14 Arora's Deep Philosophy About Superheroes

"I know, pretty crazy world, right?" she said while playing with her fingers over the table. "Someone mentioned he saw… a mecha killing monsters in the town."

"A mecha? That's absurd."

"I know," she nodded, "but many people saw him fighting monsters and…" she smiled as if she knew it was him, "they said he was a badass one."

"I… doubt that," he said while returning to eat his pizza as if he wasn't concerned about such a thing.

"Alex… had a prophecy before he fell," she said as she kept playing with her fingers. "Aren't you curious about it?"

"Indeed I am," he said without any enthusiasm. He even moved to get himself a cup of coffee while leaving more than half of the pizza on the table.

"Won't finish this?" she asked while taking the liberty to grab one slice.

"I lost my appetite," he said while giving her his back.

"I wasn't beside him when he said it, and when I heard it I couldn't tell what he meant… Wow, this pizza is super spicy," she didn't stop and ate the rest of the slice before grabbing another one.

"No one can tell what he meant except him," Aroon casually said the usual saying about Alex here.

"But I got a thing or two from it," she suddenly said, "yummy, I like this pizza. See if there is more of it out there."

He felt impatient towards her attitude. Arora was famous for giving her cold shoulder to anyone who wasn't a close friend.

And Aroon knew he wasn't one.

"What did you know?" he grabbed a random pizza and let it warm inside one microwave.

"Is it spicy?" she asked while ignoring his question.

"It's the available one here," he tried to maintain calm.

"It's fine, you can eat it in your room," she took a big bite off her slice. "I believe he was speaking about a man who is as powerful and dangerous as a lion, however, he is feigning weakness like a cat."

'That damn Alex!' Aroon inwardly cursed, 'he is always seeing through anything right, but he never saw his own sisters' death nor his own,' he inwardly sighed before taking the pizza box and left it on the table.

"My treat," he said before sitting there and taking a sip of his coffee.

"Thanks," Arora raised her half-eaten slice of pizza and didn't speak again.

"Who could he be then?" Aroon asked, "that mecha you all saw."

"We didn't see him," Arora corrected, "at least not me. Some of the survivors told legends about him after the fight was over."

"Oh," Aroon felt slightly at ease when he heard that.

"I believe he might be someone sent by the O federation or even the Rulers," Arora said.

"Screw them both," Arron loudly said, "they are the sole reason most of us ended up losing everything."

"They are just a bunch of bastards, I won't hesitate to kill them one by one if I had the chance!" Arora finished her slice before jumping over another one, "or when I got the strength to do that."

"John wants to go out there and look for that mecha," Arora said, "you know him, he wants to find his ticket out of here as fast as possible."

Aroon knew whom she was speaking about. He was one of the fallen, with American blood and pure selfishness running in his veins.

Despite losing his brothers like everyone here, he held high hopes of getting back to the federation. "He got his ticket already," Aroon took a sip of his coffee, "why caring about that mecha?"

"He believes he was sent here by the federation," Arora finished eating, "wanna coke?" she asked as she went to the nearby freezer.

"I'll pass on that," Aroon raised his mug in hand.

"He plans to go back with him," Arora opened her coke can and took a small sip, "who blames him? Getting such a free ride with a powerful being is a one in a million opportunity, right?"

"The issue isn't about how to get there," Aroon said, "it's about going there in the first place."

"He is a jerk," Arora shrugged, "we all know that. But he convinced Mark and others to go and gather intel about that mecha."

Aroon understood why Anna and she returned alone without everyone else. "What about you?"

She glanced deeply at him before suddenly saying:

"Do you know what Mark said about him?"

Aroon shook his head and she continued:

"He said he looks like a ray of hope in this dark cloud hovering on top of our heads," she paused before adding, "he believes this is just the beginning of a long dungeon hit. The attacks won't stop until all of us will truly fall and with it, all people here will die."

"I bet John used that speech to convince him," Aroon took a sip of his coffee while she nodded in agreement.

"Do you know what I would do if I was him? I was that mysterious mecha?" Arora suddenly said, and from her tone, Aroon became more suspicious of her.

"What?" he tried to act normal, and he took another sip of his mug to perfect that. "Going to the federation academy like John?"

"I would stand up and defend people," she said while ignoring his joke.

"What do you mean by that?" Aroon calmly asked as he glanced at her white eyes that looked creepy at this moment.

"People are facing a dead end," she calmly said while gazing fixedly at him like she was able to see through his mind and thoughts.

"Governments fell, worldwide organizations vanished. Even law and order ceased to exist. No one is protecting the weak for the sake of the good anymore. All are seeking their benefits at some point."

"Isn't this the case of the world since ancient times?" Aroon calmly asked.

"The deeds of the few greedy and selfish ones never branded our race or the rich history of humankind."

She calmly said before adding without blinking, "but we never had a time like this. Humans get butchered in some areas of the world while others close their eyes and turn their backs to them."

She paused while the silence gave more weight to her next words, "We always leaned towards helping each other even at the darkest times."

"But no one is helping anyone in this dark moment," Aroon said.

"That's not the fault of the people, but those with power," Arora said before adding, "See, the world always entrusts everything to those with power."

She leaned her body forward while resting her head over both arms and gazed at him.

"We… are cursed by people with power. The honest ones like us and many stelsel owners don't have time to even blink. We can't take care of other things going around in this vast world.

While those who are on top, supposed to be the rulers of the world, turned into the same thugs who are stealing everything away."
