My Second Life in Another World

As night descends, a man sits alone, lost in thoughts of grief on his birthday, mourning the loss of his parents. Seeking solace, he turns to alcohol, hoping to numb the pain. But when he wakes the next day, he finds himself in a strange new world, gifted with powers he unknowingly acquired in his intoxicated state. Rather than succumbing to despair, he chooses to face the unknown with resilience and determination. Exploring this unfamiliar realm, he uncovers hidden truths about himself, unlocking a wellspring of abilities he never knew existed. Driven by an unwavering desire to be reunited with his parents, he embarks on a quest to understand his newfound powers and the world that now surrounds him. Throughout his journey, he forms alliances, overcomes adversaries, and lends a helping hand to those in need. If there are also those who pose a threat to his loved ones. He confronts these challenges head-on, employing diverse strategies beyond mere violence. From Solo Leveling to The Beginning After The End to Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint, follow this man's story as he tries to make sense of his new reality and find his way back to his loved ones. …. Before you begin reading the story, I'd like to share a few important points. The main character (MC) is a good-natured and cheerful person, so don't expect him to become excessively violent or aggressive from the start. However, he won't let others walk all over him and will deal with anyone he sees as a potential threat. How he handles these situations won't always involve violence, but you'll understand more about this as you progress into the second part of the story. The first part is meant to be uplifting and doesn't involve much danger because the MC is already powerful. Its purpose is mainly to introduce the MC's personality and the female characters who will develop romantic feelings for him. I did my best with my writing skills at the time, so I apologize if it's not as good as you'd like. Your feedback and thoughts are welcome, as I value your input. While this story can be enjoyed as a lighthearted harem fanfic commonly found in web novels, if you take the time to explore the sentences and scenarios, you'll find deeper meaning beneath the surface. Ultimately, it's up to you as the reader to interpret and decide whether it's a typical fanfic with an overpowered MC and a harem or something more meaningful when read with greater thought and investment. I've learned this through my writing experiences. Give it a try and let me know your thoughts after reading. I deeply appreciate all of my readers, and I am truly grateful to those who enjoy reading this story. Your support means a lot to me. At the same time, I want to apologize to those who didn't find it appealing or satisfying. Anyway thanks for taking the time to engage with my work, and I will try to improve and deliver content that you may like one day. That is all, Thank you for reading. Note: This story is a fan fiction and I do not own any of the characters. Really?

"Then let's go to the Registration Office first," Min-hyuk said and Soo-young looked confused.

"What is that?" This is why she was even going through all of this trouble, she needed information, and who else would be better to give that than someone who was here before her?

'And if he is shady I can just cut him down,' Soo-young was prepared just in case, and as she was having such thoughts Min-hyuk answered her question.

"When a new member arrives they have to go there to get a card from there,"

"A card?" Soo-young wondered what Haru's group was up to.

'Do they have time for doing this shit?' But that was beside the point, since there was no way she would know what these people were up to anyway.

"Yes, like this one," Min-hyuk showed Soo-young a white card, that looked more like a business card with his name and a dotted pattern on it, "You can't use any of the facilities in the area without this card so it is very important." He further added.

"I see… If it weren't for you I wouldn't have known, thank you," Soo-young said and Min-hyuk just waved his hands.

"No No, I am sure someone else would've helped you out, there are many good people here," He smiled modestly but...

"No, I was lost for a while… but no one helped me," Soo-young said looking down, "That is why I am really thankful to you." Before looking up and speaking to him.

"A-Ah, I see," This caused Min-hyuk to get flustered and…

'Someone fucking kill me, smash me into a bloody paste,' Soo-young felt like vomiting because of her acting.

So, if she didn't like it, why was she doing it?

[Many constellations of the Absolute Evil alignment are enjoying the show.]

[The Constellation 'Abyssal Black Flame Dragon' is looking forward to what will happen next.]

[The Constellation Prisoner of the Golden Headband is preparing his popcorn.]

[The Constellation Secretive Plotter is smirking.]

[The Constellation Queen Of The Darkest Spring is giggling in amusement.]

[The Constellation Desserts For Days is enjoying his Ice Cream.]

[10,000 coins have been sponsored.]

'I am getting a lot of coins, so I have to suck it up,' Soo-young groaned, 'Doesn't he do anything else besides eating his damn ice cream?!' she was looking at her future supporting constellation, and was furious that he was like this. 'Like be a little cool, will you?'

But leaving that aside, she had to focus on Min-hyuk to get more information.

"Also cards are important since with them you would be able to get jobs," Min-hyuk finally said something that interested Soo-young.

"Jobs?" But she was a little surprised to find out what these cards were used for.

"Yes, currently the entire group is divided into two groups," Min-hyuk raised his fingers, "first one is the combat group which goes out of the group's territory, and the second consists of people who don't go out of the territory."

