3 Chapter 3: New friend

We didn't meet the rest of the week but I've been watching him. I just really can't believe that it was him.

"Chase!" i shouted while chasing him. "Aren't we friends? Why are you ignoring me? Why don't you spare even a single glance on me? Why are you running away?" i shouted as loud as i can to make my words reach him.

I know it reaches him but he just dont want to listen to it. Finally, after those shouting i did, he stopped and look at me.

"Stop pestering me. I hate you so please don't ever say my name nor talk to me" he said and left me there.

"Alyssa"

I've been searching for him for the past 4 years and yet here he was. He changed so much.

"Alyssa"

I've been wanting to meet him. I've been wanting to say those words that i had prepared. I've been wanted to call his real name. Now, i can do it.

"ALYSSA!" i was startled when Dahlia shouted.

"What?" i asked. "I've been calling you for so many times but you keep ignoring me. Why are you spacing out? Are you thinking about your date for tomorrow?" she said that makes me panic.

"What do you mean date? It's just a simple pictorial, that's all" i said then look at the window. Oh the soccer team are practicing. I watched them or to be specific, i am watching him. "Just admit that you like him" dahlia whispered and look at him then smirked.

"KYLO!!!" dahlia shouted. the soccer team look at our direction so i hid myself. Oh god, this is embarrassing. "Why are you hiding?" she asked as i glare at her. "Come on, that was embarrassing" i said.

"Anyways, i hope your date would be good" she said and laughed. I sighed and lay my head on my table. 'is it really a date?' i asked myself.

After class, i went to the back of the building. I sighed in relief when there's no one was there. I sat down under the shade of the tree and started sketching. "Dont you get bored? Whenever i come here, you're always sketching" i was startled when someone popped out of nowhere holding a ball.

"Oh sorry if i startled you" he said. "Nah it's okay" i said and smile. "About the thing you asked, yeah maybe it's a little boring if i do this everyday. I do get bored when sketching but i dont have anything else to do except sketching and taking pictures" i answered and then he smiles.

"Why dont we have fun on Sunday? If it's okay with you? Let's go to the arcade" he said. 'But i dont know this guy' i said to myself. "Oh i forgot to introduce myself. My name is Kyle. The Ace of the basketball team" he said while smiling. He offered his hands to shakes hand so i shakes hand with him.

"Nice to meet you. I am Alyssa from the music and photography club" i said and then smile back. "Yeah sure, give me your phone number so we could contact each other" i said and took out my phone. We exchange numbers and talk for a while.

"Kyle!"

"Looks like they need you now" i said and sighed. "Yeah, it was fun talking to you. I better go now or else, i'll get punished for the nth time" he said that makes me chuckles. Both of us stand up from sitting then he helped me collect my things.

"I'll go ahead, bye. See you on Sunday" he said. We bid goodbyes and then he left. I suddenly realized what i did. 'Oh god, is it considered as date?!' i said to myself. "He's kinda cute though" i said and blushed. What the heck, is happening to me.

"Cancel your plans for Tommorow" Mom said as soon as i reach home. I looked at her confusingly. "It's for your own good" she said and went upstairs. I sighed and went to my room. I took out my phone and look through my contacts. Should i message him or call?

I was about to message him when my nanny went inside. Then, an accident happen. I pressed the call button accidentally.

"Hello?" he said. My mind suddenly went blank. "Uhm if you wont say anything, im going to hung up" he said

"No wait" i said. "Uhm the case is... The pictorial for tommorow is cancelled" i said. Oh god, im so nervous. "Oh okay. Just tell me when will it be" he said and hung up. 'Still Rude' i said then sighed. I went to my art room and started painting. 'Why does he hate me before?' i said to myself after remembering his last words before he left me there. 'Did i do something wrong? Yeah, maybe im the one who did wrong' i thought then sighed again.

Suddenly, my phone rang. It was Kyle. "Hello?" i said and put it on loudspeaker. "What are you doing?" he asked. "As usual, im painting" i said he acted surprised that makes me laugh. "Woah really? You know how to paint?" he said that keeps me laughing.

"No need to act surprised" i said then he laughed. "I want to see it" he said. Though i cant see him, i imagine him pouting that makes me chuckles. "Alyssa, can i see it?" he asked once again. "Yeah sure. Let's video ca!!" i said. "Okay"

After a minute, we manage to video call. Oh god, he's really cute. Wait, what did i just said? No, i already like someone else. "Show me what you are painting" he said. I show him my work.

"That looks great. What does it mean and what's the title?" he asked. I think about it. "I haven't thought about the proper title for it but the red string are the one that connects you to the right person for you. The road means the endless journey to find that person" i said and smiled bitterly.

"Oh but why does it's dark? I mean it could have been day right? Why is it night?" he asked and i giggles. "Cause night is dark and sometimes you get lost or scared. You get lost and went to the wrong person. You get scared to try looking for that right person and would just stop the journey but the strings would glow in the dark and would still connect you to that person that's why my painting is about a girl in a dark road but the red strings glow that leads her to the right person" i explained.

"Woah that sure is deep" he said and then i chuckled. "But could you explain about that painting on th floor?" he said that makes me silent. I took the painting and show it to him. "Yeah that one" he said.

"I accidentally paint this" i said. "The road means life, that's it" i said and look the the girl i paint. "Okay but why does the road is cracked?" he asked that keeps me quiet.

"Hey"

"Alyssa?"

"Hey are you okay?"

"You're freaking me out"

"Alyssa!"

"Oh im so sorry. My mind was spacing out" i said and smile. I look again on the painting and sighs. "It means that the life of that girl is ruined and cant she can't continue her journey anymore. She can't continue her life like before" i said

"Oh that was sad" he said. "Alyssa, dinner's ready" my nanny said. "Anyways, see you on Sunday" he said and i nodded. "Yeah, bye" i said and ended the call.

I went downstairs after the call. "Who was that?" mom ask. I look at her in confuse. "The guy you are talking to earlier in the room" she said. Oh right, i forgot that they are strict. They hate to see me with a guy. "Just a friend i met this morning" i said.

"WHAT?!" oh god, here we go again. "You video call some random guy you just met?" she said. I sighed and smile. "There's nothing to be worried for. Im okay. He's great and we both have similarities. Besides, i have no time left so i want to have more friends" i said and continue eating. They both get silent after hearing the last sentence i said.

"When will he come back?" i ask to remove the silence. "Maybe tomorrow. You know what kind of person he is" Dad said. 'So he'll come back so soon' i said to myself and continue eating.

After i finish eating, i went back to my room. My phone suddenly rang. "Hello?" i asked. "Did you miss me?"
