17 Go to Hell, Gu Zichen

Gu Zichen closed the book he was reading and picked his mobile to read the message.

"I want to be alone. I'll be back home soon"

Those few words made him feel extremely restless as he didn't know what exactly made her upset. He would sure do anything to make her happy for the help she did him.

He tried to call her since the moment she left the company, but she didn't reply for once. He waited thinking she would be home soon but she was nowhere. It was almost 8PM and now she was saying she wanted to be alone.

If not for her, in the meeting he would have really nodded 'okay' and finalized everything in his absent mindedness. If not for Wu Jinyan, several troubles would have eaten his valuable time. 

From legal issues to complaints from public...who knows when the flooding of problems would end.

She came just like an angel to save him a tonne of headache. He was relieved she's smart enough to identify all the flaws in the commercial before he could point out any.

After he heard her opinion to throw out team leader Su, he did the same within minutes. He checked through all other employees in the company and threw a few more useless staff out the same time.

It's just that he replaced the whole advertising team for being reckless while doing their job. He knew it was not entirely Team Leader Su's fault and everyone from the team had a part in it. They agreed on such improper content to publicize a simple product, in addition they copied someone else's idea.

He did everything exactly as Wu Jinyan said but after a bit of rethinking, he realized his behaviour was totally out of his usual way of dealing matters.

People might call him narcissistic but he believed his abrupt actions weren't because of Wu Jinyan's words but only out of his own judgement.

Yes, Why would he even pay attention to someone's suggestions? There's no way he would be a foolish man to care about his little wife's passing remarks.

Once again, he thought back to the way how Wu Jinyan behaved as if people from H&H group would really sue Gu corporation and how she clearly mentioned about H&H's product. He shuddered thinking of the headache he would face if H&H really cornered him.

He's yet to find out how a simple, innocent girl like her knew of that impotence product when a big businessman like him never heard of such drug coming from that group.

The product was indeed immediately taken down from the market and public's eye due to several problems but still she knew about it. It's not like she could use it for her to know.

As his employees were mostly males except a few he didn't mind them knowing about it.

Wu Jinyan knowing about such inappropriate stuff.... it's not really a good news.

He took a deep breath before texting her back. 'How do you know about H&H's impotence product?'

He waited for almost ten minutes but didn't receive a reply. He was worried by the way how she was avoiding contact with the outside world.

In a flash, he picked his coat and car keys but realized he didn't know anything about her. He knew none of her friends to ask about any other place she could possibly be at. He simply decided to drive to her apartment first.

Wu Jinyan just walked out of the shower with a towel in her hands drying her hair. She picked the mobile that was nearby to see if she had any notifications.

She saw a text notification from Gu Zichen and on reading the words on the thread, she was stupified.

"What the...?!!"

Her expectations were drowned in the wide ocean. She thought he would at least ask where she was or if she had eaten anything. To her surprise, he asked about something like this. 

What rubbish was he even thinking for him to ask about that drug?!! She didn't know what thoughts ran through this man's mind but she was really disappointed. She was upset with this man for being unconcerned about her.

She quarrelled with his brainless employee only because that woman behaved badly towards him and spoke ill of him. Moreover, she was named as a rowdy woman, an uncouth person by his employee. But here he was bothered about some damn impotence medicine instead of her!! She realised that she fought for nothing.

"Go to hell, Gu Zichen" She screamed and tossed her phone and towel aside and jumped onto her bed.

"Ahh...this is heaven" she curled up into a ball to have a good sleep.

Few minutes later, a sound from outside disturbed her. She ran out of her bedroom and heard clear knocking sounds.

She was in no mood to entertain guests at the moment but someone's already at the door.

She opened the door to see vacant space before finding her neighbour's kid Little Bunny.

"Aunty, where were you these past few days? I missed you" the kid on the other side of the door asked in a sad voice.

Looking at the child's teary eyes, Wu Jinyan was moved. She said in sorry tone "Little Bunny, Aunty will be living at some other place from now on and might not stay here anymo..."

She's yet to complete the sentence, the little boy on the other side turned around, and ran away from her sight. His body was so tiny and lean, it was hard for one to consider him as a four year old kid.

"Little Bunny!!" Wu Jinyan cried out but she couldn't bother to chase after him. She simply closed the door and walked back into her bedroom.

She understood this kid became affectionate towards her since the day she moved into this building two months ago but she couldn't take care of him all the time.

His mother was always overworking leaving the kid alone and who knows where his father was.

Earning money was important but one should still take good care of their children. She couldn't bother to look after others' kid the whole time just because they were busy.

She too had her own busy life to live. She wasn't living entirely to help others and she never thought of living her precious life for someone else.

Just two minutes, she heard sounds from outside again. Thinking it was Little Bunny again, she threw open the door without much thought.

But on looking at the tall solid figure standing on the other side of the door, she slammed the door without any delay.

Since she didn't answer his text, he directly came to her house to know the answer.

How dare he come here?! Fuming in anger, she stomped her feet and went back into her room but soon heard noises again, disturbing her sleep.

As she walked towards the living room, she saw the man seated on the couch looking around the place.

She was uncertain how this man came inside when she certainly closed the door before. 

"Aunty, I said the apartment's passcode to uncle because he promised me he will let aunty live here with Little Bunny" Wu Jinyan heard a childish voice coming from the kitchen.

She then saw Little Bunny trotting towards the living room and hand a cup of water to Gu Zichen with his cute little hands. "Uncle, drink some water"

"Thank you" Gu Zichen took the cup and patted the child's head dotingly.

Wu Jinyan was speechless. Their actions were too natural and they behaved like they were in their own house.
