Chapter 88: Jealous Kang Lei

In less just over a day the most talked about wedding is due to take place and though the News for the past week was primarily around the arrest of the Hung's and their underground criminal activity. People was still talking about the upcoming wedding of Dominic and MiMi, with only a few days to go the media outlets focus was once again back to countries number one couple.

It was impossible to escape the News, more so the pretending to be okay with the situation Kang Lei, at first he was okay to go along with Dominic's idea, but his possessiveness towards had intensified and Jr he become scornful that others thought Dominic was in love with his estranged sister.

Kang Lei sat up in bed and admired the with the still sleeping and extremely handsome face of Dominic lying peacefully beside him. Kang Lei couldn't help falling in love with him over and over again each day.

As usual in the mornings Kang Lei would check the morning gossip columns on his tablet and again he was greeted with the headlines filled with Dominic and MiMi. A sore taste came into Kang Lei's mouth he had the urge to throw the tablet into Dominic's head, even though he knows Dominic has no feelings for MiMi he couldn't help the resentful feeling in his heart.

To make matters worst today's topic was even more bothersom and had contain pictures of Dominic and Mimi on a supposed romantic date, in one of the pictures it appeared to be that Dominic was smiling, anger boiled up in Kang Lei's chest he pushed the arm that Dominic had wrapped around him and stormed off to the bathroom.

The half asleep Dominic jolted from his sleep confused of what's happening, only getting a glimpse of Kang Lei's back disappearing into the bathroom.

"Babe" Dominic called after him, thinking nothing o.f the situation and burying his head into Kang Lei's pillow breathing his lovers sweet omega scent.

He raised his head puzzled Kang Lei's scent was a bit off but still sweet, "maybe his heat is coming again" Dominic said to himself picking up his phone to see that he still had a little time left before getting up so he decided to sleep a little longer having exhausted himself in the early hours of the morning.

After another hour Dominic finally awoke to the sound of his alarm, he looked around searching for his morning kiss to come but he was disappointed when he didn't see the man he was looking for nor was his usual breakfast prepared and left at his bedside.

He got out of the bed and headed straight to the bathroom curious if Kang Lei was still in there all this time, he was sure he saw Kang Lei go to the bathroom earlier, "honey? honey?" He called out opening the bathroom door to be greeted by an empty space, as he was about to go and find where his lover had gone, only to interrupted by his phone ringing, he quickly went to see if it was is Secretary but was annoyed the second he saw the caller ID it was MiMi Wuxian. "Miss WuXain why do you call so early" again he spoke to her with indifference and coldness.

"Good morning, I just wanted to remind you of our wedding photo shoot first thing this morning, the photographer needs to see take some pictures of us together and we have already missed so many appointments… you did remember right?" MiMi asked in a sadden tone, she was quite upset as they are due to have their wedding in a few days and still there was no pictures of them done professionally, everyone had been asking if Dominic was having colds feet. Having been dealing with Dominic for the past weeks she was still no closer to having the man warm up to her no matter how hard she tried. Dominic would continue to address her as nothing but a business partner not even a small smile was ever present.

"I didn't forget" he replied coldly abruptly hanging up the phone. Looking at the time he didn't have much time to get dressed and get the appointment, he looked around the room one more time hoping to see the person he so desperately wanted to hold, but regrettably he went to get himself ready to go.

Kang Lei on the other hand was sulking in BoJings room, "daddy are you okay?" Asked BoJing seeing that his father was unusually quite.

"Huh? Am fine sweetie, daddy's just thinking" he replied

"Did you want to me to help you think?" Asked a cute BoJing

"Pfff no BoBo am okay, oh am going to into school today I need to speak to my professor so you be good for grandma and grandpa okay". Kang Lei remember he still needed to discuss his options with his professor, after all he hadn't completed his internship so he didn't know how he was going to explain everything to his professor.

Having spent the last hour in BoJings room Kang Lei was expecting Dominic to come and look for him, considering the man doesn't leave his side for a second when he's home. He had already prepared himself to give him the cold shoulder till Dominic would go on his knees begging him to te him what's wrong.

"Dominic and MiMi! Dominic and MiMi, hump what's so great about her and her pear shape head" he mumbled to himself like an annoyed child, he despised the media of pair the two as a perfect couple, "he's mine not her's" he pouted peeping out of BoJings door to see if he could see Dominic searching for him. but another hour had passed and still Dominic hadn't appeared, finally a knock came from BoJing's door Kang Lei tried hard not smile but any time he's apart from Dominic he gets excited to see the other even if it's only been two hours.

Kang Lei went to the open the door his mind set and ready to ignore Dominic even if the man was undeniably irresistible. "Good morning mistress" greeted BoJing's private tutor to Kang Lei's disappointed, he looked over the teachers shoulder looking to see if Dominic was behind him but again he the man was nowhere to be seen.

