9 Chapter 10: Departure

"Your grace, are you sure about this?"

The butler named Greg asked the duke cautiously. He thought the duke was making a rash decision.

'Its his only daughter. And Cardus mountain is so far away. Many things might happen to the lady.'

Greg shakes his head.

"Why,are you doubting my decision Greg?"

The duke who was looking at the large window in his office. He was watching Morana packing up for departure.

"I think its dangerous for the young lady to travel, my lord. She's just twelve years old."

"Then contact our business branch that is near the Cardus mountain. Make them sure to assist the lady properly."

"But my lord.."

"Its my personal decision."

Greg was quiet for a moment and asked.

"Are you doubting the lady's change these past month?"

Change. That word made the duke flinch.

'Change?'

'That 'monster' can change?'

The duke laughed out loud. Yes,he was suspicious of her.

'This is a test whether she really changed.'

But he doubt that.No, he was certain that 'she' wouldn't change. He was so sure of it.

'Maybe she is scheming something.'

"I'm testing her.Make sure to tell them to keep an eye on her."

Greg wondered why he would test his own daughter in this way,but still followed the order.

"I received the order my lord."

"My lady, we're ready!"

Morana went out and covered her eyes to protect it from the blinding rays of the sun.Laura immediately took a parasol and shaded Morana. She also took out a white hat.

"Please wear it my lady."

Morana took the wide hat and put it on. Then she started to speak.

"Let us depart."
