22 Chapter 22: Test Begins

The day wasn't even over yet, and the news that a student of one of the famous System Academies killed himself has already spread all over the country.

-Who else is crying?

-fat fuck deserves to die, waste of space

-imagine hurting a man so bad he decided to do kill himself in front of you

Thousands of comments were already being fired off, the videos were being shared at an alarming speed. Social media sites were unable to stop the video from circulating. One would be flagged down, but another takes its place.

Student kills himself in front of bully- that was the most searched keyword for the day.

Kills.

Dr. Agnes, the academy's doctor, was unable to heal Arnold. Arnold had already lost too much blood due to the laceration on his neck. Added to that the multiple stab wounds on his stomach, Arnold was dead before Dr. Agnes even arrived on the scene.

And now, Ray, who was probably as famous as Arnold right now because of his name being dropped on the videos, was currently in the guidance office. His finger, which was broken by Lex, was wrapped and hidden on his side.

He was currently drowning in sweat as the guidance counselor, Dr. Gabriel kept on replaying the viral video in front of him.

"Now, what're we going to do about this, Mr. Castellano?"

"C'mon sir, you know me", Ray chuckled nervously, "I would never-"

"Let's stop playing games, Mr. Castellano", Dr. Gabriel closed his laptop shut, causing Ray to flinch, "I do know who you are. And I know the things you've been doing"

"B-but-"

"We have been lenient because your father holds a certain prestige… and position in this academy", Dr. Gabriel then suddenly looked at the door.

"Ah, speak of the devil and he shall arrive", Dr. Gabriel said as he stood up.

"S-sir?", Ray was confused as to why Dr. Gabriel suddenly stood up. But after a few seconds, he knew why.

Someone barged inside the office without even knocking. It was Ray's father.

"Father, I-", Ray smiled as soon as his father arrived, but the only response he got was a slap on the head, enough to throw him for a few meters, only stopping when he hit a table.

Seeing the violent display inside his office, Dr. Gabriel could not help but sigh, "You will pay for that, right?", he said as he pointed at the shattered table where Ray is currently lying on.

Ray's father sat on the chair in front of Dr. Gabriel's desk, not even looking at his son, who was currently groaning in pain.

Dr. Gabriel could only sigh as he looked at the bald man in front of him. "Robert, always nice to see you here"

"We can talk something out", Robert said. And although his words were civil, his tone was not.

"I can't help your son this time, friend", Dr. Gabriel raised his finger as he slightly leaned back, "And if you're thinking of persuading me by force, remember that the President of the Academy put me here, so you might have to put a raincheck on that one"

Robert released a huge breath as soon as the President was mentioned.

"But still, I do not want to get on the bad side of one of our country's Gold Rank Explorer", Dr. Gabriel chuckled as he raised both his hands in defeat, "Your son will not be punished. There is no evidence anyway that can prove any of the claims of the dead student. Medical records will dictate that he was… mentally unstable"

"That's good, as long as we understand each other", Robert folded his arms, his suit creased due to the bulging of his muscles.

"Anything for our country's pride", Dr. Gabriel sighed, "But as for the video and the media that is about to be in our doorsteps in a couple of minutes, you will have to deal with that yourself"

Robert only clicked his tongue as he stood up. He then grabbed his son, Ray, by the collars and dragged him out of the room, without even saying a single word.

As soon as Robert and Ray were gone. Dr. Gabriel took a cigarette from his desk.

"S-shit…", he was having a hard time lighting up his cigarette as his hands were trembling uncontrollably. The cigarette shook on his mouth as his breathing was stuttered and erratic.

"...fucking Gold Rank explorers", he whispered as he continued to struggle lighting up his cigarette.

Lex was now inside the school's training gym, beside him were 2 other students, both way younger than him and were in a lower grade.

And in front, was Janice and a tall, obviously toned woman wearing gym clothes.

"Ughh… Someone just died and we're here testing out kids", the woman wearing gym clothes dropped her shoulders in frustration, her almost gigantic breasts swaying with every bit of her movement. She also saw the gruesome scene of what happened earlier, and for the school to not even cancel classes…

"I swear this school is fucked up"

"Ms. Diana, there are children in front", Janice said in a cold voice.

"Tss. Are you always this strict?", Diana clicked her tongue several times, "Let me guess, you don't have a man to keep you up at night?"

Janice's eyes turned fierce as she stared straight at Diana's eyes. Diana quickly raised her arms in defeat before looking at the papers on her binder.

Janice, of course, took a few glances towards Lex after this exchange. If only Diana knew how wrong she was, and how near Janice's "man" actually is.

Lex could only let out a silent chuckle. So this is how Janice usually was. After what happened last night, he almost forgot that Janice was famous for giving the cold shoulder towards strangers and friends alike.

"Aha. We have quite the late bloomer here", Diana whistled as she looked at Lex's file, "And an Enhancer type? Weird…".

Diana then looked at Lex, her eyes full of curiosity.

Lex could not help but gulp as he felt the intense gaze of this big-breasted instructor all over him.

Was he… going to be found out already?
