253 No Peppers

Hearing that she would be leaving soon, Merial worried about Alea seeing her almost like her own daughter, but she was more than happy to see Alea smile so brightly.

It was certain that Alea had gotten over the loss of her mana core. And for that, the Eraliths were very grateful to Haru. Although it was regretful that she won't be able to meet him for quite some time since it wasn't known how long they'll be gone. Alea hadn't told anyone about how she can use Mana again because it will only cause problems and there was no need to do that.

Zenobia on the other hand also didn't have many people she could call family. There was only Randel who was her little brother and she talked with him about what she will be doing.

Things went off swiftly and two more days passed there was an impromptu send-off party held in Haru's home. The participants were Arthur, Tessia, Elijah, Curtis, Kathyln, Randel, and Claire.

The kids were here to say goodbye to Haru before he leaves but it was about time for Dinner and they were all gripped by the delicious food that was coming out of the kitchen.

"Are you brats here to say goodbye to me or stuff yourself?" Haru frowned a little seeing how the kids were eating like they haven't had anything in a while.

"Nom* Of Nom* Course it is to Nom* see you off, Nom* NOM*," Arthur said with an earnest look.

Kyu* Kyu*

Sylvie cried out cheerfully saying that she was here to send Haru off with her mouth covered in sauce.

"I would've believed you if you weren't devouring everything in the sight," Haru spoke in a flat tone.

"Don't listen to him eat nicely kids, It is only proper that you have a large appetite since you're still growing," Kanae spoke as she walked into the room and placed a big pot full of curry on the table.

"Yeah I don't know why Professor thinks everything revolves around him, All of us need to eat since we won't be able to eat this delicious food for who knows how long," Randel side-eyed Haru while everyone else nodded at the comment of the food is the best.

"Hahaha, Is that so kid, make sure to eat a lot okay," Kanae laughed heartily smacking Randel's back a few times before going towards the kitchen to get more food ready alongside Hae-in.

"A-All of my food almost came out," Randel's body was shaken after a few hits to the back by Kanae causing Haru to smirk. The others at the table couldn't help but shake their head at how Haru was.

Although they liked this side of him since it brought a lot of liveliness to the house but they wanted to see him being more serious.

'Haru looks better when he is serious, at least that is what I think,' Zenobia wondered if there was a reason why Haru was like this. She had seen him for quite some time now and she even saw Queresha's collection of Haru's pictures and videos which were obtained god knows how.

"Zenobia here have this," Haru whispered to Zenobia while putting some of the bell peppers on her plate.

"You don't like peppers at all, do you Haru?" Zenobia spoke in a low voice so that the others don't listen to it.

"I-It is not like that, I don't feel like eating them today," Haru tried to play it cool.

"Just like every other day?" Zenobia asked with a smile and Haru just looked away pouting a little.

"Hey you Damn Professor, what are doing blowing hot air in my sister's ears? Right in front of me as well," Randel huffed angrily pointing at Haru with his fork.

'So you fine when he does without you around? But it is understandable,' The others at the table nodded since they know the feeling to some extent.

While Zenobia was blushing lightly trying to play it cool.

"Don't shout at the dinner table or you'll get hit," Haru pointed at the door and Kanae walked in.

"Damn it, the food is so good, more for me," Randel sat down before anyone noticed and quickly asked for more. He didn't want to get hit because he might have his innards come out of his mouth.

'Well it isn't like this is something bad, everyone has something they don't like, besides I think this side of him is cuter sometimes,' Zenobia coughed fanning her face, since she can already imagine a little Haru with the same behaviors as him calling her mom. 'T-That is too fast,'

Everyone ate to their hearts' content filling themselves up to the brim, with that the cooking contest between Hae-in and Kanae ended with…..

Hae-in won, and Kanae accepted it with a shrug but everyone knew if there was fish Kanae would've won hands down. She is on another level when it comes to making dishes with fish.

The Next day,

Everyone was ready to go to Seoul for a short stay before they go off to the new world.

"Haru here this is for you," Zenobia gave Haru a letter and he had a questioning look.

"It is from Randel, he told me to give it to you," Zenobia said with a smile.

Haru opened the letter and saw the words.

To Professor,

Take care of my sister, I'll be waiting for her here...

There was only one line on the page, and it wasn't supposed to be that way, Haru could see that Randel wanted to write more with how many shadows of characters Haru could see.

'Well, he definitely erased it over and over, well I get the gist of it,' Haru smiled before folding the paper before keeping it in his inventory.

"Eh? Randy has really grown up hasn't he? I thought he would bawl his eyes out since you were leaving," Alea nodded with appreciation since the snotty brat finally grew up. Alea still had a grudge against him over him stealing her indirect kiss with Haru.

"Well….He did cry for like 2 days straight," Zenobia shook her head but there was a gentle smile on her face.

"What? Is that why you didn't come for two days?" Alea asked in surprise and Zenobia nodded.

"Haru what are you doing?" Jin-ah who walked out of the house asked Haru with interest.

"Nothing let's go we don't want to be late," Haru said and pulled Jin-ah inside the house with a laugh.

"Acting so secretly, No fair," Jin-ah puffed up her face but went into the house.

"Zenobia come on let's go, if we are late Boss(Queresha) will get mad," Alea spoke with a little bit of fear.

'Thank you Haru,' Zenobia looked at the crow flying in the distance before walking inside the house to start her first adventure.

In the commercial district,

People walking across the place looked at Zenobia's shop from time to time, the reason for this was the notice outside the shop.

'The shop will be closed for the foreseeable future,' that was written on the notice.

It was shocking news because since this shop was open it has never been closed not even once, there were only a handful of people who could enter the shop, But even then the shop was always open daily.

Inside the shop in one of the rooms, Randel had his face buried in the pillow.

If there was someone else in the room they'd hear muffled screams coming from Randel.

He was somehow able to hold it in while seeing Zenobia off but after she left he has been crying like no tomorrow.

TICK* TICK*

Randel looked up from his bed after hearing something hitting his window glass.

'A crow?' Randel frowned and turned away again not bothering.

TICK* TICK* TICK*

As if pissed off by his action the crow started hitting the window again.

"Damn you annoying bastard, at least let me cry in peace," Randel jumped off his bed and opened the window.

Caw*

The crow sighed looking at Randel and shook his head.

"Did you just shake your head at me? You think I am a crybaby, huh?" Randel got angry.

Caw* Caw*

The crow was a bit shocked since Randel was able to understand him.

"How do I know? Since that Professor sent you it is easy to understand you," Randel spoke of it like it wasn't a big deal.

The crow stepped back with a wary look in its eyes.

"Stop looking at me like I am a creep, Why are you here?" Randel was holding super angry if not for the fact that he could beat the crow he would've cooked it.

The crow gave him a piece of paper that was on its leg.

Randel opened the folded paper and saw Haru's handwriting.

[You better prepare for a celebration went we return,

P.S: No Bell peppers on the menu.....]

That was what was written on the paper.
