Chapter 43- Michael’s punishment P1

After Kang Lei had yet again run off, Dominic remained still for a while, dazed and slightly saddened that their moment hadn't lasted longer. Hadn't they been interrupted, he wasn't confident to say he wouldn't have gone further and bedded Kang Lei. "God dammit" he ran his hand through his hair frustrated at his own lack of self-control, he wasn't sure if it was the influence of the alpha X gene or he himself that wanted the man. Nonetheless, he didn't feel please at not having held his omega longer and that was all due to one person, "Michael!" He roared, storming back to the direction of his room.

As he had expected, Michael was already on his hands and knees bowing repeatedly "brother, please....please ....am sorry don't kill me" Michael's voice was slightly trembling, not so much out of fear but If there's one person in this world whom he knows was beyond petty, then Dominic Lanxian would receive the grand prize.

However, Dominic done something unexpected, he was calm and didn't appear to have any hostility "get up am not mad", Dominic calming spoke walking pass Michael to go and sit down.

Michael was dumbfounded, "huh? Bro....brother, are you certain?" He asked, cautiously raising from the floor.

Dominic looked at him with clear eyes and an expressionless face, "Michael how long have we known each other, you know me better than anyone, so what do you think?" Dominic asked seriously, but his tone of voice sinister yet somewhat mocking, making what he said sound sarcastic.

Michael gave a nervous chuckle and stretched the back of his head before mumbling "yah, I know you're beyond petty".

Dominic glared at him with dangerous eyes and sternly responded, "what did you just say? Clearly you're seeking your own death".

Michael pretend Dominic had missed heard him "brother I said you're beyond gracious, I just didn't want to embarrass you with such compliment" he gravelled trying his hardest to convince Dominic.

"Oh, shut up, why are you here anyway?" Asked Dominic in a more relaxed manner.

"Your Butler called, he said you were trying to kill everyone again. Well..... he didn't say that, but something along those lines. So, what happened how come you lost control" Michael asked taking a seat near Dominic who was sighing and had a complicated look on his face.

Dominic was silent for a moment, he got up and when to pour himself and Michael a drink from his mini bar located In his room.

"MiMi WuXain was here, I think she drugged me, but that's not what's important. You recall that time I asked you to look into Kang Lei's background" he looked to Michael to confirm.

"Oh yah I couldn't find anything and the guys who we went to keep an eye on him said he doesn't seem suspicious, why did you find something?" He asked, curious, taking a sip of his drink.

"Mmmmm, that's because his real name is Xi WuXain"

"What! The Wuxian's dead kid, well, I'll be damned, am more surprised they never killed him" Michael responded with the look of disbelief on his face.

Dominic scoffs and sighed inwards, "I thought so myself after his body was never found... from the way MiMi was talking, looks like they had sold him to an orphanage.. I am going to need you to find out which orphanage it was" Dominic said with a flash of hatred in his eyes.

"Sure thing bro...sooooo ahem" Michael raised his eyebrows and gave Dominic a suggestive smile as if to silently ask him what's going on between him and Kang Lei just now.

Dominic drank the remaining contents in his glass, got up without paying any further attention to Michael and said, "looks like you want me to punish you"

"Huh! What punishment, I thought you said you forgave me" Michael jumped up out his seat in surprise, and thought to himself, "this man called Dominic Lanxiuan is seriously too cruel".

"When did I say that? I said I wasn't mad and am not, but you upset your future sister-in-law, so you have to pay the price" Dominic spoke in a matter fact kind of way, retreating from his room.

Michael didn't dispute, he knew this was going to be the worst punishment of his life, he interlocked his fingers on the top of his head, and looked to the ceiling while cursing out loudly, "ahh shit!"

Unconcerned by Michael's despair, Dominic had gone to the Kitchen area to find Kang Lei, in hopes of taking the other home, but was told he had already left, he checked his watch, and discovered it was already late in the evening. Feeling annoyed that he had spent far too much time in discussion with Michael, he prepared himself to visit the man in person. However, his plans failed when his parents and brother arrived unannounced, Dominic sighed deeply and muttered to himself, "is today a public holiday for the uninvited?".
