84 Conference Starts

"Hey, Haru I didn't expect to sit beside you." A high energetic voice sounded as Haru was going towards his seat.

The voice attracted the group's attention and they looked at the beauty with sun-kissed skin waving her hand at Haru.

Hae-in looked at the women.

'Is she the woman Queresha talked about? Well, she is quite a beautiful and charming woman.' Hae-in thought and felt Haru's hand around her palm tighten causing her to look at him and he winked at her causing her to snort.

"Asma how have you been?" Haru said as he sat down on his seat that was beside Asma.

"Oh, I had a good rest after you helped us but I need to work harder so the same situation doesn't happen again," Asma said with a smile as she looked at Haru and Hae-in who were holding hands opening while they sat down.

"Holding hands in public, how lewd. I didn't know you were like this Haru." Asma said as she tried to sound cheerful but her eyes reflected her sadness a little.

'SIGH*, It is still hard to forget about it,' Asma thought as she looked at the couple.

"I forgot, this is Hae-in my girlfriend," Haru said as he looked at Asma.

"Nice to meet you, My name is Cha Hae-in thank you for taking care of him when he was in Africa," Hae-in said with a polite smile.

"Ah, No No he was the one who took care of me instead," Asma said while waving her hands.

And then they started talking to each other like they have been friends for years.

"Yo, lady killer you finished flirting," Haru heard a voice from behind and looked at Thomas and Zhigang sitting there with the giant grinning as always.

"Come on, I am not flirting with anyone," Haru said with a smile.

"So did you like the wine?" Zhigang asked.

"Oh, I loved it," Haru said with a smile.

Both Zhigang and Thomas laughed then they talked about the things that have happened in their country they were discussing about random topics. And the time to start the conference came.

"Hello, ladies and Gentlemen. Now we will start the International Guild Conference, please give it up for Mr. Felix Halland the President of the International Hunters Association." The Host of the event said and everyone looked at him.

Then they saw the President of the International Hunters association walk up to the podium he was a handsome middle-aged man with blonde hair and purple eyes a well-built body wearing a purple business suit with a white dress shirt. He stood in front of the podium and adjusted the mic then spoke.

"Good Evening everyone, thank you all of you for coming here by taking time out of your schedule and...…." He talked about all the things that had happened in the year or more like the big events that have occurred during the year as he mentioned about the increase in the number of gates and awakened. While talking about the massive wave of S-rank gates that happened with pictures of the location showing behind him, the hunters were acting like kids do in the morning assembly they were just talking among themselves as they knew all of the stuff that Felix was talking about, although Felix knew that it was all useless stuff he had to talk about it as he wasn't giving this information to the hunters.

The reason he was talking about this was to give the common people who were watching from home an idea of what had happened in the world. As common people seldom check foreign news because they are busy living their daily life unless it affects their surroundings they aren't going to bother checking it. He talked for about an hour as he finished his piece and then.

"...….Now that we have finished with all of that we will talk about the main event for tonight," when he said that the ears of everyone present perked up as this was the main reason they were here for.

"We sent Petitions to every Hunter Association in the world to ask their opinion about the promotion of a Certain hunter to National Rank Hunter, and the response is this." When Felix said those words a data sheet was shown on the giant screen.

"97% Yes, 3% No, so with that we will have our new National Rank Hunter, everyone please give your Applause to the Young man who made many accolades these past months..." Felix stopped and then.

"….Mr. Sung Jin-Woo the guild Master of Ah-Jin Guild from Korea," Felix said and the crowd that was ready to clap stopped for a second they thought there was a mistake.

"Did they make a mistake?" asma said with Hae-in also thinking the same.

"No, I don't think they would make such a silly mistake. Did you make a speech?" Haru said as he looked at Jin-woo who was looking at him.

"What I had to make a speech?" Jin-woo looked horrified for a second.

"What I didn't tell you?" Haru asked as he tilted his head.

"Of course, you didn't Bastard," Jin-woo said as he got angry.

"Oh, my bad I forgot," Haru said as he rubbed the back of his head with a smile.

"Don't act so nonchalant you fucker," Jin-woo hissed in anger.

"Hehe," Haru just laughed which caused Jin-woo's anger to boil over as veins appeared on his forehead.

