9 Zi Li

Stepping out of her car, Zi Li sauntered up to me while looking me up and down.

"So you're Mr. Han's love interest?" she said aloofly.

"H-huh? O-oh yeah, I am," I said, suddenly remembering the scene at the cafe this morning.

"You don't look any special to me… Why would Mr. Han be attracted to such an ordinary person?" Zi Li asks but it seemed more like she was just thinking to herself.

"U-umm, I don't know… Maybe--"

Zi Li suddenly cut me off mid-sentence.

"I knew it! You probably seduced him or blackmailed him into loving you, right? I knew you used some evil tactics on Mr. Han!" Zi Li shrieked as she pointed her finger at me.

I was too shocked to respond. Evil tactics??? Blackmail??? Seducing??? Where does this woman even come up with these ideas? She is definitely crazy. Just as I was about to respond, someone else did it for me.

"Zi Li! What are you doing to him?" Said a stern voice.

Turning my head, I found Mr. Han standing by his car, an unhappy expression on his face. I felt my heart rate speed up. Then, like a light switch, Zi Li shifted her attention to him. She quickly checks her hair and smooths her dress down.

"Oh Mr. Han! I didn't see you there. You should've let me know that you were coming here~!" Zi Li said innocently.

Mr. Han walked over and grabbed my hand.

"Stop bullying Yuri or else you'll face consequences," Mr. Han said as he led me to his car.

I sneaked a look behind me and found Zi Li boiling with anger. I have a feeling this wasn't going to be the end of it.

Sitting in Mr. Han's car, I watched as we drove away, Zi Li quickly disappearing behind us.

"I apologize you had to go through all that," Mr. Han suddenly spoke up.

"Oh it's okay. I know some girls can be like that," I said as I reassured him.

"I'm afraid I'll have to ask you to act for a little longer," said Mr. Han.

"Right…" I said as I looked out the window.

I couldn't believe my ears! I don't know why I agreed to go along with this in the beginning to be honest. This whole thing really wasn't my problem but somehow I stuck myself right in the middle of it. Now I have to act like I'm in love with Mr. Han. I don't even know if I should consider myself lucky at this point. I just hope all of this doesn't get out of hand. As I thought all of these things to myself, one question remains at the back of my head. Why did Mr. Han chose me as his "lover?" We don't really know each other and not to mention, he's rich so he could've gotten anyone else to act with him.

Mr. Han didn't speak anymore for the rest of the car ride. When the car stopped and I stepped out, I remembered I never told Mr. Han where I live.

"Excuse me but we're at…?" I started saying as I looked at him.

"My place," Mr. Han finished as he started walking towards his mansion-like house.

"What?!" I practically screamed.

"Don't just stand there, come on," Mr. Han said, motioning with his head.
