2 Chapter 2 "Pain can make you stronger or ruin you"

A cloud of sorrows layered on Tessa's house, she woke up earlier than ever she couldn't sleep well throughout the night , she took a shower and wore a decent dress held her hair up into a bun , then she went to wake Milly up "Princess wake up now" placing her hairs behind her ear which scattered all over her face, Milly changed a sleeping position "Mmmm Tess! two more minutes..... just two more minutes please!" Tessa smiled "But your highness we have to go to pick up mother.... if you don't want to come then it's ok I'll get going ".... she counted her fingers to three Milly got up like she was hit by a stick "Really mother! she is finally coming home? is she not sick anymore" she jumped on the bed so excited , Tessa stopped her "Yes to all your questions princess, now go to shower and wear this I'll be downstairs waiting for you" she placed a dress on the bed before going downstairs.

Milly took a shower faster she came out singing and dancing she dressed up and rushed downstairs, she found Tessa in the kitchen taking out tea cups from the cabinet she went to put on her shoes. "What" aren't you going to eat your breakfast today that is so unlike you Milly" she chuckled "My stomach says we have to go to the hospital now!" she opened the door ..... Tessa placed back the cups picked up her bag before they went out. They held hands all the way..... Tessa stopped a taxi surprising her sister "Aren't we going by a bus today Tess" she held her back montioning her into the taxi "No princess were not" she hoped in and told the driver "Spark hospital please " the driver nodded "Yes ma'am " he took them as instructed.

When they were outside the hospital Tessa held Milly's cheeks "Milly whenever you are about to see inside please i want you to act like a big girl , you are a big girl now" Milly creased her eyes curiously "Okay Tess" when they just entered they were welcomed by Sara who ran to hug Tessa with tears on her eyes "My dear Tessa I am truly sorry..... I....." she stopped as she saw Milly staring at her in super shock "Milly come with me " Sara held her hand and the trio headed to the mortuary. Little Milly was even more shocked the name on the door "Tess , Sarah I think were at the wrong place.... unless.... " she turned to look at the two crying she rushed inside the room only to find her mother's body covered from head to toes. Milly was a nine years old but very smart, she lifted up the sheets in disbelief she busted into tears to what she saw "Mother!" Sarah followed her inside , she gave her a hug "Mother is dead Sarah I've many stories to tell her from school" Sarah nodded as they cried together ... the burial came in to take the corpse Sarah held her hand heading out of the room "Let's go now princess mommy has to rest okay" she nodded "But where" ..... "At heaven... she will always look after you from up there" Sarah hugged her tearing up "But I am going to miss her " ... "Were all going to miss her " The trio hugged sobbing in unison...

The burial people took the corpse in a coffin as the trio followed them behind sobbing, the coffin was placed into a car outside the hospital. Jordan arrived at hospital he saw people carrying a coffin and others sobbing , what surprised him was that among the peaople the lady from last night was there sobbing painfully "Miss careless" he said low tone which surprised his driver and personal assistant Pharell "Who" the two said in unison he looked back at them "It's nothing " he stepped out of the car not waiting for his driver to open the door "What is wrong with boss Pharrell" .... Pharrell stepped out too , Jordan was peeking at Tesaa as he was going inside 'What is this? ....am I pitying her just now?' he shook away the thoughts as he went inside with Pharrell who had been determining his look this whole time . They found Joel eating breakfast he was excited to see them "Pharrell , Jordan " the two smiled at him Pharrell sat beside him "Are you Okay young master " Joel nodded "Yes I am perfectly fine Pharrell I can beat two people at a time"

Jordan "....."

Nanny "....."

"Joel you can't be serious! " Jordan glared at him, he chuckled "Come on just kidding ..... look at your face Jordan hahaha " they all shook their heads Joel was impossible he is ten years old but very funny ... The nanny packed his things "Sir Jordan .. the doctor said we can leave I already called a chauffeur to fetch us" he nodded "Mmmm thank you Vivian" she shook her head "No sir it my duty"

Pharrell and his boss set off to office , a fancy car stopped at a big glass building a long line of workers came to welcome him they bowed in unison "Good morning sir!" Jordan nodded as he make his way to his office which seemed to be like a five star hotel room instead, Big couches with a round table in between, a big glass table and wooden curved CEO with a majestic chair at other side there was two big glass windows with long curtains held at sides which gives an overwhelming view. His office was a definition of luxury.

