Kidnapping or salvation?!

I slowly regained consciousness. My body felt so heavy and weakened. Everything around me was dark when I opened my eyes.

I thought at first that I was in a dark room, But later I realized that I was blindfolded as I felt the pressure of the blindfold against me. It seemed like I was setting on a chair, I tried to move my hands slowly but I couldn't, It seems I was tied to the chair arms by robes.

Then suddenly I heard a little girl's voice saying,

"Are you awake, brother?"

I replied with a weak voice

"Y-yes I just woke up."

The little girl said in a loud voice,

"DAD!, It seems you used much more of the dose than needed in the poison"

The man said, "Don't worry my sweetheart he will be okay."

"Here take this candy and go to your room I have something to talk with your brother about"

She said, "Alright, don't play too much with him, Dad."

I heard steps then the sound of the door opened and closed. "It seems she left" that what I though.

The man took off the blindfold angrily and said

"How dare you make my little daughter shout at me!"

When he took off the blindfold the light was too strong that I looked down for a while to avoid it till my eyes got adjusted to it.

As I suggested I was tied to a chair and there was a single light bulb in the room and it didn't have any windows and there was a single metal door and a computer at the corner of the room, It felt like a criminal's interrogation room.

I replied, "It's your fault in the first place why are you blaming me?!"

The man said, "Do you even realize your current situation?"

I replied angrily, "Do you mean kidnapping me?"

The man burst into laughter saying,

"Kidnapping?.... I am a scientist, not a criminal."

Then I said, "Then what do you call tying me up and being locked in here?"

The man said, "I bought you off from your parents, they sold y-"

"Huh, so now I am your slave?" I interrupted him

"We are In the 21st century where the human trafficking is illegal."

"Also how can I believe a stranger saying that to me"

"That is some innovative excuse you got there for kidnapping you should be in geniuses' world records"

The man smirked at me and walked towards the computer then he rotated the monitor towards me to look at it and opened a video file.

The video had my father in it, He was holding many money cheques in his hands and saying:

"You are free to do what you want with him.."

All that mattered in my life was money but now that I saw my father's greed for money, I seriously wanted to go back to past and punch myself who is saying,

"I want a job with a stable income to support my parents"

After the recorded video ended the man said,

"As I said before I am not a criminal, it's your parents who sold you off-"

The man's voice became fainter till I couldn't hear him at all then I passed out again.
