13 Tent Zero

"What are you doing here?"

Just as Aroon reached tent zero to find a girl standing in front of its door. She was someone he knew from before, a fallen just like him.

"It's my tent," he simply motioned to the grand tent that was able to accommodate a group of no less than fifty people.

"Who said that?" the girl crossed her naked arms while her small muscles bulged off them.

It was Anna, one of the fallen here. A girl from South America, a Latino girl who got recruited to fight in the name of the O federation just like him.

She was pretty famous for the strong defensive superpower that made her slightly invincible.

"The captain said," Aroon simply answered while moving towards the closed door of the tent.

"I know a lot about you," Anna said, "but it's the first time to know you are a liar."

He paused for a moment there before continuing his walk. Anna was one of the special fallens here, at least for himself.

She lost one brother and one sister in one raid, another team of triplet twins who got punished for refusing to fight for one faction… She was simply a mirror of him, but with a power that made her be one of the strongest here.

"Your authorization, please."

The moment he reached the door, a metallic sound came before a small screen slipped from the side. He simply touched it with his thumb while a green laser passed fast, scanning his fingerprint.

"You are authorized to enter," the voice said and next a soft clang came while the door slid open in a smooth way.

"I'm not a liar," he turned to glance at the girl that was wearing only two pieces of clothes, showing most of her body. However, he knew how tough Anna was, not like any girl of her age.

Despite wearing it like that, she wasn't looking that sexy at all. Her harsh attitude with him just now was something she was famous about. Even she was harsh with her body, training it every single day at the central gymnasium of the town.

Or the one that was once there in the town.

"S- Sorry for that," she seemed quite embarrassed despite her stone features didn't show that at all. She had her entire body covered in weird tattoos, coupled with her bulging muscles she looked quite scary.

"Wanna come in?" he pointed to the tent before adding, "this is supposed to be the tents for all the fallens, right?"

"I still can't believe that man gave you permission to this tent and refused to give me one," she suddenly said in anger, "alright, lead the way tough boy."

He smiled before entering the tent.

"Wait for me!"

Suddenly another girl appeared running from far. It was Arora. Petit figure, red spiky hair, and slim body that looked quite weird when walking side by side with Anna.

And she had strange white pupils. Everyone knew her life story, as she got these eyes after losing three of her family alongside her stelsel.

From that day onward she was given a special power, the power to foresee things.

And her white eyes were a side effect of gaining such power.

"Sure," Aroon shrugged while entering the tent and leaving the door open for her to enter.

The tent was arranged like a small house. Towering up for three stories which circled a central gap where some necessities were available there.

"Damn! I never knew I was so hungry until now."

The moment he stepped inside the tent he smelled the fresh and fragrant smell of cooked food. He suddenly realized he stayed the entire night mining at the dungeon without any food or drink.

"Suit yourself," Anna said in a tired tone, "as for me I prefer a warm shower and a nice clean bed."

"Are you ok?" Arora asked while Aroon went to grab a pizza and let it get warm at one of the microwaves around.

"I'm… fine," Anna looked tense while giving Aroon a fast glance and ran up to the higher levels.

"Good night then," he waved to her and she only waved her hand in return. She headed towards one of the secluded sections inside this grand tent and vanished behind its curtain-like door.

"Can I have one?" Arora pointed to the pizza he was carrying off the microwave. He put the box over one of the tables around.

"Help yourself," he simply said before starting to eat.

The moment he put that slice in his mouth he found out he was hungrier than he initially thought. He started eating pizza like a monster, making Arora laugh at his look.

"I'll get another one ready," she moved and started to warm another pizza. "Where were you during the fight?" she asked while leaning her back to the microwave and crossed her arms.

Unlike Anna her arms were thin and her hands looked tiny. Arora shared a half Asian origin like him, and she came here to fight for the federation like him.

"I hid," he lied, "You know I can't fight."

"Yeah, I know that," she said while her white eyes kept staring at him.

"What?" he asked while she turned to get the pizza as the bell rang.

"Nothing," she put the pizza on the table before him. She sat on a chair just to be in front of him while gazing up with a look full of interest.

"Aren't you gonna eat?" he asked, trying to get her to look away.

"Do you know we had some deaths?" she suddenly said.

"Who?" he paused, "don't tell me it's Mark."

"Nah, that brat won't die this easily," she leaned her body to the back of her seat, "but Alex was one of them."

"Alex?" Aroon was surprised, "he is a foreteller, why did he fight?"

If Alex was the male prophet of the team, then Arora would be the female version of it.

"He had to," she moved her fingers over the table like she was enjoying telling this story, "Alex, Martha… and Yuan all fell during the fight," she added while watching the face of Aroon.

"Yuan is dead?" he couldn't help but ask, "but how? He is… was considered one of our strongest!"

"He had to step in to save Anna," Arora said before sighing, "things… were much messier than you think."

Aroon couldn't help but turn his gaze up towards the door Anna vanished behind.

"She is injured," Arora slowly said, "badly injured."

"She looks fine to me," Aroon returned to eat his pizza while feeling more annoyed by her stare.

"You know her," Arora said, "she stood up to defend all while taking most of the hits. I think Mark believes a hunter was the reason behind her injury."

"A… hunter?!" Aroon had to play dumbfounded when she mentioned that.

"Yeah, pretty crazy, right?"

He glanced at her while feeling more uncomfortable while she kept staring at him.

"But all of sudden that hunter stopped attacking, and many monsters were killed inside the town… Isn't it a bit… odd to you?"

He had to stop eating his pizza and glance at her white eyes. He wanted to ask her directly if she suspected him of doing anything, but he remained silent for a brief moment.

"It is," he simply said.
