The First Glimpse Of Him

He had big brown eyes that were as deep as the ocean. His raven hair was swaying in the breeze and his jawline was perfectly sculpted. His arms had muscle in them and his skin was pale and looked smooth. But when I looked at his clothes, my face filled with dismay. They were torn and ragged with mysterious stains on them. His shoes were nothing but some pathetic sandals. It took me a while to notice the splotches of dirt all over his skin too. On his right there was a "Money Please" sign. That's when I realized that he was homeless.

I sighed at the sight of such a handsome man having such a wasteful life living on the streets with nothing but his thoughts to keep him going. He glanced at me and I almost drooled at the sight of his muscular face. I shook the thought away. "He's homeless, why am I drooling at the sight of his face?" I thought to myself. I shook my head at the thought of someone's youth going to waste. That's when I noticed that he was staring deeply into my eyes. He wasn't looking away and neither was I. I looked like a frozen deer in headlights. I shook my head aggressively. "What the hell am I doing? I have to get away from here. Homeless men are dangerous," I thought to myself. My eyes landed on his gaze again and realized that they weren't looking at me anymore. They were longingly looking at the cake in my hands. I sighed. Although I loved food, I also loved being a caring person.

I walked closer to the man and kneeled down, holding out my cake. "I um.. I see that you're homeless so I want to give you this cake." The corners of his lips went up which revealed his dimples. I felt happy inside just seeing his smile and I smiled too.

"I would have never thought that a spoiled girl like you would get a homeless man a cake," he said with his deep but mesmerizing voice. My smile quickly faded.

"Did you just call me spoiled? If you don't want the cake then I'll just take it back," I replied with a cold voice. If he doesn't appreciate my warmth and kindness and calls me spoiled instead then I shouldn't give him anything.

"You just look like the spoiled type..wandering around looking for stores to spend all that money on," he said.

"Who said I have a lot of money? You don't know that!" I countered.

He sighed and swatted away the cake. "I don't want it."

My eyes widened at this guy's stubbornness. I was being kind and this is what I get in return?! I huffed out a big breath and put the cake on the man's lap. "I'm a nice person so I'm giving you this cake. Let me do my good deeds. You're probably not going to get any food in the future with that attitude of yours," I said. I walked off back to the mall to find Xi Fang and tell her all about this homeless man's ridiculous attitude.
