren't the only ones living in the universe."

<Ding! seriously?> the system shortly laughed, <Ding! I can't tell you now anything, but sooner or later and your entire race will know the answer>

Aroon felt the system was acting weird at this moment. All he did was to ask a simple question, a thing he wanted to get an answer for.

"First you don't have the right to question us," he calmly said, "we are weak, yes, but we are more stubborn than you might think. Plus who said we would accept anything without asking about it? Who knows what these things would end us at, salvation or extermination!"

<Ding! Quite a philosophical view coming from someone helpless before I appeared. Your doubtful nature is rivalling your ego like nothing ever saw>

"That doesn't change the fact about you hiding many secrets from us, besides…" Aroon finished breaking a large piece of ore, wiped the sweat off his forehead.

"See what you did to me? Instead of turning me into a mighty being like others, you are making me mine. What's next, huh? Teaching me how to fertilize the desert and plant crops?"

<Ding! If that would help more in your battle against extinction then I won't hesitate to make you do it>

"You… are hopeless," Aroon dropped the idea of getting anything out of the system and returned to his work.

He kept mining deep inside the dungeon until he reached towards the last room.

It took him quite long hours to reach that room. Even with his augmented superhuman strength and stamina, he still felt exhausted.
