Gu corporation

In the President's office, Gu Zichen was signing some documents when his mobile beeped. Reading the text message, he signalled Chen Fei who stood nearby to pick the person from the lobby.

"Yes, boss" Chen Fei nodded before looking at the young lady seated on the sofa. He was sweating buckets due to the pressure he was suffering and the tension pulling his nerves was draining his energy.

He already lied to Wu Jinyan only to make her come to Gu corporation. Now bringing her into the office when the Boss's ex-girlfriend was still within the premises... Wasn't it similar to waving the flag to signal the start of a world war?

His boss really had some mental issues to deliberately have these two women clash with each other.

Chen Fei sighed helplessly. He then went to the building's lobby with an uneasy heart.

Then he saw a bunch of security personnel and the receptionist rounding someone at the entrance and rushed forward to see what was wrong. "Hey..What's going on here?"

"Assistant Chen, this crazy woman's saying she came looking for President Gu" One among the security men said.

Chen Fei looked at the person holding a paper bag and at the people blocking her. He pitied the security men for not knowing that the woman they were referring to a crazy woman was actually their lady boss. 

"Enough...everyone get back to work..." Chen Fei could only wave his hand to scatter the people surrounding Wu Jinyan.

"Sorry Madam. This way, please" Chen Fei looked at the woman again and shook his head in disbelief. Wu Jinyan simply have a slight smile.

The security men and receptionist were astonished to see assistant Chen take the bag from the crazy girl and politely escort her towards the President's private elevator. They looked at each other and wondered if they missed something critical.

Inside the elevator, Chen Fei glanced at Wu Jinyan from a corner of his eye to examine if she was really the same woman his boss hastily married.

It was him who retrieved copies of all the essential documents from the official database but he still couldn't believe that he was with the same woman he saw in the picture attached to the documents.

This scary woman dressed in shimmering neon green jumpsuit and with dark pink hair, and thick makeup was his lady boss. Is that supposed to be a disguise?!

But it was more like some Halloween outfit!

The woman in the picture he saw was simple and looked so decent with perfection and innocence stitched in every cell of her face unlike the monster he was seeing at the moment.

Regardless of how she looked, she was still his boss's wife.

"Madam, we are here" He said politely, breathed deeply to calm his heart and knocked on the president's office door.

Wu Jinyan nodded as Chen Fei opened the door for her and she walked into the President's room closing the door behind her. She glanced directly at the man seated behind the desk with seriousness written all over his face as his right hand continued to sign his name on the papers.

That person was damn attractive while he was working, she gazed at him without blinking. She was afraid he would disappear from her sight the second she blinked her eyes.

Gu Zichen lifted his head and was blown away on noticing her blowing avatar. He put aside the files in his hands and walked towards her without caring about the other woman at the seating area.

"What's all this?" Gu Zichen chuckled, fiddling with the wavy strands of the pink wig. 

"That...I just didn't want to get noticed by your employees. But..." Wu Jinyan mumbled lowering her head in embarrassment. She just wanted to disguise herself but went a little overboard and got dressed in more attention grabbing style.

Just then, she heard a shattering sound.There's someone else in the room?! Wu Jinyan turned and saw a familiar person seated in the middle of the huge sofa.

Her body froze as she recognized the young lady in a light pink dress looking like some elegant princess who walked straight out of a classic painting.

"Sh- she's Li Xiaoyi..right?!" Wu Jinyan muttered in astonishment.

"Ah..yes" Gu Zichen spoke nonchalantly as she glanced at the pale faced Li Xiaoyi. She looked as if she was electrocuted.

"Huh?!! She's back in the country already. There's still no news about her and the public is still thinking that she's in America. Can I go and talk to her?!" Wu Jinyan was feeling high with excitement jolting her nerves, she didn't consider the reason for Li Xiaoyi to be in Gu Zichen's office.

"You want to talk to her?" Gu Zichen frowned. What's good in speaking with that woman who left him?

"Yes.." Wu Jinyan rocked her head. She still remembered listening to Li Xiaoyi's hit songs in her high school days. Who would miss the chance to speak with a popular singer? That woman was really Li Xiaoyi...one of those powerful personalities who moved millions of young hearts in the country.

"Okay" Gu Zichen gave in looking at her puppy eyes. He took her hand and walked towards the seating area.

Li Xiaoyi dropped her tea cup as she watched both the figures standing close to each other. She felt her heart was split open when Gu Zichen played with another woman's hair. She was suffocated on seeing both of them walking towards her with no friction between them. Their interactions were so natural and harmonious, she blinked repeatedly to erase the scene tearing her heart apart.

That woman next to Gu Zichen was horrifying with her bizarre dress and hairstyle. She was just like some psychic character from a horror comic accompanied by her thick black eye makeup and blood red lip colour.

Li Xiaoyi did not understand why Gu Zichen was being intimate with a woman of such appalling appearance.

"I..I..I.." Wu Jinyan was so excited to speak with Li Xiaoyi, she did not know how to introduce herself. She was afraid she would speak something bad given her clumsy mind.

Li Xiaoyi simply scoffed before her gaze shifted to Gu Zichen. "Zichen...who's this ugly woman?! She's too frightening to look at. Just what got into you, you allowed such a woman to enter your office?"

Gu Zichen's face turned cold with no trace of warmth left as he glanced at the woman screaming on top of her lungs. He just wanted to show her what she lost by leaving him but she seemed to be unaware of his intentions.

He simply wrapped his hand around Wu Jinyan's shoulder and said gazing at his familiar but also unfamiliar wife "You want to know her identity. You can call her Mrs. Gu"

Li Xiaoyi was dumbfounded. She felt as if her heart stopped beating while Wu Jinyan who was initially sad and broken on listening to Li Xiaoyi's blunt words suddenly sensed her heart beat erratically.

Call her Mrs.Gu? Is there anything else that could make her more happier than holding this title?!

"What? Don't tell me, she..she..." Li Xiaoyi mumbled in confusion. The light in her eyes faded and she looked sickly pale.

"Yes.. she is my wife" Gu Zichen dropped the bomb.

Disbelief! Shock! Pain! Everything struck Li Xiaoyi's eyes.

Lu Xiaoyi struggled to calm herself and glared at Wu Jinyan. She held back her tears as she breathed heavily.

Why was it not her? Why was it that scary ghost like person? She would never believe that Gu Zichen married a woman who was not her.

He belongs to her! Only to her! No one could replace her position in his heart.

"She's your wife?" Li Xiaoyi huffed and continued "You want me to believe that you got married to this psycho?"
