17 A well-built police officer

"Good Meat Shop"

This is the place I work part-time. It's a two-in-one shop. In the back it's a big store where meat proceeds and in front, it is sold. Although I have to work in the back, I sometimes come to the front shop with Mr. Heriss. The sign saying the word 'Good Meat' just like some RPG games titling Legendary although in this case, the word good meat is highly undoubtful as the shop certainly sells meats of excellent quality.

Whatever, let's move to get into the store. I don't want to get late after coming so early.

*******

"Ahah!" A load painful scream was heard. It was probably coming from the torture cell in the police station.

"Tell us, who do you work for? Hey! Answer me!" A well-built police officer was asking those questions. Without getting his answer he told the officer standing next to him, "Kick his ass again."

Why do I have to do that again? I moved the steel pipe that I was holding in my right hand and strike that psychopath as rapidly as possible.

It seems like today Mr. Lukas is in a bad mood although he is always in such an attitude. I couldn't bear that sight of so I closed my eyes while beating the crap out of him. The fearful eyes of him made my heart ache and questioned my humanity. Though he was a psychopath, somehow, I could feel his emotions.

"Wait! Wait!" He shouted with fear. But I ignored his shout and continued striking. It looked like he was severely beaten in the same way for a few days. His face was the proof of that. Scars were on his face and body. He was only wearing his underwear. The clothing was taken by the officers because maybe it will help them to beat him perfectly.

In other words, Mr. Lukas was trying to get some information from him. It's been a week but nothing was coming from him. Do all psychopaths are like that? Try hard not to betray their boss?

"Stop, I'll tell everything. Just stop it." The senior officer gave a gesture to me who was striking him nonstop.

"First start with your name," said Mr. Lukas, sliding a bit forward from his chair.

"My name is Renar. Though it was a given name. I don't know my real name."

"Now who do you work for?" Mr. Lukas asked, making a sick face.

"Ummm.....I don't know. I was only given orders by someone."

"You want me to believe that." The officer stood up with anger.

"Even if you don't believe me, this is the truth. The truth I'm telling you. Someone called me and said to retrieve a diary for him. He also said that the reward will be big, five thousand dollars' worth. I became greedy and did that thing. Ohh-h man poor fate, why did choose this work? I shouldn't choose this job." He was wiping as he was saying that. He was facing downwards while feeling sad. But the officer didn't show a little empathy towards him. Well, that's how Mr. Lukas is, he would not show any unwanted emotions. If possible, he would kill him right away but he also has a wall behind him. The higher-ups have direct order to not kill him but to get info out of him.

"I did it for the money! I did it for the money! I did it for the money!" He gradually upper his face while mumbling. His eyes were pure red like red wine I drank last night. He was making a devilish grin. Hell man, That's scary. I backed off a few stepped.

Not too long Mr. Lukas pulled out a gun from his pants pocket and fired straight into his left chest. 'Bang' 'Bang' 'Bang' exactly three bullets were shot. Renar became quiet as he fell on the floor.

Mr. Lukas's hand was constantly throbbing but he quickly hid it in his pocket as if he didn't want me to see that. " Move him back to his cell. He'll gain consciousness in a few minutes"

"What!?" I freaked out as if I thought he died.

"Reyes, you have to study more. The psychopaths of level two have high regeneration power. Not only that but also, they possess a drastic amount of psychic power. I handed over him to the guard standing next. Then he took Renar out of the torture cell and on his way to place him in his respective cell.

I with Mr. Lukas got out of the torture cell.

"Ask what you want to know?"

So, he knew I was going to ask?

"I was wondering how he was able to show such emotions? That looks kinda like human emotion."

"Psychopaths are clever than they look. They create emotions that even humans can't possess. Of cause, those reactions are fake. You can guess it by observing them. If looked closely, you could see his well-hidden fist. While he was showing his sad emotion, his hands didn't show any sign of empathy."

Now that Mr. Lukas said I could see that happen. Eah-h why their so hard to understand. I just couldn't get to know them best.

"Don't mind but why did you make me beat him? You could give the order to the guard."

"That might be true but I think you need to learn not to get devour yourself into the fake empathy created by the psychopath's sole purpose of manipulating."

Mr. Lukas thinks about me a lot. He always tries to take me in every case he got. As an intern, I have a lot more to learn from him. All intern has to stick with a senior who would give them lesions about the real-life police work. Though MR. Lukas has the worst personality possible, I vastly admire him. Not only for that he tries to teach me but also for the reason that he is a generous person.
