"He's exactly what

I need..."

I open my eyes as I finish, looking up at the two boys on the screen. A smile breaks onto my face at their expressions. Tae, with the cutest grin I've ever seen, so big that his eyes squint to make room for it. And Jungkook, with his mouth agape and eyes wide. Lips opening and closing—much like a fish does.

I laugh at their expressions, "Okay! Who's next?" A wide smile on my face as well as I hurriedly ask them, excited to finally hear them sing—Tae especially.

Jungkook clears his throat, "I'll go." He says with a small smile. I nod and push a curl behind my ear, giving him all my attention.

(original song: all my life by park won)

(translated)

"너무 힘들어 삶에 치이고 것도 없고"

(when things were so hard that i was tired of living. when nothing was going my way.)

Jungkook started off soft, the lyrics leaving his lips in a low and heavy tone. A beautiful sound.

"가족도 안 보이고 언제부턴가 나도 중요 않고"

(when i hadn't even seen my family, and i wasn't important to myself.)

I recognize the song, despite it being in Korean, from having heard my mother play it in the car.

"없진 않지만 더 많이 가져야 사랑도 이어갈 수 있는 이 세상에서 all of my life, you are all of my life."

(in this world, where one must have more. in order to continue with love)

The emotion is practically dripping from the sounds of his voice. As if the song is portraying exactly how he feels.

He's singing so quietly yet the notes are stable and clear, beautiful and powerful. It's like nothing I've heard before.

"그러고 보면 나 너를 만나 참 많이 변했어"

(when i look at myself, i changed so much after meeting you)

"꿈이 생기고 네가 가진 꿈도 이뤄주고 싶었어 나 그러려면"

(i began to have dreams, and i wanted to make your dreams come true too)

He changed between the soft and low notes to a high and powerful key.

"더 높은 곳에 올라가야만 했어 더 많은 것들을 가져야 가능했어" (in order to do that. i had to go up higher, i had to have more things)

"다 가질 때쯤 사랑보다 꿈이 더 커졌어"

(just when i had everything, my dreams became bigger that love)

"all of my life 내가 힘이 들 때"

(when i was struggling)

"you are all of my life 뇌가 날 채웠는데"

(you fill me up)

"다른 어떤 걸로 나를 채워봐도"

(i tried feeling myself up with other things)

all of my life, you are all of my life

"채워지지가 안아"

(but i couldn't be filled)

The moment he finished singing, a frown appeared on my face. The meaning behind the song was brought to life with the emotion in his voice. And it was such a heart-wrenching song, that tears pooled in my eyes...

"Wow," I breathed out. "That was amazing, Jungkook."

He smiles shyly, rubbing the back of his neck. "Thank you."

I grin widely, "Okay~ Your turn." I direct to Tae. I was curious. He is so passionate about music and all forms of art, but I've never heard him sing once.

He chuckles as Jungkook nudges his arm.

(song: 4 o'clock)

(translated)

"어느 날 달에게 길고긴 편지를 썼어"

(i wrote a long letter to the moon one day)

The moment he started I became encaptivated by every sound he created. He voice was deep and soulful, as well as soft. So soft, and light and feathery. I couldn't compare it to anything I've heard before (not in that moment at least).

The way he sounded, my god! I could listen to him forever.

"너보다 환해진 않지만 작은 촛불은 켰어"

(it isn't brighter than you but it lit a small candle)

"어스름한 공원에 노래하는 이름모를 새"

(the nameless bird that sings in the park at dawn)

"where are you~ oh you"

"왜 울고 있는지 여긴 나와 너 뿐인데"

(why are you crying, it's only you and me here)

"me and you~ oh you~"

The way he lifted off the note, so light and breathy... It was so beautiful.

"깊은 밤을 따라서 너의 노랫소리가"

(your singing voice, that follows deep into the night)

"한 걸음씩 두 걸음씩 붉은 아침을 데려와"

(brings the scarlet morning. one step, then another step)

"새벽은 지나가고 저 달이 잠에 들면"

(dawn passes by and when that moon falls asleep)

"함께했던 푸른빛이 사라져"

(then the blue light that was with me, disappears)

After Tae finishes singing, Jungkook continues.

"I cAlL yOu MoOnChiLd~," Jungkook sing in a crackhead voice, making us all roar with laughter.

Although I don't know the song, I can only guess he's 'singing' the next lyrics or a lyric in the song. And the way Tae laughed at it confirmed my assumption.

"Yah, Jungkook-ah!" He laughs, playfully pushing him in the chair.

Jungkook just laughs harder, "What? That's what he sounds like, I swear."

Tae shakes his head, chuckling loudly, "Don't let Namjoon hear you say that."

"He's chill about it," Jungkook shrugs.

I just watch the two boys as the laugh together--seemingly as close as brothers.

"I didn't know you could sing like that," I huff an awkward laugh out. "Either of you."

"Wait..." Jungkook starts, "You've never heard Taehyung sing before?"

I shake my head, "Nope, not once."

Jungkook then punches his friend's arm, "Hyung! Sing more!"

Tae chuckles, "Okay, Jeon. I will take your advice!"

I shake my head at their antics, "You guys really act like brothers," I smile.

"We are," Taehyung grins. "We're all one big family in Bangtan," He finishes with a wink.

"방탄(Bangtan?) Is that your group name?"

They both nod, "Yup! 방탄 소년단 (Bangtan Sonyeondan/Bangtan Boys)."

"Bangtan Boys? Cute~," I coo smiling at the camera.

Jungkook laughs, "Really? That's Cute?"

"You guys are bulletproof boy scouts," I draw out, letting the smile reach my eyes after a few moments. "That's adorable!"

They both shake their heads, chuckle leaving their lips at the same time.

"Okay, creepy," I point out with a laugh, to which they shrug at, barely noticing how in sync they are. Their dancing must be amazing if they're as in sync as they are now. "I'm still waiting on that dance video, Taehyung."

"He hasn't sent you one yet?" I shake my head, a frown on my face. "I gotchu," He winks.

I laugh, "Thanks Jungkook."

I find myself smiling as I look at the two of them on my small, yet large, phone screen. It's crazy to think that only two months ago I had just met them.

Jungkook and I could barely have a full conversation, and now we're laughing and joking around as if we've known each other for years.

We're all so close, not just Taehyung and I... All of us have some sort of relationship. And I can only hope for is that years from now, we'll still be like this.

But maybe that's just wishful thinking.
