4 Bad lynx

Even though the lynx breaks the short-sword it still manages to block the hit and minimally injure the feline with it's broken shards.

After discarding the now bladeless handle Grhunk pulls out one dagger and with practiced ease throws it at the beast's neck, managing to nick a minor vein.

The enraged lynx throws itself to Grhunk's neck, trying to end the fight rapidly, because it had been bleeding for quite a while and it was starting to lose focus.

Even though Grhunk's wounds were graver, the lynx had been wounded for longer, and no matter how much of a fearsome killing machine you are. No blood, no live, yes dies.

Discovering this, Grhunk tries to stall for time, parrying the lynx's charges and changing to a more defensive style of fighting, more closed and with fewer counterattacks, and aiming those attacks to open wounds. Increasing the amount of blood that the lynx lost for every second.

This come and go lasts for a little while more until the lynx stops moving, breathing heavily, with visible shacking on it's limbs and a dead stare on it's eyes.

Seeing this as the moment to go for the kill, Grhunk does an overhead swing with the hammer aiming at the beast's skull.

At this instant the glint in the lynx's eyes changes to a maddened one, and without care for it's integrity, it jumps and claws at Grhunk open chest. Gifting him with a deep wound as it dies from Grhunk's strike.

Grhunk growls trying to maintain his grip on his consciousness as he searches for his last wound-closing medicine. This medicine doesn't heal the wound, it only stops the bleeding and puts the intestines back inside. It's a medicine that only the orcs from the North dare use, as all other variants of orcs, while having higher regeneration than the rest of sentient races, can't regenerate open stomachs. All the people of other races that haven't seen a Northern Orc fighting don't believe that there are beings apart from trolls that have a regeneration that strong.

After picking up the lynx's carcass Grhunk decides to move somewhere else, as his temporary lair will smell of blood and could attract other predators.

-You know, lynx, you're one of the nastiest boys I have ever met, but well. They do say that scars are an orcs make up. So I think I will have to thank you if I ever get a mate thanks to this scar.-

Grhunk talked with the lynx's corpse to try and maintain his focus away from the pain in his arm, chest and stomach. Pain that only increased with time. After walking for about 10 km Grhunk found a cave that he assumed was the dead lynx's at not finding any occupants.

-Well I think there IS an occupant- said Grhunk sniffing around- There he is!-
