11 The bloody shower.

The ringing of the phone stirred Alex to sleep. He twisted and turned on the sofa and kept the pillow over his ears to stop the buzzing sound. But it continued. With an "argghh" he moved his hand on the table and without opening his eyes just put the phone on his ear and in a drowsy voice replied "hello"

"Brother you are also late today" replied Anna with a giggle. "Come on you have to go for work" she urged.

"Hmmm, just five minute Anna., what is the time?" He asked turning the other side.

"It's 8 again. Don't you have to go?" She took a pause. "Brother why don't you leave a shift and only work in one."

He instantly sits up and smiled, "because your lazy brother will only sleep then and turn into a pig," he said in a very serious tone as if he was sharing the biggest secret with her.

"Brother!! "

"Okay, okay we will talk about it later but tell me how are you calling me daily these days. Huh? Don't you have class?" He said finally standing up and stretching himself.

" I called you to tell you a good news." She replied on a very cheerful voice.

"And what is that my chocopie." He moved to the kitchen and took a glass of water and drank it.

"You remember I have told you there is a test on 24th so we are not allowed to go home this weekend. It cancelled and the school is closing tomorrow on Friday for the weekend and then Christmas. My winter holidays will start tomorrow. Yay.." She squealed and jumped.

But he wasn't that happy listening to the news, he has to do one shift now so that he could spend some time with her. He was thinking of doing it after Christmas but he is happy she is coming.

"Oh, that's very good news. Then I will come tomorrow to pick you up". He said entering the bathroom but what he saw gave him the shock of his life. He stammered,

"Anna I am getting late I will talk to you later ok. And yes I have deposited the fees so don't worry about it ok." He said cutting the call without her reply and running from there for his dear life.

He ran from the not only bathroom he even came out of the room in a lighting speed and shit the door with a slam behind him. He leaned on it and closed his eyes. His hammering heart was still beating like a drum.

" Oh, Jesus forgive me for my sins. Oh, Christ." He took many deep breathes to calm his heart and shook his head to clear the picture he has just seen.

It took all the courage in him to go back in the room and take out a pair of jeans t-shirt to wear. He brushed and took bath at Mike house and asked him to join them for breakfast.

He was too embarrassed to sit and eat with her alone now. What if she takes him as a pervert. No, it was her mistake to keep the door open.

He looked at the thought as if he was trying to make himself believe. but her naked body and innocent eyes blinking at him were too hard for him to forget.

On the other side, Bella who has just cleaned all the blood from her body and was taking the shower looked at the running Alex and then down where there were few traces of blood mixing with water and flowing down the drain.

She was afraid he had seen the blood. But couldn't say anything. After making sure the blood was clean she wore the dress she had worn last night and came out. Alex who has already changed the clothes and warmed the food was waiting for her on the table.

"I am going to a cafe for work, would you stay here alone or shall I call Mike, he is free so he can accompany you." He asked eating the noodles.

"Yes, I can but only if you teach me how the hell did you toss me last night. It pained all night you know" shouted Mike entering the gate and sitting on the table. And then pulling his shirt out to show faint red marks of fingers.

"Aren't you afraid she would break your bones while teaching you?" Said Alex with a raised brow.

"I am but these techniques can help me in improving another profession. Gym instructor is not a full-time job. You know mothers check-up is due after Christmas." He said taking his bowl.

This made Alex pause in his actions, he was so full of his worries that he just forgot about him. "I am sorry Mike, I will sure we will arrange it okay." He said handing food and soup to him, "I have left some in a container for Aunt too. Take it when you go."

"Now I am getting late, see you guys later." He said taking his skateboard.

While they were talking Bella did her complete focus on eating. She wiped her plate clean and even ate what Alex has left in his plate. And only then did she looked at Mike who was looking at him with surprise.

"I always thought women eat a little, and that also very decently. You are the first who eats just like me" he replied with an amused expression.

But she just started and blinked saying nothing which made him feel embarrassing. He doesn't like people monitor him while eating. He coughed to distract her but she doesn't budge.

So he decided to start a conversation to distract her, "so would you teach me how to combat?" He asked but the girl just stared and blinked.