"So, you mean that there are jobs for both of them?" Min-hyuk nodded at her words.

"But the combat groups get extra perks, like free food and accommodation since they hunt monsters, and the second group has to pay for stuff," Soo-young blinked at those words.

"Pay? With what?" That was a genuine question because the normal money from before was useless.

"With coins, of course," Min-hyuk said that like it was normal, the currency from before was gone, coins were now used for all transactions.

"So, the combat group must make a good amount," Soo-young said and Min-hyuk nodded, not only did they get paid to fight, but they would also get money from the constellations who were watching, "Then what about the people who can't fight?" she was curious how Haru's group tackled this problem since there was no way they would leave it as is, since now that it costs coins to keep things going, they would certainly need to think how to not run out of the necessities.

"Yeah, they also have jobs but depending on the type of job the pay varies," Looking at the curious-looking Soo-young, Min-hyuk continued, "Like if you do normal desk jobs like at the registration office, or the other shops in the area you would be paid less, because the job has no danger but the money is enough for one to survive."

"So, that means there are some jobs that require risk?" Soo-young asked and he nodded.

"Jobs which require them to go out of the secured territory are seen as dangerous, also jobs regarding carrying monster corpses hunted by the combat groups from the frontline are also paying higher than other jobs," Min-hyuk knew about this because, "Basically jobs that require manual labor and higher risk are paid higher than the jobs that don't."

"Do you…?" Soo-young had noticed that his clothes were stained by blood, and he had nothing on him aside from normal clothes, so there was only one thing he could do given his knowledge of the jobs he talked about the most.

"Ah, no I don't go outside, I work in the food storage area in the back, it was a rough day today as you can see, hahaha," He laughed awkwardly, and Soo-young could feel that his presence was becoming smaller after saying that.

'Jeez dude I was just joking before, did you really fall for me or something?' Soo-young moved a little away, since this guy was acting a bit dangerously.

"So, is there anything else you want to know?" Min-hyuk asked as he recovered from his depression quickly.

"Ah, yes I heard that a lot of groups came together to form this area, how is their situation?" Soo-young asked and…

"Hmm?" Min-hyuk titled his head, "That's a question I didn't expect you to ask."

'What?' Soo-young looked at Min-hyuk wondering, 'Did I jump the gun?' she felt like she got overconfident, and asked a bad question because she thought he wouldn't raise an eyebrow since she was asking it.

"I …was just worried since I heard that this group is made with multiple big groups," Soo-young tried to justify her point and…

"Hmm, it makes sense that you would be worried now that I look about it that way," It worked phenomenally, "It can make a lot of newcomers uneasy because of the uncertainty."

"….Yeah," Soo-young nodded trying to pass it off as an obvious question and it was working since this guy was buying her nonsense, he even made it seem like it was an obvious concern, just to agree with her.

'Yep, this poor guy…' Soo-young thought, but that was all the pity she could offer.

"Well, there is no need to worry about that here," Min-hyuk said, the reason why this can be a big concern is that, this group was now considered a melting pot of all of the big groups in Seoul.

"The groups have merged together and work properly," He further expanded on the topic, "I heard that it was because of something that happened in Gwang-hwamun Square, and because of that most of the groups that lost their leaders there joined this group and are working under the main group which is from Chung-muro."

"I know that it isn't much because I don't know enough, haha," Min-hyuk laughed a little sadly, he didn't know what actually caused these groups to come together, and because of that lack of knowledge he didn't create a good picture.

"No, it's alright, I didn't even know that," Soo-young looked thankful, because even if she knew more than Min-hyuk about what happened at Gwang-hwamun.

'I have no idea what happened after that,' She had used pretty much all of her avatar against Haru at Gwang-hwamun, and she didn't have the leeway to make some more for scouting purposes, 'But I can guess how they gathered all of those scattered people.' She narrowed her eyes. 'It would be crazy if that was planned and he really wanted that to happen.' But she shook her head since there was no way. 'There should be no way for that to happen.... it is impossible.'

"We're here," Min-hyuk brought Soo-young out of her thoughts and she looked in front of her.

'So, they repurposed the security office of the area into an office,' Soo-young examined the two-floor building in front of her, and she glanced at the people who were entering and leaving the premise.

'Most of them are wearing clothes like this guy, and then some with weapons…' Soo-young entered the place and noticed some things immediately.

"Most of the people in the combat group are out at the moment, they are working extra hours today, or else they would've already been back by now," This was when Min-hyuk told her about the situation and she nodded in understanding.

'They were quite busy because of what they pulled off today,' Soo-young understood an important point because of this, 'So, it wasn't a reach when he said that groups have really combined.' Because it didn't look like Haru's group alone pulled all of the weight, the other groups were also putting in an effort.

"Come on, I'll take you to the registration window,"
