28 Battlestar Dream

It had been weird, almost like a dream had many years prior, just slightly remembering hints of what was dreamed when you see something that gives you deja-vu.

I almost always have these feelings, like I should know something bad is going to happen, that I shouldn't be here, whether that was on Caprica or simply the colonies in general I couldn't honestly be sure as both almost seemed wrong to me.

Whenever I hear people talking about the Cylons, I don't exactly feel fear, more sadness than anything, though I can't understand why I would feel such things.

The feelings were honestly so strong about leaving that I had, over the years, used all my families resources that I had inherited to have a long term Botanical Cruiser built, the greenhouses filled with fragrant plants, fruit trees and vegetables that are sustainable and in some of the enclosures there were Rabbits, Chickens, Turkeys, Goats, Honeybees and Mealworms to help feed the birds and act as garbage disposals.

Some of my last purchases for the ship were some spare parts for the dual jump drives I had installed as I was intending to go on a long vacation to get away from things after I graduated college in a few days but it all seemed mute at this point as I began to remember everything, both about the 'visions' that I told to the Cylons and my past life on another world.

The moment that I saw a beautiful woman come out of the woods near my university is the moment all my memories come rolling back into my poor brain, as I look more closely I can see others that look very similar to her as well as other women who seem to have a lot of sisters that look the same to one another, with my new memories things were becoming pretty obvious as to who and what I was seeing. I didn't really know what to think or feel at the moment and I wasn't going to be able to sort through those feelings anytime soon it seemed.

It was the moment I saw the first model Six walking near me, wearing what looks like a velvety green, curve hugging dress with green heels while sporting beyond shoulder length platinum blonde hair and then her punk biker looking twin, seeing them is what triggered everything moments earlier.

"Hello Alex, it's time for you to go, we have been watching for many years, waiting to meet the one who gave prophecy to the Centurian, he couldn't act to stop what is coming and neither could we as we are few in number but we are still working from within, to help who we can subtly… now it's time, I believe you know what I am and we will take you to your shuttle so that you will be able to escape in your Botanical vessel before the nukes fall." She was almost looking at me pleadingly, almost begging me to believe her. I almost knew I could trust her, she had too much knowledge about me and I was a nobody other than what I told that lone centurion in the years past.

"Thank you…. Will you all be joining me in space? My cruiser is rather large and only has a small group to care for the plants and creatures within, I had dismissed the crew weeks ago as i was planning to stay in orbit for a few more months and as i was planning to pilot the cruiser myself when I boarded, I hadn't found time or the need to find more crew as I didn't realize I was on the clock…" I wasn't sure if they intended to just die on planet and be reborn or to stick with me but I figured it couldn't hurt to throw out the offer to those that were surrounding me.

And there were quite a few that I saw in both close proximity and shadowing us from a distance. I could only make out four models though, several Sixs and eights at least 1 three and I'm pretty sure I saw a two skulking around in the crowd.

After a few minutes of thinking as we walked to the transport that would take us to the shuttle pad I got my answer. "Some of us, if you will have us, will go with you, both to help you with the ship and to help you survive if you encounter Cylon ships. Our codes should keep them from firing on the ship." I honestly didn't realize how much I was dreading running and getting shot down by Cylons raiders until she said that and a weight was almost lifted at that moment even if I knew things would still be horribly dangerous.

I also knew I had to tell them more before we split up and some of them died so that they could tell others.

"I have had many visions since I talked to that Centurion when I was a child, only a few of them are pleasant though. Such as Cylons need humans to reproduce for instance, meaning human Cylons are in fact capable of reproducing.

I don't remember exactly what I told him all those years ago as my memories were either blocked or faded with time but I do remember that Cavil did his best to mess with all of your minds, killed off the 7th human model, enslaved the Centurions and cast out your parents from the 13th tribe out of jealousy, effectively taking control of the Cylon race. Though I don't know what has transpired since I had those visions or what has changed due to one Centurions actions. I also remember what the Cylons from the 13th tribe look like if that helps in the future.

