"There?" She asked pointing at the cafe.

"Yes, there." He pointed at the seat where she was sitting on the money.

"Oh, you mean that liquid and solid piece of something." She asked pointing at the counters where a sample of many cakes and other dishes were decorated.

"Huh, liquid and solid. Yes, yes that liquid and solid." 'Anything you say now, I just didn't have enough strength to explain to you now'. He closed his eyes to take a deep breath again. Man, I am hungry and tired now.

"I gave them this." She said, showing him a silver coin. In her hand was a black box with many gold and silver pieces. Like they were just extracted from the earth. It also had many gems. Wait a minute, this black box! He looked back at the bench of the garden and realized what he had thought was right. The box from there was in her hands now.

But the question was how? The park was a distance away which needed you to cross this road and then walk at a distance to reach its entrance. Then walk there to the bench to pick the box and then come back here. It would take at least ten minutes even if you run.

But he had closed his eyes just for a few seconds and he didn't hear a sound of her moving then how. He looked at the box and then her with furrowed brows.

"I gave the old man one of these stones and he gave me the food and asked where I live. Then he told me about the room where I can stay. He said I should live there." Oh, that makes sense. So this is how she knew about the room and the advertisement.

"Can you read this?" Be said pointing at the poster.

She shook her head, and then stared at him again. Then she gave him the box, "take as many as you want, I want the room and the things you called food." She said shoving the box in his hands.

He looked at the box and then at the girl. Is she serious? Just for a room sharing, she was giving him gold, silver, gems worth millions.

Just a few of it and he would be able to pay all the bills and fees and even afford a few clothes and gifts for Anna. His eyes roamed at the thought. But the next moment he realised he was trying to trick the girl. She was not mentally stable and lost. He shouldn't take her benefit.

He shook his head to clear his mind and looked at the watch again; only 15 mins were left in his break. "Come with me," he said and held her hand and went back to the cafe. He took out his employee card which he used in case of emergencies.

This card gave him a 50% discount on the menu. But things were expensive here and even after a 50% discount, he found it a waste of money. And these were snack items not a proper meal to fill his stomach.

And since he always had two hours he could easily go and have a hearty and cheap meal and come back on time. Often he had some time left to study some material of his course. But today he wasted all of his time and his grumbling stomach wouldn't let him work.

So he took two pancakes and gave one to the girl to eat and ate the other in silence. Like always the girl blinked and looked at him and then at the plate. But when he started eating, she copied it and started eating it.

She gave a big smile after tasting it, he had given her chocolate strawberry pancakes. This was one of his specialties. But he had never seen someone this happy by eating it, not even Anna. It was the first time he had seen any expression on the girls face.

Her smile was truly bewitching. He was stunned to see it that he didn't even react on time

"Alex, eat fast, the break is almost finished." His colleague reminded him when entering the kitchen. He saw time and true to his words there were only five minutes left in his break. He looked at her and saw that she had already wiped the plate. she had even licked the chocolate spread on the plate and now she was licking her fingers to get the last drop of chocolate.

Normally, he would have found this action of customers very gross. But looking at her licking like this, he found her cute. He gulped at his thoughts. His Adam apple bobbing.

He gave his plate to her also and she took it with a smile again. "Looks like only tasty food can bring any reaction on your blank face," he said with a kind smile.

"Now wait here for me, we will talk after work okay." He said and when she nodded he stood up ready to go back in the kitchen.

Back to back cakes, brownies, pastries, pizza, pancakes. All these things kept him busy like always but today he wanted to end his shift soon due to continuous crumbling of his stomach.

Noah brought a pack of chips from his bag and gave it to him "that is all I have man, eat it to stop your sound system" he said elbowing his stomach.

He gave him a grateful smile at his small gesture. He was lucky to have good colleagues and no argument here like in the waiters because of tips.

Finally when his shift ended, it was already 12. He thought maybe the girl would be gone but when he came out she was sitting right there where he left him it was looking like she didn't even move an inch. Like a statue even maintaining the same posture. For the past 7 hours. 'What is she?'
