296 Fury (Part Two)

Jing Yichen stiffened after hearing what Jing Yiran said.

He turned his head slowly in dread, only to see Shangguan Ning standing at the door. Her face was pale and her eyes held contempt.

When Jing Yichen saw her, his heart calmed down a bit. He asked softly, "What are you doing here, Ning?"

"Oh yeah? I am not allowed here? Am I breaking any laws by being here?"

She sounded very fierce, totally different from Shangguan Ning who tended to be gentle. Apparently, she was annoyed. Jing Yichen strode to her and wanted to take hold of her hands. But she retreated.

"It is not what you think, Ning, don't leave!" Jing Yichen was a bit anxious. He somehow raised his voice and suddenly he was no longer calm, like his usual self.

"Why would I leave?"
