When they were having a friendly bantering, Bella was just gazing them standing like a statue like always. But no matter how my times she does that, they still feel creepy about it. Alex coughed while Mike scratched his neck.

"Bella why don't you help in holding things. Here take this bowl and plates. And we will take other things." Mike said pointing at the bowl and plates. He told the other two containers and salad. While Alex went to the room to freshen up.

He washed his face and followed them closing the door. When he entered his house, Mike put the containers on the table and went to bring his mother. But Bella just stood there like a statue.

"Give me the bowl and sit there Bella. Once Aunt will join. We will have lunch." He said extending his hand to take the bowl. But his hand felt burned and he instantly put the bowl down.

"Damn, it's so hot. How were you holding ot with such ease all the time? Show me your hand I will apply some tube "

but when he took her hands there was no red marks or any blister. He turned her hands and looked carefully but her skin was white and smooth like before.

He was sure, he had the maximum experience here of handling hot plates and bowls, still, his skin turned red, but she was holding it for such a long time, the girl is very strange.

"If it was hot, why didn't you put it down," he asked annoyed.

The girl lolled at the angry Alex with a blank gaze and them at the bowl and blinked ", the bowl was not hot."

She replied in her mechanical voice. And sat down copying his actions.

He furrowed his brows and was about to ask more question when Mike brought Aunt Sharron out.

Although the lad was in her early forties but her skin was wrinkled like in her sixties and her head was bald. Her eye was a slump and she felt tired moving. Being bedridden has taken a toll on her body.

Looking at her, he forgot about the reason for not having skin burnt and move forward to hug the lady. The lady returned it with a smile then she eyed Bella and raised her brow.

"Mike didn't you bring a different girl today, what her name was. Oh, yes, Lily. You already changed girlfriend within 24 hours. " she sat beside Bella and looked at her beautiful face and innocent eyes.

"But I must say she is more beautiful. What is your name dear?" Did she ask patting her head?

"Bella" the girl answered back after blinking her eyes.

"Oh, it's a pretty name dear, but you know Mike is a flirt, such a philanderer doesn't deserve a beautiful girl like you. Why don't you consider my other son Alex" she said pointing at Alex

They both shouted at the same time. Both of their faces were red due to embarrassment.

"What, such a pretty girl will look good only with him. It's high time one of you get married. So that I can see grandchildren before dying. And I don't have any hope from you. You being a different girl every time to meet me. I want a daughter in law not a hockey them at a herd" she said. Eying her son Who was getting redder with every passing word.

But before anyone could say further she coughed badly and they both stopped arguing Mike ribbed her back while Alex ran to bring a glass of water.

She smiled looking at his both son caring so much about her. To change the topic from her health. Age eyed the food and smiled.

"Looks like Alex has made a feast for this old lady. I was actually missing your cooking son." She said taking a sniff of the dishes.

"Uh, Aunt Sharron, I would love to cook for you but this food is made by Bella. She had already cooked before I came back" he said in an awkward voice.

But the lady beamed at his words. "Oh dear, you even know cooking. Alex trust me, she is perfect for you."

"Aunt she is not Mikes girlfriend" the lady beamed hearing the words and was about to praise him for finding such a good girl as his girlfriend but he read her face and spoke first.

"She is also not my girlfriend." He said hastily before she could assume further. This made the lady from. A girl is joining them for a meal and even cooled the lunch herself. Yet she is not the girlfriend of any of them.

"Then are you trying to adopt her at this age?" She mocked and humphed.

"She is the tenant of Alex, he has given his room on rent." Said Mike looking at the awkward face of his friend.

"And now, you should eat. Don't stress too much." He added putting food in her plate.

"But shouldn't you rent it to a boy?" She asked confused.

"I wanted to by. No one. Applied and the cafe is closed now. So, no one will see the advertisement. I. Don't have money to publish in the local newspaper or hiring broker." He said sheepishly. He knew it sounded ambiguous for them to live together.

"Good, alex you have taken a. Very good decision it will support you and you won't need to do double shifts." She replied with kind smile.

'Oh so that's made her happy. She still cares so much about me' he smiled and nodded his head.

'And I won't need to find my daughter in law at this age' she added im her heart with a mischievous smile.
