64 Live long enough and become the villain...

As I stared at the faraway distance, I kept wondering about what was happening. I was barely able to see a scene, and the only thing that I probably saw, was a group of dots that were floating in the sky. I'm guessing those dots are the cause of the explosion, and right now, they're probably having a conversation with the elders that were below them, on ground.

At the moment, I was hesitating. Hesitating if I should leave the sect or not. I didn't know what to choose, because even if I left the sect, I would still be f*cked in the end. Perhaps not in the same way as when I decide to stay in the sect, however, no matter what position, getting f*cked still means getting f*cked.

Damn it... Why is my luck so horrible and good at the same time? Can't I just live a peaceful life with a harem of mine... Last time I had a harem, a damn random skinny dude came to ruin it all. Now, after I had acquired a few members for my new group of waifus, some damn random person wants to spoil my fun again. Seriously! Y'all need to stop and let me live in peace!

Anyway, when I was still in my own thoughts, elder Xuan appeared behind me all of a sudden, with the purpose of telling me about the messed up situation situation.

"Hey you. A few people are looking for you." Was what he said after he had appeared a few centimeters behind me.

'I F*cking knew it!' Obviously, some random fellas are here for me, to ruin my life again!' I complained inside my mind after hearing the elder's words.

I was damn right about my predictions! It seems that my life really can't be the peaceful type of journey like in those hanimes! Truly, I'm someone who sufferers from…

I'm not sure...

You tell me.

"Haven't you told them about the specific details as to what had happened? You're the one who gave me permission to kill, you know…" Was what I said to the elder in order to convince him to not involve me in such a horrible situation. I already knew for a fact that I was about to be brought towards a snake's mouth, hence why, I absolutely did not want to go and meet with those strangers that are probably aiming to kill me.

"I know. And they didn't want to listen. That's why, there is only one answer, which requires you as the starting factor. That answer is war." The elder replied.

With the elder's reply, everyone who heard us began to discuss amongst themselves heavily. Who is he, or things like what did he do, were the types of discussions that circled amongst the crowd.

It wasn't the crowd only that sounded suspicious however...

I was the type of suspicious person as well, although for a completely different reason compared to the crowd. I was suspicious about the elder's words, because they actually indicated something like my death!

So, as a result of my suspicion, I looked at the elder with a look that clearly indicated that I was suspicious of him.

"Are you planning to let them kill me so you could start a war in order to increase your sect's reputation?" I asked the elder while I glared at him with eyes as deadly as a wolf's.

Clearly, anyone with the right mind would think about a conclusion similar to mine. First of, the sect might want to prove that it doesn't accept the disrespect of another, and secondly, the sect might also want prove the fact that they will do anything to avenge their disciples.

If that's what they were planning, I'd rather not follow them.

'Sh*t! These sons of b*tches! They really are planning to use me for the greater good!'

The reason for such thoughts of mine, was because I was able to notice a slight change within the expression on the elder's face. It was not a good one, and surely, it was the type of expression that a doctor would show whenever they had a difficult time explaining a patient's death. Difficult for the old man, because my words were indeed true!

So, in conclusion, I had to get out of the sect as soon as possible.

'The elders will for sure not let me go. How do I escape then, when I'm literally inside the tiger's den?!'

'Right! The talisman! There must be a reason for that girl to give me that right before warning me about the Phoenix race! Let's hope that the type of talisman is indeed the type I think it is…'

Fingers crossed as I wished for the talisman to be my way out, I focused on my last memory of the talisman, and focused for it to appear in my right hand, since my left hand was occupied by Xiayen's.

I trusted Xiayen to go with me, since I already knew that she was never interested and loyal to the sect. As long as she was able to do her research, she would be able to fit in in every place.

It was also better to bring her along with me, since the elders might ask her multiple questions that might reveal my contact with the hood of assassins. Also, I need her for multiple occasions...

Her IQ, and her knowledge about the world and the sect for example. I needed it all, and there was no other trustworthy person except her.

Obviously, I didn't trust the hood of assassins of course. I just found them to be the best decision for me at the moment, since we are somehow like client and customer. The hood was interested in me, so why not use their interest to my advantage?!

With my hand in front of me, near my left leg, hidden from the elder, I made sure to hide the talisman as well before I were to rip it in two.

"There's no need to be so pessimistic. We'll do our utmost to keep your life safe." The elder wanted to assure me of my safety, but unfortunately for him, I was able to discern the lie within his voice.

"Hmm…" I hummed as I turned my head and shoulder to have them face the front again, and not the elder.

While I hummed, I moved my right hand to my mouth, as to make it seem as if I wanted to stroke my chin to think about the elder's words. However, I didn't want to stroke my chin, but wanted to rip the talisman with my teeth instead!

Hahaha!

My plan was success, as the elder was too ignorant to know that I had a teleportation talisman with me!

Indeed, the talisman was indeed a teleportation talisman…
