Fire Mage Association

City 13, The Fire Academy, The Mage's Section, The HeadMaster's Office. A middle aged woman was holding a bunch of papers that had reports about the incident that had occurred in the Last Group's ClassRoom.

"So you are telling me, no one from the class remembers about the huge explosion that occurred over their classroom and almost blasted them to death." The Head Master was sitting on his Chair as he frowned at the report.

"Yes sir! It seems like the student's memories about the explosion were erased from their brains." The middle aged lady was firm in her answers. There was no tension even when she looked at the HeadMaster of the Fire Academy, who could decide her fate with a single sentence.

"What about the Instructor? He is a level nine Fire Mage after all, he should be able to remember something right." The HeadMaster still hoped to gain information about this incident.

But the middle aged woman shook her head. "The instructor's memories were also wiped out. Seems like their opponent was a 'Higher Level Demon'." The middle aged lady took a guess at the cause of the explosion.

"A higher Level Demon?" The HeadMaster leaned on his table and placed his head over his folded hands. He was in a deep thought.

He only snapped back when the middle aged lady called him twice.

"What do you think we should do, In case it is a higher level Demon?" The HeadMaster regained his mighty presence as he asked the middle aged lady.

" if this explosion was really caused by a higher level Demon, my guess is that this 'Higher Level Demon' is still inside the Academy, disguised as one of our students, most probably as one of the students of the last Group." The middle aged lady did not drag their conversation and went to the main point.

"I think, we should call higher level mages from the Fire Mage Association and surround each and every student from the Last Group."

"Even though it might be inconvenient to the students, a higher level Demon is too important when compared to the student's comfort." The middle aged lady gave the HeadMaster a rational advice.

The HeadMaster frowned. A Higher Level Demon was not something the Fire Academy can handle. He himself was a level twenty one Fire Mage, but it was far from enough to handle a Higher Level Demon.

According to their past data, they had graded the Demons based on the Level of the human mages that were required to take on the Demon.

A level one Demon was equal to a Human Mage of Level eleven to level twenty.

A level two Demon was equal to a Human Mage of Level twenty one to Level thirty.

And so on.

The Demon Invasions which occur once every hundred years, are mainly composed of Level one Demons, while level two and level three demons appear rarely.

A Higher Level Demon was someone who was classified above that of a Level Five Demon. This means that, at least a level Sixty One Human Mage was required to take care of this Demon.

And that was just for the weakest Demon of Higher Levels.

The Fat Red Demon which slaughtered humanity's mages like chickens in the Sixty Seventh Demon Invasion, was classified as a Level Nine Demon.

It was a 'Higher level Demon' that could slaughter any Human Mage with a single slash from it's huge saber.

So the threat, a Higher Level Demon posses towards humanity was not something that could be measured easily.

The HeadMaster himself was just a Level Twenty One Fire Mage and it was impossible for him to take on a Higher Level Demon on his own.

The Fire Mage Association that the middle aged lady mentioned was a higher level Academy for the Fire Mages.

The main difference between the Fire Mage Association and the Fire Academy in the Fire Country was that, the Fire Mage Association directly deals with the Demon Invasions, while the Fire Academy just trains the Fire Mages in their youth so that one day, they could go to the Fire Mage Association.

Level One Demons were the weakest Demons that attack the humanity in Demon Invasions. And they were comparable to Level Eleven to Level Twenty Human Mages. This meant that the human mages below Level Eleven were just scrap in the Demon Invasions.

This was also the main reason that most of the instructors in the Fire Academy were just Level Ten. They were useless against the Demons, so they could not enter the Fire Mage Association which directly deals with the Demon Invasions and had to stay back in the Fire Academy.

Now, the middle aged lady was guessing that this explosion was caused by a higher level Demon. The HeadMaster would have to ask the Fire Mage Association to send in some higher level Fire Mages, of levels above sixty, to deal with this problem.

"How sure are you that this explosion was caused by the Higher Level Demons?" The HeadMaster could not help but ask the middle aged lady once more. After all, the higher level Fire mages from the Fire Mage Association could not be mobilized easily.

"Causing such a big explosion in the Academy's Grounds, yet being able to cover it up so that none of us know a thing about what happened, I think, except for the Higher Level Demons, no one else has the power, or the need to do it." The middle aged lady firmly believed that this incident was related to higher level Demons.

Seeing her restating that this was done by the Higher Level Demons with such confidence, the HeadMaster nodded his head. He would report this situation to the higher ups in the Fire Mage Association and see what they do.

"So, were there any students that were suspicious? Are there any students we need to keep an eye on?" The HeadMaster asked about the students.

The middle aged woman nodded her head and placed two documents in front of the HeadMaster, who picked them up and squinted his eyes.

These two documents contained information about the two students the middle aged lady found suspicious.

"Isn't this the Zero Graded Son of the 'Ice Empress'. She paid a hefty sum of Fire Crystals to let the Academy bend the rules for her Son's admission in the Academy. Why is he a suspect?" The HeadMaster pushed the document that contained information about Sky, as he questioned the middle aged lady.

"Sir, you must have known that this huge explosion had caused some amount of damage to every student in the Last Group right. I had personally visited the students to see how much damage they had sustained."

"Every student had a small cut or two with few broken ribs, but Sky did not have a single scratch on him. This is the reason that I suspect him."

Hearing the middle aged lady's explanation put a frown of the HeadMaster's face. "But He is the Son of the 'Ice Empress'. How can he be suspicious? Did you forget the Last Demon Invasion? The Ice Empress has solely killed half the Demons and saved a lot of Human Mages's lives. How could you suspect her?" He did not want to belive that Sky was Suspicious.

"Sir, I am not suspecting the Ice Empress, I am suspecting Sky, her son. Who knows what the Higher Level Demons are capable of? If they had kidnapped the Original 'Sky' and sent in a duplicate who was this Higher Level Demon, are we able to distinguish it?"

The middle aged lady did not step back even when faced with the HeadMaster. Her words were always rational repeatedly advising the HeadMaster.

The Head Master finally sighed. It was true that he did not know what the Higher Level Demons were capable of, so he just accepted her reason and put Sky under suspicion.

"What about her? She is one of the three Grade Five talents of the Fire Country. Why is she under suspicion." The headmaster looked at the other document as he spoke.

"She was assigned to the First Group, but she was present in the Last Group when the Explosion had occurred. HeadMaster knows that the classroom of the First Group and the Last Group are ten thousand kilometer away right."

"She also did not sustain any injuries from the explosion just like Sky. This is the reason that I put her under suspicion."

The HeadMaster of the Fire Academy sighed. His sigh was deep and helpless. The two suspects he had were not normal people.

One was the Son of the Ice Empress and the Brother of the most talented human.

While the other was one of the three Grade five talents.

Losing any one of these two would be a huge loss to the Fire Country. So the HeadMaster could not help but sigh.

"You may leave. Put those two under surveillance, but don't make it too obvious." The HeadMaster leaned back on his chair and closed his eyes.

As the Middle aged lady exited the room, he took out a communication talisman and tore it into half.

Suddenly, Fire appeared around the torn talisman and a hoarse voice sounded out of it. "What is the matter, Little Disciple?"

The HeadMaster was about sixty years old, but he was still a little boy to the one who spoke from the other side of the talisman.

"Disciple Greets Master." The HeadMaster greeted his master.

He then proceeded to explain the situation to his master, who was a level Seventy Three Fire Mage.
