After calming herself down, she then asked in a loud enough voice, "What about my nanny, Sister Fong?"

"Let's talk about that when we get home," Du Wen Hai said trying to brush off her question.

"I want my nanny. Mummy and daddy and are no longer here and Sister Fong had taken care of me since young, I want her!" she said resolutely.

"Your aunt and me will be taking care of you, don't worry plus in uncle's house, uncle have a lot of people working under me, Ah Ran don't have to worry, alright?" he said.

"Aunty is currently pregnant and uncle you will be busy working, I want my nanny..... Sob sob sob" she said refusing to backdown.

The reporters were taking notes were praising this little girl for her farsight and thoughtfulness. Du Wen Hai was gritting his teeth, he can't believe that this girl is demanding this in front of the reporters. In order to appear benevolent, he was forced to agree. I will just agree first and go back on my words later, he thought. He finally agreed with a smile on his face.

Ru Ran knew what he was thinking, hence her next sentence, shocked him. "Uncle, can I borrow your phone?"

She took his phone and dialed a number and then she waited patiently for the other party to pick up the phone. Once the line got through, she said, "Wu Wu Wu, sister Fong, mummy and daddy are no longer here. I need you... Sister Fong, come and get me from the hospital. Wu Wu Wu. Its Hospital W front entrance."

Sister Fong or Fong Siew Lay, a 30 year old lady, was not surprised to receive the call from Ru Ran. She had learnt about the death of the Du couple and is saddened by the news. The next thing she knew, she received a call from this exact number saying her service is no longer needed. She had a feeling the accident was not truly and accident, she received a text a day prior of the accident from Madam Du asking her to meet up with a lawyer, Mr Gan in any event of their demise and do whatever it takes to continue to take care of young miss Du.

She had planned to visit Ru Ran today but did not expect that Ru Ran would be discharge today. She had already met up with lawyer, according to Mr Gan, in the will by Master Du and Madam Du, in any event anything happened to them, she will be tasked to care for Ru Ran. Since Ru Ran had called and things had been more or less settled with Mr Gan, Fong Siew Lay decided to go and get Ru Ran. She also dragged Mr Gan along. In actual fact, she really did not have to drag him as he was planning to meet up with Du Wen Hai as well. He had just managed to get all the documents in order today.

Du Wen Hai was really vexed by the turn of events. He decided to use the time waiting for the nanny to show up to make a statement regarding the lost of his step brother and how it was such a devastating news to him and his family especially to his precious niece. He also went on to explain how fortunate that his one and only niece had managed to survive the ordeal. He will take in this niece of his and treat her like his own child and would shower her with the love she deserved no less than what is expected. The reporters were moved by his speech.

Internally Ru Ran rolled her eyes, I, Du Ru Ran will remember these words of yours and will bring up these words every day till you puke blood if you decide to treat me otherwise. She then gave her most brilliant smile and thanked her uncle for his generosity. Mummy and daddy had taught me well, don't even think you can bully me easily.
