12 THUNDER IN THE RAIN

Ardian's eyes opened, staring at Nayla's face who was in front of him so very close to his face.

"Nayla, you..what are you doing?" Ardian asked when he realized Nayla's hand was on his cheek.

Hearing Ardian reprimand her, Nayla reflexively pulled her hand away from Ardian's cheek.

"I woke you up, because you were delirious." said Nayla with embarrassment.

"Maybe I thought too much." said Ardian while sitting and leaning on the head of the bed.

"You better eat first, I have prepared the food, I want to go home." said Nayla without waiting for Ardian's answer, leaving Ardian's room.

But really bad luck for Nayla, every time she was at Ardian's house, there were always events that caused her to be trapped alone with Ardian.

Nayla stared outside the house, outside the rain was very heavy with a thunderbolt, even though the weather was so bright and still late in the afternoon.

"It's the rainy season or dry?" muttered Nayla who was afraid of thunder.

With a pale face and feeling scared, Nayla slowly walked back into Ardian's room.

Ardian turned to the door as it opened and Nayla walked into his room.

"Nayla? have you forgotten?" Ardian asked in surprise.

"It's raining outside sir." Nayla replied hesitantly to say that she was afraid of thunder.

"Didn't you bring a raincoat? I have a raincoat." Ardian said as he went downstairs intending to take a raincoat.

"No need sir, I've brought a raincoat, it's just that I'm afraid of rain and thunder." said Nayla forced to be honest.

"Let me take you home?" asked Ardian again who was worried if Nayla wanted to go home soon.

"No sir, you are sick, it will hurt more if you have to take me." said Nayla as she sat on a chair near Ardian.

"You have eaten?" asked Nayla to see that there was still a lot of rice.

"I've eaten a little." said Ardian who felt bad about Nayla.

"I feed it Sir, you have to eat a lot." said Nayla as she took the plate which still had rice.

"No need Nay, I have to eat a little because my kidneys will not be able to digest it." Ardian said refusing softly, for some reason Ardian felt that Nayla was afraid since she knew that it was raining heavily and there was lightning striking.

Ardian looked at Nayla's face which looked scared with a slightly pale face.

Nayla screamed hysterically, jumped onto the bed and hugged Ardian very tightly.

The sound of lightning struck again until Nayla hugged Ardian's body tighter with cold sweat that had fallen on her forehead.

Ardian's heart was beating so fast, he never imagined that Nayla would hug him so tightly.

"Nayla, can you let go of your hug, it's just a thunderbolt it won't happen." said Ardian trying to calm Nayla.

"No sir!! don't tell me to let it go, I'm really scared sir .. let me hug you." replied Nayla hiding behind Ardian's chest.

Ardian wanted to calm Nayla down by hugging her back, but he doubted that Nayla would be angry with him.

Time went by until evening, the rain was still falling from the sky, and Nayla did not let go of her arms until she fell asleep soundly.

Ardian remained motionless, leaning against the wall of the bed, letting the sleeping Nayla sink into his chest.

"Nayla." Ardian called softly because it was already night and Nayla hadn't woken up yet.

Nayla opened her eyes slowly, and only realized it when she woke up by hugging Ardian's body.

Nayla let go of her hug, and sat down a little away from Ardian.

"I'm sorry sir, I feel scared if there is a thunderstorm." said Nayla with embarrassment.

"It's late, just light rain, I'll take you home." said Ardian getting out of bed.

"It's better if I go home by myself on a motorcycle taxi, sir, it's not good for your health if you go out at night." Nayla said without realizing that she was paying attention to Ardian again.

Ardian smiled as he put on his jacket.

"It's okay, it's not too late ... come on. I'll take you." said Ardian out of the room after putting on his jacket.

Nayla took her bag, then followed Ardian who was waiting for her on the terrace.

"Get in Nay." Ardian said opening the car door.

Nayla's heart was touched a little by Ardian's concern for her.

But when Nayla was about to get into the car, someone shouted her name.

"Nayla, sorry I just got to come .. I just read your message, I was sleeping ... I'm sick Nay." said Kenzo who suddenly came running towards Nayla.

"Is it true?" Nayla touched Kenzo's forehead, which was hot.

"You better go home, rest Ken." said Nayla who could not bear to see the person she loved was sick.

"I've arrived here Nay, I'll take you home, okay?" said Kenzo with a pale face.

"Okay." said Nayla with a heart that had melted back.

"Mr. Ardian sorry, I just went home with Kenzo, Mr. Ardian can rest .. thanks Sir." said Nayla without feeling guilty, which had incised the wound in Ardian's heart.

Ardian smiled, even though his heart was sore.

"Be careful, Nay, greet your parents, I'll be there tomorrow." Ardian said then went into the house with a sore heart.

In the room, Ardian sat on the edge of the bed staring around the room.

"I love you Nay, I don't ask anything from you other than your feelings of love for me just a little." muttered Ardian with a deep sigh.

"Ken, why are we here?" asked Nayla, who still clearly remembers the place where Kenzo's contract was in high school, indeed Kenzo prefers to contract than live in his house which is always quiet.

"I'm sick now Nay, my heart was hurt this morning Zanna sent a message if you accepted Mr. Ardian's application." said Kenzo holding Nayla's hand, after being inside the rented house.

"I have to go home Ken, I have accepted Mr. Ardian's proposal, so don't you hurt my heart anymore." said Nayla, letting go of Kenzo's increasingly hot hand.

"Nay, I seriously love you .. if my father had no problem in his company, I would marry you Nay, believe me !! how can I prove to you that I really love you." said Kenzo with a pale face.

"What do you wanna prove Ken? I've been hurt because of you." said Nayla with teary eyes.

"I'm also hurt Nay, and I'm really helpless with Dad's decision, I don't want to hurt my dad too Nay, please don't continue Mr. Ardian's proposal." said Kenzo in a trembling voice and exasperated.

"I have to go home Ken." said Nayla about to open the door, but her steps stopped when Kenzo called her in a trembling voice.

"Okay Nay, if you don't believe I really love you, I'll prove it now. Just so you know I accept this engagement because I want to be a filial son to my parents. And I told you this engagement is only for five months, but you don't believe me. Hopefully after I do this, you will believe that I can't live without you." said Kenzo, holding a bottle of insect repellent.

"Look at me Nay." said Kenzo while sipping the bottle of insect repellent in front of Nayla.

Kenzo actually did it by sipping an insect repellent bottle in front of Nayla.