"Huh Mistress are you looking for someone" asked the beta tutor, pulling Kang Lei back to reality, "oh— I was just checking I thought I saw a fly behind you, I must have been mistaken please come in" Kang Lei said depressed, Kang Lei watched as the tutor set up for her lesion with BoJing, "BoBo enjoy your class daddy's going to go and thank you Miss" said bowing his head to leave.

Kang Lei quickly went to his and Dominic's bedroom hoping that Dominic was still asleep but his lover wasn't there and he instead was greeted by the house maids "good morning mistress, would you like anything" asked one of the maids.

"Hmmm no…I take it Dominic's downstairs"

"Oh no master has just left Mistress, he did seem a little upset is everything okay?" the maid asked hoping to catch some juicy gossip.

"Oh no- no- no everything's fine haha!"He answered laughing awkwardly as he went red in embarrassment.

Kang Lei heart sank, what could be so important that Dominic would need to run off so quickly without even doing his usual checking on him and BoJing.

'Ping' his phone sounded with a notification, a smile came to his face when he saw the screen name 'my gently giant' appeared across his phone, he opened message to read "my love sorry I had to run and not even get to kiss those soft lips of yours, I promise I'll make up too you tonight by kissing you a 100 times, tell our BoBo I'll see him later and I love you both my queen and soon to be Mrs Lanxian" Dominic messaged, Kang Lei couldn't help but smile but he was still annoyed that Dominic left without saying goodbye bye. Kang Lei looked at the message again and decided not reply, "seeing that he didn't come and looked for me you're not getting a reply Mr" he stubbornly moaned.

For the past week Kang Lei had realised his mood was some what erratic and he found himself becoming irritable easily, he even wanted more and more to be around Dominic. "ahhhh, what's wrong with me lately!.....Kang Lei get it together stop being so clingy!" He frustratingly scolded himself, getting his stuff to leave.

However, for Dominic he was puzzled that Kang Lei hadn't contacted him for a while, he called his mother concerned "mum....his kang Lei there?" He whispered not wanting anyone to over hear him. "Oh no dear he said he was going to his school to speak to his professor and don't you have a tracker on him why you asking me?" she wondered the reason for Dominic's odd behaviour, "he what! what if he's seen by someone"? Dominic rubbed his head worried, Mrs Lanxian laughed "hahaha! son I assure you your wife is fine, besides he's dressed like a ninja he gave me fright". "hmmm, okay" he replied hanging up the phone.

Dominic immediately addressed the photographer in such a cold demeanour he scared the man by just looking at him, "you! are we done here?" He asked eyes dark and threatening, the photographer a small beta male struggled to get his words out fear flowing through him. "w--- well Mr Lanxian--- w--e still--have a few frames left and we need you to stand closer to Miss WuXain....a--mmm and maybe wrap your arms around her Huh?

Dominic gave the man a cold glare "let me correct myself we're done here" he stated harshly nodding his head to Daniel as he began to leave. Mimi chased after him gabbing his arm, "Dominic! please we need to finish" she panicked and tried to stop him, "Miss WuXain do you still need me to correct you of what is my name...hump!?" He asked coldly, Mimi looking embarrassingly around as all eyes within the room was watching them, some even whispering of the odd interaction "wow he's even so cold to his future wife" a female commented to her colleague, "I know right...he doesn't seem like he even like her" added another.

"I asked what his my name?" Dominic replied after MiMi stood looking at him blankly. "M..Mr Lanxian" she responded through clenched fist, the sheer humiliation was more than she can take, with not even a response Dominic left MiMi standing in the middle of hall a mockery for all to see.

by the time Kang Lei had gotten home Dominic was already standing at the door waiting for him, "honey are you okay, why have you been ignoring me all day?" Dominic took hold of Kang Lei's worried he had upset his beloved. Kang Lei however was trying hard to maintain his composure, he wanted to see through with his plan of making Dominic beg, though he desperately wanted to feel his lovers arms wrapped around him.

"I thought you was too busy with MiMi to remember me" he stubbornly moved away trying to avoid any eye contact, "Huh...okay what's happening right now honey are you serious?" Dominic was puzzled was Kang Lei jealous, "honey ... are you jealous?" He grinned happily, "what are you smiling about? what can't wait to be married in few days, all I hear all day Dominic and MiMi, Dominic and Mimi" he mockingly said rolling his eyes, Dominic without a second thought got on his knees bowing repeatedly and apologising "am sorry please forgive me". all the servants looked shockingly at Dominic, an embarrassed Kang Lei quickly tried to get him to stand up "what you doing get up!" He hurriedly pulled Dominic by his arm, "so am I forgiven my love" Dominic stood up without an ounce of shame, "yes! yes you're forgiven" Kang Lei whispered his face red from everyone looking at them, he was never going to win with Dominic submitting to him so easily the man was surly whipped in love.
