7 A married woman

"Don't you think you need to have a capable man by your side to protect you?"

Wu Jinyan halted running and turned around. His voice was full of strength and decisiveness, she saw no hesitation in his eyes.

Thinking for a moment, she found his words were rather logical. 

Though she lied about her marriage and declared she had no intentions in being a part in his game of making money, her father Wu Hao still sold her to that Han bastard like a fresh stock of meat.

On the other hand, this man before her did not take advantage of her even when she was lying unconscious like a log of wood.

He was truly a rare kind of gentleman who knew how to respect and cherish a woman like a precious jewel. The mere thought that she could marry such a gemtleman itself warmed her heart. 

She stared at his face for a second and lowered her gaze towards his wide shoulders, scanning down upto his finely packed abdominals that were covered by his white shirt. A perfect eye feast, putting one's heart on fire.

Any sane woman would die to marry a man with a sexy, muscled body like him. Why not have him all by herself when he was offering himself? 

Gu Zichen looked at her and noticed that her eyes were suddenly brightened. He didn't know what filth was running in her wild mind but he was relieved as she appeared to be keenly analysing his words.

Wu Jinyan nodded her head when she finally made a decision. His thoughtful words and breathtaking looks were enough to convince her. To any girl, safety and security was the prime necessity.

In addition, there was nothing valuable for her to lose in marrying a man like him and she didn't want to regret later by rejecting this fine candidate now.

Furthermore, she was reminded of Zhang Xiaoyuan's words. Indeed, having her own family was important for a lone soul like her.

Looking at the man before her, Wu Jinyan felt that she finally found the happiness she deserved.

"I agree.." she said in a firm voice. 

Gu Zichen nodded his head with a pleased look on his face. He thought it would be hard to convince her but it took him less than five minutes. Looking at his wrist watch, he said "That's good.. let's go"

He didn't give her a chance to breath and brought her straight out of the house.

"Hey...wait. Where are you taking me? I have to go..." Wu Jinyan was originally in a hurry to meet her manager Li Ran but this man somehow distracted her mind completely. If she didn't explain to Li Ran before the sun sets, she could forget about having a tomorrow in the entertainment industry.

"You'll know once we go. It will only take few minutes. Later, I will personally send you to the place you needed to go" Gu Zichen said pulling her towards a sports car and shoved her into the passenger seat before he got into the driver seat.

Driving along the wide lanes of the city, it took him only ten minutes to reach the civil affairs office building.

Wu Jinyan got out of the car and on seeing the place where she was, she hurriedly said.

"Hey... It's almost time for them to close the office and right now I have no documents with me. How can we.."

"Don't worry, I know how to deal with such simple matters". Gu Zichen unhesitatingly grabbed her hand and pulled her directly into the building. Wu Jinyan was confused but still followed him.

She agreed to marry him, but not this early. She didn't understand why this man's in a hurry to marry her as though some demon was chasing him from behind. Nevertheless, she followed him as she should do this now or later.

Just as he promised, it took only few minutes and she already had two red books in her hands.

Wu Jinyan's eyes twinkled like stars when she opened the certificate and looked at the picture. She traced her fingers across the faces on the picture.

She felt like she was in a dream. She couldn't believe she really got married.

From now on, there's no need for her to worry about anything. There's no need for her to bother that Wu Hao would seize her. She's now a married woman with a man who would protect amd cherish her for a lifetime.

"Wow...I never thought getting marriage certificates is this easy and simple. I heard people will wait in line for hours together to get their certificates, but I got my certificate within minutes..Haha"

"It's only because your husband is a competent man" Gu Zichen said and patted her head lightly. Touching her own head, Wu Jinyan smiled like a fool. This strange feeling was so sweet, she wanted it more and more.

"Alright..My dear husband, you are the best. Now will you drop me at my company?" She spoke too recklessly, only after she ended speaking did she realize that something was amiss.

Right, this man was now her husband...but wait..What's his name again? She actually got married to him without knowing anything about him.

'Wu Jinyan...you fool' She quickly looked at the name that was next to hers in the certificate and her mind went blank.

Gu Zichen merely smiled when he heard her first few words but on listening her final words, he realized that he didn't know the exact place where she was working.

"But where are you working?" He asked but received no reply. He turned around only to see her rooted to the ground with a dazed expression on her face while holding the certificate in her hands.

"What happened?!" He waved his hand before her. Coming to her senses, she asked with a face that started to lose colour drastically "You.. You..You are Gu Zichen?!!"

"Yeah... Is something wrong with that?" Gu Zichen said staring at her paling face. He knew she would never marry him if she already found his identity. He thought that maintaining low profile indeed had its advantages.

"No...but what do you do? I mean your job?" She sounded so cautious, she seemed to be regretting her previous decisions. Those fancy cars and that majestic manor, the mannerisms he exhibited, those expensive clothes he was dressed in....how come she missed to notice all these major details and only cared about his looks and few random words he said.

How could she still not guess who this man was after knowing his name?

She knew the man with the name Gu Zichen was practically a moving load of gold, the God of wealth, B city's top businessman.

Now that he heard her asking about it, Gu Zichen found it strange. He also did not know what kind of job she does and where she lives.

He didn't allow his brother to talk much about her details and simply ordered his assistant to make arrangements for him to get marriage certificates with her. 

Staring at the woman before him, he thought not only her, he was also a stupid to get married without knowing anything about the other person.

"My family runs a business and I handle the business. Simply to say, I'm the president of Gu corporation, Gu Zichen. But to you.. I'll always be your husband, Gu Zichen" He wanted to assure her that she didn't have to fear him for his identity but on seeing her crumpled face, he prayed she would not turn around and run away.