The burial proceedings ended they were on their way home .Tessa looked very pale with no energy. Sarah decided to stay over for a meantime to look after the two sisters, Milly headed upstairs to the bedroom she wanted to be alone Sarah stayed at the living room along with Tessa .

She went to the kitchen picked up a bowl of water and a peace of clothe before heading back "Tessa lay down on the couch you look pale and burning like there is lava flowing in your veins instead of blood" she couldn't argue in her state .

Sarah soaked the peace of clothe in the water she squeezed it before she started to massage Tessa's head continuously until she felt asleep she covered her with blanket then climbed upstairs to check on Milly she was sitting by the corner of the room sobbing quietly Sarah opened her arms Milly ran to her embrace "Sarah I am trying my best to be a big girl but I can't stop crying when I remember mother.... I don't want Tess to me like this she'll worry " she continued to sob "Milly you don't have to hold it in Tessa is not here you can cry all you want in my hands" she cried out to her heart content , she slept into her arms Sarah laid along with her on the bed .

Jordan pulled up a table phone and dialled some numbers *ring ring* "Hello sir! " .... "Come at my office at once!" he hang up ... Pharrell knocked before he entered "Yes sir " ..... "I want you to get me a new secretary at once " he was surprised "But what happened to secretary Ann? " Jordan gave him an envelope "Oh so she resigned because she is sick" he nodded, Pharell bowed "Okay sir right away" ...

"Take me home now" Jordan walked out he took his boss's suitcase they went straight downstairs to the parking lot, before they could reach the car they heard a gunshot it almost hit Jordan but he was fast to get cover by a pillar the shooter ran off after missing his target Pharrell was pissed he went after him but he was prepared he hoped in a car and vanished , Pharrell got angry like a mad dog "Fuck!" he cursed .... when he was back he found Jordan already seated in a car with a frown he sat inside fuming with anger " Any clue about who they are?" .... Pharell shook his head "No sir!" he clenched his fists he felt annoyed not to be able to protect well his boss ... Jordan noticed him "What's with your attitude? find about them as soon as possible!..... we have to be more careful now including Joel" ... he bowed "Yes sir ! " he started the engine heading home . Pharrell wasn't his personal assistant to the eyes of people but behind the scenes he was Jordan's bodyguard, he just plays his role very well nobody noticed that until now he acted funny but he has killer attitude on his grounds a black belt in taekwondo. They reached home Jordan went straight to Joel's bedroom who was already asleep, he switched off the lights "Pharrell you can go to rest now " he nodded as he make his way out.

He lived at the courtyard a little household special for workers, the house looked like a palace from the outside, it was surrounded with hybrid willow trees as fences from outside and a brick wall fence inside .

Jordan went to wash up he stared at the mirror as water flow down on his body "It's better not be you this time Maurice! because if it is I won't spare you" he punched the wall very hard that his hand had blood , he washed it and changed into his night robe before going to sleep.

A door bell was ringing continuously by an impatient person, Tessa woke up heading to the door she yawned she was surprised to see three womens and one man at her door very angry "Good morning.... is everything alright!" she got curious and scared, they didn't answer her ... one of the womens hand her an envelope "Here read it !" she took it her eyes couldn't believe what she saw her mother owe them a big sum of money 2 millions she used it for operation, the contract said it has to be paid within one month. "Two millions!" she blurted how will she pay such big sum when she never even seen them before her head was flooded with confusion, the man clapped his hands to snap her out of the dream "Where are you lost to lady! You have one month or we'll take you to court" they left her dumbfounded she couldn't stand anymore her legs were far too weak she fell to the floor tears trailing down her cheeks.

Sarah came downstairs yawning she was surprised to see Tessa on the floor crying she ran to her "Tessa! what is wrong with you it's so chilly you'll get sick!" she closed the door and made her sit on a couch, ....she gave her the letter Sarah was surprised "Oh my god! that's a big amount of money in one month are they crazy! " she stared at Tessa ..... she hugged her "What are we gonna do now Sarah? I am confused " Sarah stroke her back "Listen Tessa let's not give up... we have to look for a way, I'll try to ask around " Tessa looked at her friend "Sarah I am so lucky to have you ..... what would i do without you" she shook her head "Listen girl were family... we need to look for a job as soon as possible" Tessa wiped her tears "But where? I can't think of anywhere" she gave her a pitiful look Sarah caressed her hand "Okay change that look I can't stand it ! I'll try to ask around to friends and I'll get back to you" Tessa nodded "Mmmm" Sarah went upstairs she washed up faster took her bag before she set off.
