53 EVICTION LETTER

Going home getting two of the staff members, and getting the master key, going into each room having the staff busy packing all their belongings in boxes, labeling each box then sent it to the storage.

When completed the task Shawney gives strict orders that none of them stay in the guest house unless paying. Shawney then takes a taxi out of the village then out of town.

As each family drops out of the taxi with their family, Aunty Joan asks, "Why is the gate lock? That manager Mr. Thomas hired, is doing a lousy job."

Walking into the office seeing a new desk attendance sitting sanding her nails, she was pretty, not expecting her to pay any attention to her, but she turns and asks, "How can I help you, Ma'am?"

"Young lady, can you tell me which fool locks the gate, and will you just open it now?"

Watching her behavior and becoming angry but then said, "Ma'am, I am very sorry but we were instructed by the boss to keep the gate lock, and what is your name, Ma'am?"

"Would you just open the gate for me? I am tired and hungry and for your information, I own the business, unless you want to get fired, I have to speak to that lawyer?"

"Let me just get the manager ma'am," when she stood up and went through the door to the room she used to occupy calling, "Jake, will you come out here for a minute please?"

When he came out, seeing her standing at the counter he said, "Just give me a minute please," as he steps inside the office for a few minutes then returns with a few envelopes in his hand, "Okay Mrs. Wayman is your husband here?"

"Yes, he is but can you tell me what the hell is going on? I need the gate to open, and by whose instruction you lock it?"

"Ma'am, if you get your husband, he will explain everything to you."

"Now you just listen to me and open the gate before I get you fired."

"I am sorry Ma'am you don't have the authority to fire me, but since you are so determining and very demanding that I should open the gate.

Kindly take this letter to your husband first, then let the others know I need to see them?"

Seeing how she snatched the letter and burst open the side, hearing her shout for Mr. Wayman to come in when he did she snapped, "Is Shawney out of her mind?"

"Joan, what is wrong?" Ken asks.

"Here, read for yourself."

As he read I heard him laugh, when the children ask, "Uncle Ken what is going on, and why aren't they opening the gate?"

"Sid, your sister was here and evicted all of us."

"But where will we go Linsey ask?"

"I don't know about you all, but I am going to get a room in town and ask you Aunt; she is the one responsible for you all on the street.

She took pleasure embarrassing Shawney, and she did such a fine job at that, now Shawney is trip off and throws us all out."

Hearing Jake saying, "There's a letter for Mr. Sid Wayman, Mr. Curtis Wayman, Mrs. Lynise Crawford, and Mrs. Meg Lewis. All going and taking the letter that was given as Jake calls their names.

Seeing their tears, break his heart, 'but I did tell her to throw us out.' Taking his bag, I hop a taxi and leave seeing all the sad faces.

"Mom, this is all your fault." Julien shouted at her.

"Shut up Julien, she feels she is better than all of us, somebody had to put a stop to her galivanting herself like a queen."

"I guess you are right, but now we are like vagrants on the street, and all the vagrants already choose the good spots, so tell me where are we going to stay tonight?"

Hearing her snap at the manager to open the gate, "Sorry Ma'am this is not a charity business, the orders were only paying customers."

"I am going to meet Dad Shantel said."

"I guess, I don't have any choice either but to do the same," Julien reply.

Meg and Lance took their child Carol and get in a taxi. Hearing Tony saying, "Come honey let's go?"

"But where to Tony? We don't have any place?"

"Meg is going to Lance parents, so we should do the same?"

"But your parents don't like me, Tony."

"Well, you could either stand her and gripe, until you face turns blue or humble yourself and follow me but right now, I am taking Sally and going home by Mom."

Watching them leave only Aunty was outside with our wives and children. Reading the letter, Curtis said, "Sid can I see your letter?" Taking it, "Look here Sid, what do you see?"

"Is it true, she left the old house for us?"

"Yes, I believe so, and we don't have to worry, the surroundings are well maintained, how about we take a room here tonight and tomorrow we go and clean up the old place, it's big enough for the both of us, you can use half for your family and I will use the other for mine."

"I think that's a good idea, Curtis, and we could make whatever renovation and altering to accommodate our families ."

When Aunty came, "What are the two of you plotting?"

Sid said, "Do we have any choice Aunty, I told you not to call Torren a lunatic, but you had to open your big mouth, now we are all homeless no thanks to you."

When Curtis said, "We decided to rent a room for the night here Aunty, and tomorrow we could deal with the problem of where we are going to live?

Right now my family needs to rest," asking the young lady to arrange a room for him.

Then Sid said, "I will also take a room, please."

"How long will you all need the room for Sir?"

"Just for the night please," Curtis said.
