7 Why Did You Do It To Me?

After sleeping for almost 3 hours Xu Zhuya woke up. She felt some weight on her hand. She looked towards the hand and saw Li Wei sleeping beside her. Li Wei was sleeping peacefully when his sleep was interrupted by something. He opened his eyes and saw that Xu Zhuya was awake.

He gave a smile and climbed up on the bed. He pulled her down by his shoulders and laid down along with him. "Ahh! I am so tired, I want to sleep more."

Xu Zhuya tried pushing him away. But she later gave up when she realized how much she missed him too. She stared up at the ceiling and murmured "Why did things turn out like this, Li Wei? Why did you cheat? We could have been happy together.... If you had any problem, you could have talked with me, but why did you go the wrong way and cheat?"

As she thought of the scene which happened yesterday she started crying again. Li Wei heard her sniffling. For some time, he just wanted to pretend that things were alright between them and just hug her tightly and sleep. But her constant crying was not letting him do so. He was feeling guilty to hurt her, to make her cry.

He instantly hugged her tight and whispered "It was a one night stand, Xu Zhuya." He let out a sigh when he realized how comfy the hug was. Xu Zhuya pushed him a little and looked right into his eyes. Her eyes were teary and she had a confused look on her face.

Seeing that she didn't get it, Li Wei sat up on the bed and narrated his story in a detailed way "It was a rainy day. That day our company had lost a huge sum of money in a deal. I didn't know what to do so, I thought that alcohol would give me some ease. So I drove to a nightclub and got drunk. I got out out of the nightclub and started driving the car.

In the midst of a lonely area, I saw few men harassing a young lady. They tried touching her here and there. So I went to rescue her like a hero of a movie. Sigh! I shouldn't have done that... That was what brought destruction to my happy life." He paused and saw her reaction. Xu Zhuya's face was mixed with different emotions.

When Xu Zhuya didn't hear anything more from him. She looked up at him. "What do you mean?" She asked with a frown.

Li Wei gave a forceful smile and continued "I punched those men and got the lady safely to my car. I offered her my coat and she replied 'Thank You for saving me back there.' I just nodded and started driving. While driving I had asked her that where does she stay, she replied saying that she's new to the country and had arrived today, she had lost all her belongings and her purse was also stolen so she doesn't know the address of the house her friend gave.

So, I took her to one of my bungalows. It was raining badly and I couldn't drive in that bad weather so I decided to stay over there..."

*KNOCK-KNOCK*

As Li Wei was about to speak further, he was interrupted by a knock. Li Wei got up from the bed and opened the door. Butler Gong and two servants were standing outside holding a pack of medicine and a food tray. Li Wei took the medicine pack and instructed the servants to place the food tray on the bedside table.

The servants walked inside and bowed to Xu Zhuya but they got no response from her. They placed the food tray on the table and bowed again and left. Xu Zhuya was so busy in her thoughts that she didn't realize Li Wei opening the door or the two servants walking inside and bowing to her.

After the servants bowed and left, Li Wei closed the door behind him. When he turned around, he saw his wife was lost in thought. So, he coughed a little to catch her attention.

Hearing the cough Xu Zhuya immediately came out of her thoughts and looked up at him. She frowned and said "I don't have an appetite right now. Just continue with your story. I wanna know everything." Upon hearing her cold voice, it was clear that she was angry but still Li Wei went towards the bedside table and took the food tray.

He placed it near Xu Zhuya and sat alongside her. He took a spoonful of rice and bought it near to her mouth. Seeing this action of Li Wei made Xu Zhuya more furious. But on looking at the food, her stomach growled. She hadn't eaten anything since hours and she was feeling hungry.

So, she opened her mouth and took the rice. She took her own time to chew and swallow the rice. As he saw her eat, a wide adorable smile came on Li Wei's face and he bought another spoon to feed her again when Xu Zhuya showed her hand. "Stop! I can have the food by myself. Just continue."

Li Wei's smile faded and he placed the bowl back on the food tray. He became a little depressed by her cold words but he was happy that she was atleast eating something.

"Yeah, so where was I?" after saying this Li Wei kept on thinking where he had stopped. He scratched his head trying to think. But it was all just a pretension. He wanted to know if Xu Zhuya was intently listening to him or not.

Hearing him Xu Zhuya replied "You decided to stay over there due to the rain... You have to continue from there..."

He smiled again and continued "Ahh! Yeah, now I remember. Yeah, so because of the bad condition I decided to stay in the house and went along with her inside. As we entered the bungalow, there was an eerie silence between us only the sound of the raindrops falling on the window panes was heard and yeah of course, our even breathing too. I took a glimpse of that young lady standing beside me she looked wet and pretty. Her auburn hair were all wet and her loose clothes fitted her body due to the water. Her hourglass figure made my throat dry. Before she could say anything I grabbed hold of her wrist and pinned her on to the sofa, kissing her plumped up lips. For a while she struggled but then she started responding to my kisses. I took off her clothes and I...." Just as he was continuing Xu Zhuya's voice cut him off.

Xu Zhuya: "Stop the detailed conversion and tell me who is she? Do you still love her? Be honest."

Those words were just like a piercing straight to the heart. Her voice was so cold that it was making Li Wei quiver. Li Wei thought for a while and then replied "She's my wife. But I don't love her, that's the truth."

"So you even married her?" Xu Zhuya had a shocked expression on her face. 'Nevertheless, they were kissing so intimately that day, it was because they were married.' She thought in her mind. Her heart was already shattered into pieces but now, it just felt that it would stop beating anytime.

Li Wei: "Yes I married her but I still love you. The day when my eyes fell on you I fell in love at first sight. It was a really good feeling. That kind of feeling which I had never experienced before. You are the one and only person whom I love and there's no one else other than you to snatch my heart away." He held her hand but Xu Zhuya snatched her hand away from his hold.

She really couldn't understand why he married someone else when he was loving her. So, she asked him "Why did you marry me then?"

Li Wei took a deep breath and spoke "Actually these all stuffs happened almost 5 years before when I was 24 year old. When I was just new in this business line."

He sighed as if he was trying to recollect all those memories which he had forcefully hidden deep inside himself and then said "That day after having an intercourse with her, I took her to bed and slept with her. It was her first and even mine. In the morning, I woke up early and kept a pile of cash near the bedside drawer and left the house. Two weeks later, she came to me saying that she was pregnant and when I didn't agree she threatened me saying that she will abort the child and also expose me in public saying that I impregnated her.

Unfortunately, this would have caused our company to go bankrupt so that's why I avoided it and also I didn't wanted her to abort the child, So I married her. Now she stays in one of my bungalows with my two kids. If you want I can divorce her, It's not that I want to stay with her. I don't plan on spending my future with her anymore."

He took a deep breath.
