14 Angry Wu Jinyan

Gu Zichen didn't focus much on the report presented by his employees as he was already in a damp mood with the way how Li Xiaoyi behaved towards Wu Jinyan.

He knew it was all his selfishness that brought both the women to one place. However, he was not guilty of what all he did so far.

From the start, his marriage with Wu Jinyan had never been a major issue to him. He simply married Wu Jinyan only because he came across her in the right timing. He was in desperate need of a woman by his side to prevent his family from setting him up on blind dates and also to make Li Xiaoyi regret her choice of leaving him for her career.

Wu Jinyan too was in a requirement of a man to provide her with a sense of security.

He didn't want to make things too problematic and simply thought everything would be fine as long as he took responsibility for her life by taking care of her necessities and keeping her safe from any danger.

Despite his distracted mind, he still noticed Wu Jinyan trying hard to maintain seriousness while listening to the report when she was actually not much interested. But with her unexpectedly laughing after seeing the clip, he understood she had some opinion. He paid attention to the commercial only when it was played for the second time. On seeing Wu Jinyan giggle again, he realized he was not the only one to find the concept used for the commercial was inappropriate. He simply asked the reason for her to laugh.

Wu Jinyan was stuck in a state she couldn't avoid. On one side Gu Zichen was pressing her to speak out and on the other end the employees seated around the table were sizing her up and down.

It wasn't her place to judge his employee's work.

At that thought, she simply cocked her head to one side and threw the question back to him "President Gu, you don't find it funny?"

It was best for her to present herself as a stupid woman before something bad happened. So, she continued awkwardly "Then I must be the only one to find it funny"

"I always thought one would laugh at someone's work only due to a strong valid reason. Just give me your reason already"

"Huh!!" Wu Jinyan tried to escape but Gu Zichen put her in a much tougher spot. 

Just by the way how Wu Jinyan laughed, the other people in the room felt she was just an ugly woman who knew nothing about business and marketing techniques. Few of the members in the room were somewhat agitated along with the team Director. But the leading head of the advertising team directly stood up and said "President Gu, I know it wasn't my place to question you but you already let an outsider to see the company's confidential matters. And now you actually want an unrelated and dumb person who knew nothing about product marketing to talk about my team's work"

The team leader spoke in fluent English with a thought that Wu Jinyan was just a dumb woman who wouldn't understand anything even when she was getting mocked for her stupidity.

Gu Zichen knew that the head of the advertising team, Su Huiling was a talented person but with the way she spoke about Wu Jinyan, he was dissatisfied. 

Su Huiling's hardwork brought her fame and she acquired a good position within few years of her entry into the company. But she was being arrogant because she was already at a higher position in the team and forgot she could be made to step down from her position if something went wrong.

Gu Zichen didn't know who Wu Jinyan was in the past and didn't want to know what kind of life she lived in the past as what all he cared about was only her present life she was living as his wife and he would never let someone to hurt or mock her. 

"Team Leader Su, even a person who knew nothing laughed at your work and you really think you did a good job this time? Weel, I don't think so" Gu Zichen too spoke in English as if he was just having a serious discussion with the team leader. He just wanted Wu Jinyan to not know that they were talking with her as the main subject.

"President Gu, you know it better than anyone. You were the one who rewarded me the best employee award last month for my exceptional working skills. And now you are saying my work is not satisfactory? Aren't you changing your opinions too soon?"

Gu Zichen never expected his own employees to speak against him. When did they become this audacious?

Though he was raged inside, he still maintained a calmer tone. "Miss Su, you should know that you are being extremely unreasonable. None can bring out excellent results every single time. You should accept the criticism in the same way you accept the compliments."

"You are calling me unreasonable because of a vulgar woman like her. I never thought you were that kind of person and who knows what magic spell she cast on y..."

Everyone inside the conference room was deeply immersed in the heated argument between their boss and team leader Su and didn't expect this to happen in between.

Wu Jinyan sprang up the seat and slammed both her hands on the table, jolting everyone to their senses.

"I also didn't know President Gu was such kind of dumb man to have a rude, disrespectful woman like you as his employee..." Wu Jinyan spoke in fluent English, leaving everyone utterly speechless.

Everyone looked at Wu Jinyan with mixed emotions in their eyes while Gu Zichen simply smiled in amusement. He really underestimated his little woman.

On the other side, team leader Su was in huge trouble. She initially thought Wu Jinyan was a brainless bumpkin. In reality, she wasn't really a fool and was simply observing everything from the side.

Wu Jinyan gazed at the team leader with menace spilling from her eyes. That malice in her eyes seemed as an additional ornament to her scary makeup.

She knew it was her fault to laugh at someone's work and also she was the reason for that someone to speak in an impolite and disrespectful manner towards Gu Zichen. 

One who caused the mess, should clean the mess. Wu Jinyan was bursting with anger and decided to clean the situation spotless to avoid any future trouble.

"Just in case I didn't laugh and President Gu praised your work..."

"Even if President Gu didn't say much, I know he was originally satisfied with my work" Team Leader Su said arrogantly.

"So this great concept for the commercial is really your idea?" Wu Jinyan saw the team leader's prideful nature and wanted to obtain a chance to direct all the flaws in the commercial onto her.

Gu Zichen noticed Wu Jinyan suddenly turning into a furious beast but he decided to calmly watch how the show unfolds with her dealing with Team leader Su instead of him.

"Of course, it was me who came up with this concept" Team leader Su said confidently. The other team members didn't say anything as their team leader already declared it as her own work like always. 

It was all her team members' work but team leader Su knew as long as she stood strong, nothing could blew up her cover. It was an open secret that the team leader takes the most credits for the efforts put up by the other members.

"Ohh...really!!" Wu Jinyan nodded lightly and continued with a smirk "Assistant Chen, give a heads-up to the company's legal team. Because someone will soon file a complaint against her saying she plagiarised their ideas to publicize products under Gu corporation"