'This is interesting,' The whole group thought as they looked at the two bickering with each other.

Seeing the awkward atmosphere in the air Felix coughed to get the attention of the crowd.

"…There has been no mistake, so don't be like that. And Mr. Sung please come to the stage," Felix said as he chuckled and Jin-woo walked towards the stage under the applause but not before he glared at Haru.

"Will.... he be alright," Hae-in asked Haru.

"Maybe," Haru shrugged his shoulder with a smile, and hae-in laughed looking at him.

Asma was looking at them from the side and shook her head in dismay.

Jin-woo stood in front of the podium as his accolades were displayed on the screen with some clips of the raids he has been in.

The hunters who have seen all of the footage still couldn't believe that this guy can summon all of those beasts and control them so skilfully but that wasn't all he himself was strong as shown in a clip where he killed an S-rank dungeon boss alone without his summons.

"Then we will have a few words from Mr. Sung…." Felix said as he walked away from the podium and Jin-woo stood in front of the podium he didn't have a speech ready so he didn't know what to say. He saw Haru trying hard to control his laughter but failed as he put his head down as his shoulders trembled and he laughed. Jin-woo could feel his anger rise as he looked at the guy who was the root cause of all this and glared at him.

"Ahem, I would like to thank you all for the title that you have given me, I really appreciate it," Jin-woo said as he walked away from the podium.

'Was that all….' The hunters thought as they looked at Jin-woo whose face heated up a bit because of the gazes, but he ignored that with the muffled laughter as he looked at Haru who was on his knees laughing like a madman as he covered his mouth Jin-ho was the same as he was squirming in his chair while covering his mouth while Hae-in and Joo-hee could smile wryly at their behavior.

'Haru, you better get ready.' Veins appeared on Jin-woo's neck and temple as his magic leaked a little putting the whole hall into a sense of dread.

"M-Mr. Sung Here is your Medal." Felix was in a cold sweat as he handed Jin-woo his medal.

"Thank you," Jin-woo said in an ice-cold voice which caused Felix to step back a bit.

Jin-woo then walked down the stage and walked towards his seat then sat on his seat with a harrumph.

Haru was having a hard time suppressing his laughter but stopped when Hae-in pulled his ear.

"Ok, stop that is enough," Hae-in said and Haru nodded as he stopped laughing while Jin-woo was glaring at Jin-ho who shriveled up because of the glare.

"N-now then the next important announcement for the day is about the introduction of the New rank," Felix said as he calmed himself down after what happened and spoke about the new hunter rank.

Everyone in the hall looked over and they were paying full attention to what was happening as they were shocked about the introduction of a new rank.

"We sent another petition to the hunter associations around the world for the introduction of the new rank because of a certain hunter, we had to introduce a new rank because of the particular hunter who is way more powerful than what our system could handle and giving this hunter the same rank that existed wasn't something we wanted to do and the public opinions also reflected it as we received many requests for this that our employees weren't able to sleep for days. Now then let's talk about what this hunter has done," Felix said and a video started playing on the screen that showed Haru's Raid footage from his different S-rank gates to the monsters that were Kamish level to the ones which were stronger than Kamish. It showed how he killed them all.

The people in the room were shocked although they knew about what happened but still it doesn't lessen the shock of the achievements.

"The results of the petition was that all of the associations agreed to it so now we will give it up for the Hunter that has caused this scenario, Let's welcome the person who caused all of this, Mr. Tsugikuni Haru or better known as 'The Emperor' the First and possibly the only World-Rank Hunter," Felix said the epithet.

'Do you really have to do that?' Haru stopped laughing as he heard Felix call out his nickname.

"PFFT," Jin-woo chuckled as he looked at Haru who just rolled his eyes.

Haru stood up and walked up the stage as Felix moved back.

"Hello everyone, as you all know who I am I won't waste my time Introducing myself. Then thank you for giving me this rank I really appreciate it...." Haru spoke for about 5 minutes and ended the speech as he received a medal that was gold with earth engraved into it, from Felix under the applause of everyone present.

He walked down the stage and sat down on his seat.

"So with that, we will end the presentation and the banquet will begin, so thank you for coming here," Felix said as everyone clapped and went to the banquet hall to eat and chat.
