13 Naga's Legacy

Huo Yuhao frowned and stared at the deep purple-colored crystal in his hand. It is the Purple-Flamed Divine Dragon's legacy and supposedly a God's Legacy too. And he prepared for the whole three weeks to take this legacy.

"This is it." Huo Yuhao breathed in, increasing his grip strength slightly.
Cracks! Swoosh!
Dark clouds gathered in the sky and welcomed the bright day with heavy rain. Huo Yuhao was unaware of this fact and drifted into Purple-Flamed Divine Dragon's legacy realm.

Huo Yuhao opened his eyes and saw himself standing over a tall cliff. He stepped back and found the platform was no more than 1-meter square, making his movement awkwardly limited.
"Huh, to think I'd get into such a situation." He commented while using Kenbunshok Haki to observe the area. He slowly looked up and discovered an enormous towering silhouette.
"Damn..."

Naga is an enormous western dragon with purplish black scales all over his body. And has a long, serpentine neck and tail, along with a pair of large yet muscular wings. His head features four unique backward-facing horns, rows of enlarged teeth, and fin-like ears.

"Took you long enough, human's child." The Divine Dragon commented with an amused sneer. "However, I can see that you come here prepared, unlike other idiots who rush in and expect good things."
"My name is Naga. The Chaotic Purgatory Dragon of the Dark Flame Universe."
"Err, thanks?" Huo Yuhao responded awkwardly.
Naga lowered his head to Huo Yuhao and stared at him for two minutes. "Your soul is "exceptionally." strong and has more tenacity than an adult dragon, but your White Tiger's bloodline is truly dirty." A sigh escaped his tooth-filled mouth.
Huo Yuhao's expression hardened for a moment because White Tiger's bloodline was one thing he didn't expect to come from this enormous dragon. "Are you going to erase this bloodline?" He asked naturally.
"No. You haven't realized this particular truth, but your body is the most amazing bloodline container in the universe. No matter how much water you pour into it, it won't break because of the pressure." Naga replied with an envious chuckle. "Fusing my bloodline would be "extremely." difficult because usually, the container can't adapt to it very well. They would explode before even tasting my Thunderfire."
"But, I'm not?" Huo Yuhao added, to which the Divine Dragon responded with a nod. High Humans are an illogical race because of their adaptability, and some people in the distant universe even called them the God Race.
"Yes, and I'll be very straightforward. About my trial, you only have to endure my bloodline and Thunderflame for a minimum of one hundred years. The longer you endure it, the more benefit you get from me." Naga smirked slightly and explained. "I warn you first, even with your god-like body. My Thunderfire would burn you continuously for years. Also, my fiery bloodline will torch you from inside to the deepest part of your soul."
"Do it." Huo Yuhao returned casually.
"Hmm??" The Divine Dragon blinked his eyes, actually caught off guard.
The child shrugged his short shoulders and repeated, "I said do it. I'm not afraid of the Thunderfire sauna."
"Do you think I'll give up because of such a threat? I am always ready to put my life on the line when taking this legacy. I have someone to protect outside, sir dragon."
"Hahaha! How amusing! Absolutely Amusing!!" Naga excitedly roared to the sky, staring at the minuscule-sized human child in front of him like he was a precious gem.

Huo Yuhao's mouth opened in awe because the majestic Divine Dragon's charisma somehow was ruined in his eyes. He sighed inside and waited for Naga to finish his loud laugh. The whole legacy realm is shaking because of it.
A few minutes later, Naga cleared his throat and looked down at Huo Yuhao again. "Then, we'll start the trial." He said with a fake deep voice.
The Divine Dragon whispered something and summoned dark clouds in the sky. An enormous purple flame ball dropped and swallowed Huo Yuhao's body.
Huo Yuhao's eyes widened because the Divine Dragon wasn't joking about the burned part. He gritted his teeth and sat on the cliff immediately, calming his mind from this torturing pain.

Resistance and Affinity were part of Huo Yuhao's status panel but actually were never shown because they are passively part of his body. Hearing Evo's monotonous notification makes a smile appear on his face.
"Good, breathe through your nose calmly and exhale everything back from your mouth. Felt the Thunderfire coursing on your skin." Naga commented naturally. He pricked his chest and sent a glob of blood into Huo Yuhao's body.
"Absorb my blood and experience the most brutal physical pain you ever had. It will form your arrogance and mindset against weak attacks, dulling your pain sensitivity and morale when facing the strong enemy."
"Dragon is Prideful and Strong Creature. We were born strong and grew stronger with arrogance deep within their bones, harnessing that arrogance and controlling it like a calm sea."
"Control it like a calm sea that would devour everything on your path."