It didn't take us long to get to our destination, thankfully the nukes hadn't dropped yet though the Cylons looked nervous as if we could be vaporized at any moment so I can admit I was actually hurrying my pace a bit as well.

"We can have children?" One of the Six's beside me whispered almost reverently while I could see the closest eight almost looked hungrily at me for some reason.

"Yes…? It's one of the reason we need to save as many people as possible on both sides. The vision I saw, near the end of things, only a few tens of thousands human survivors and only a handful of rebel human Cylons, though I believe more centurions survived and went their own ways in the end. In the end most human Cylons died with the loss of resurrection or were outright murdered by Cavil, if I was you I would make either liberating that a goal or having enough of you to be a viable population."

In the end I did my best to describe some things and situations and consequences of Cavils actions. They now had a goal to achieve and a direction to move towards. They needed to liberate several Basestars if they hadn't already as well as the Hub from Cavil and Resurrection ships as well if possible as they had a great deal of clone bodies onboard.

In the end, of our group of almost twenty five, 16 decided to stay while the others would suicide and resurrect elsewhere to enact plans. Those that were going with me were 8 Six's, 6 Eights, 1 Three and 1 Two. That would basically fully staff the ship and help with the crops and animals.

It took a hot minute to get the shuttle prepped and the process was mostly done silently as those who were not coming had already left to probably off themselves. We all had a great deal on our minds right now, me wondering how long I will survive this and the others probably contemplating the meaning of life or something.

"So what do you think we should initially do? Try to meet with the escaping fleet or just start jumping once we reach the cruiser?" After a contemplative look the beauty in the green dress who eventually introduced herself as Alicia, basically just told me it was up to me but none of us would be able to predict what would happen to us or the ship at that point. The biggest issue would be fuel… we could last for quite a few years just sitting here and growing crops and taking care of the animals but with jumping around every few hours we would be lucky to last a year without refuel with what we have currently on board.

————————————————-

I had to admit it, seeing my cruiser was a beautiful sight! I mean the 24 or so massive domed protrusions were ugly as sinn but what they contained were beautiful! I could see the small forests and lakes from the cockpit of my shuttle as we closed on my cruiser.

At almost 1200 meters long it was probably the largest ship of its class with the biggest domes… it was basically a mobile farm and while it could probably hold a thousand people uncomfortably, it was primarily designed as an Agro ship with 24 large domes that are each 200 meters long with 12 on top and 12 on the bottom, to produce food while also being beautiful with a few amenities unlike Cloud 9 which may as well have been a giant amenity. My cruiser simply didn't have very many cabins for more than the crew. While there were a few dozen extras for those who wanted to take luxury cruises those berths were stupidly expensive to chart to make it worthwhile to actually move the ship.

To help with the costs the ship sold surplus food to Picon or Caprica, it makes me happy I won't have to finish paying off this monstrosity as it probably would have bankrupted me in another year or so unless I made a massive amount of room for passengers.

The real issue was that it should technically be staffed with around 60 or so people, to both take care of the farms as well as the ship, to take care of every shift but instead we only have 21 people which is only enough for one shift.

It only took a few moments to get one of the girls, Mikaela, on the line as one of them was always on the bridge as they were all trained in the basics and learned quite a bit from the previous bridge crew. They didn't have any experience piloting or anything but they could at least answer communications and the more simple things. Can't expect much more than that as they are still only 16/17 even if they have been on board for almost two years now.

I guess those four girls are a story all to themselves because when I look back on my memories of them, they remind me of characters or people from my past life and it was honestly both amusing and weird especially hearing the obviously sarcastic voice of Mikaela Banes also more commonly known as Megan Fox in my past life… she looked like a young dead ringer from what I remember in both my memories of current and past life's… at least I will be surrounded by eye candy I guess!