"Also, what's your name, my inheritor?" Naga suddenly asked with a shifted tone.
"GOD, FUCKING DAMN IT!" Huo Yuhao cursed while gazing at the enormous dragon. "Come on, Naga! You were so wise and profound a moment ago. Why are you breaking character so fast..."
"I'm bored..." Naga returned casually. "Being dead for millions of years is hard for a Divine Being like me. I'm dead, but not at the same time because my soul is pretty much alive."
"As long as my Thundefire still has a bit of spark, I'll stay alive. That's it."
"Aih, My name is Huo Yuhao." The corner of Huo Yuhao's mouth twitched slightly. He gained a laugh from the Divine Dragon, causing the legacy realm to tremble again.
And from that moment, Huo Yuhao becomes friends with the Chaotic Purgatory Dragon.

A few hundred years later, Huo Yuhao opened his eyes and sighed in relief because everything was alright now.

"Congratulations, Yuhao. You have absorbed my bloodline and Thunderfire perfectly." Naga praised while floating in the air.
"We should hold a party, and I'd tell you an amazing story about how I became the Poke-Dragon Champion. It will motivate you to become stronger and give you a boost of youth."
Huo Yuhao has listened to this same line over a hundred thousand times and replied, "Sorry, no thanks. I have enough of your story, Naga."
"N-No way..." The Divine Dragon was speechless because his inheritor and best friend rejected him again. There have been 10400320 rejections this century. "How could you be this cold to me??!"
"You're the Purple-Flamed Divine Dragon, Naga. Burn yourself with Thunderfire. It would warm your heart." Huo Yuhao commented with a chuckle.
"..." Naga couldn't believe his ears for a moment. Is this the legendary angst teenager phase for Huo Yuhao? Since the blue-haired child was so polite to him a few hundred years ago.
"Don't stare at me like that." Huo Yuhao stretched his body because he hadn't moved much for a few hundred years. "Your story is not particularly refreshing anyway. You beat everyone with a one-hit move and become the champion. That's it. I was sure you're using that banned medicine called Extremely Rare Candy."
"I'm not!" Naga countered while crossing his dragon arms. "I won fair and share. Everyone in the Black Flame Universe can confirm it."
Huo Yuhao shook his head and replied, "They are dead."
Naga was annoyed and returned, "Still, I'm not cheating! The dark dragons were the ones who cheated using Extremely Rare Candy. My experience and Thunderfire are better than them all."
Meanwhile, Huo Yuhao could only wonder what kind of universe Black Flame Universe was. The Divine Dragon said the whole universe perished with him but never explained how that happened exactly.
Huo Yuhao bowed slightly and said, "Thank you for everything, Naga. And before you're rambling about how I shouldn't bow like this. It's out of respect."
"Glad you remember that, Yuhao." The Dragon God responded with a grin. "Dragon's Pride is one thing you cannot sully. It deeply was engraved on every dragon's blood."
"Well, it's about time." He added while becoming slightly paler for some reason.
Huo Yuhao frowned and asked, "What do you mean?"
"My legacy is unique yet cliche in a way. When you completely absorb my bloodline and Thunderfire, my whole being will disappear alongside this realm. And I'm happy because someone was finally able to do it." Naga smiled peacefully.
"This is my end, the final rest."
"You said thanks for everything before, right? I should be the one who said that to you. Thank you for everything, Yuhao."
"It's been fun to have a friend like you."
Huo Yuhao smiled too and replied, "Yeah, me too."
The Divine Dragon lifted his right arm gently and pushed his imperfect fist to Huo Yuhao, causing the air current to shift in the legacy realm.
Huo Yuhao couldn't but laugh and fist-bumped the Divine Dragon naturally.
"Goodbye, Yuhao." Naga's silhouette slowly faded into the legacy realm.
"Mm, Goodbye." Huo Yuhao nodded, tearing up slightly.

"Hahaha, Got YOU! I finally caught you crying!!" The Divine Dragon reappeared and laughed at Huo Yuhao.
"..." Huo Yuhao.
The blue-haired child stared at Naga and coldly said, "I'll roast you and feed your corpse to Eas."
"Hehe, you can't. I'm dead already. BYE!!" Naga disappeared for real this time.
Huo Yuhao face-palmed himself and muttered, "What a dumb dragon..."
"Goodbye, bro."

"My body has become stronger." He commented while stretching a little, feeling two bloodlines inside his body. "It's weird but amazing at the same time."
"Well, It's not like I can train my body in the legacy trial. I can't say otherwise about my Spiritual Energy, though."
