6 The Questions

Li Wei was shocked by her and had an opened mouth. Each time he opened his mouth to say something, he couldn't say anything. It felt that something was choking him. Upon seeing this Xu Zhuya forced a laugh and said "No words right? I knew it... It was you."

And suddenly she sat up on the bed and said "I had never expected for you to cheat on me. Why did you do this to me, huh? Was I not enough for you that you went for another one just within 8 months of our marriage, huh? Tell me what was it that made you cheat on me, Li Wei?"

She never knew when the tears came out of her eyes and this time she cried more loudly letting it all go. Li Wei noticed her. He couldn't say anything. He felt guilty... Guilty for hurting her. And, now he didn't know what to do so, he tried to walk out of the room.

But before he could leave the room, Xu Zhuya went after him and held his hand tightly. Holding his hand, she asked him again "Why did you cheat on me? Why, Why, why...?" Slowly, slowly the words became slow and she felt the whole word go dizzy and then it was all turned black.

Li Wei felt the grasp being loose and when he felt that she had let go, he turned around to see. To his surprise, he saw Xu Zhuya falling down. He immediately took her in her arms before she could fall down. The sudden weight forced a lot of pressure on his right arm and he winced with pain.

He held Xu Zhuya in princess style and placed her on the bed. He rubbed his arm and called for his family doctor. Dr. Huo was the doctor who had been looking after him and the Li family for a long time.

Dr Huo was reading a file of a patient as his phone rang. He stopped reading and looked at the caller ID. Without hesitation, he picked up the call and answered "Hello, how can I help you CEO Li? Should I come up to your mansion or to your parents place?"

Before Li Wei had even responded, he was out of his room and was walking towards his car. There was no need for him to think much because a doctor is only and only required once you are injured or hurt. He opened the car door and started driving to the Li Wei's mansion after he heard Li Wei speak.

The smart doctor drove to the Li Mansion. He was welcomed by Butler Gong and was escorted to Li Wei's room. He sat at the bed beside Xu Zhuya, checked her pulse and her blood pressure. He noticed that her blood pressure was high so he asked Li Wei about it "Has she been taking any stress lately?" He then checked her body temperature, it was high. "She has fever too!"

Getting no response from Li Wei, Dr. Huo stood up from the bed. He took out the stethoscope from his ears and hung it over his shoulders. Walking towards Li Wei, he asked him again "Had she been taking stress lately? I checked her blood pressure it's high and if it continues on she will suffer from Hypertension and she has fever also..." He paused for a while hoping to get a reply from Li Wei.

But, he didn't hear anything from Li Wei. So, he continued again "And just make sure that she takes her meals on time. It seems that she had skipped her meals."

Li Wei was astonished on hearing Dr. Huo. He never even thought that just because Xu Zhuya had seen him kissing with someone else, she would take stress and that too skip her meals. He didn't expect this all.

He responded "I don't know her reason for taking stress I came home at dawn so I really don't know much about it. All I know is that when I tried talking to her she started crying and fainted." He lied. Half of his statement was a lie. But he had no choice other than lying.

Dr. Huo looked at Li Wei and asked with a frown "Perhaps she knows about your mistress?" Other than his secretary and himself, Li Wei had also told Dr. Huo about the woman.

Li Wei's lips twitched and his eyes fluttered. He tried to maintain his calm looking face but unfortunately he couldn't. He then admitted the truth "Maybe... yeah! She was asking me all those questions regarding who the woman was, Why I cheated on her, She demanded answers... answers for those questions which I don't know how to answer." Li Wei stopped speaking and sat beside Xu Zhuya. He rubbed his forehead and spoke lowly "I don't know. I thought it would just go on like this... But I never thought that she would be hurt to this extent after knowing the truth."

Dr. Huo walked towards him and patted Li Wei's shoulder. "It is fine, my boy! You don't have to worry about anything. She will be fine. There had to come a time where everything had to be exposed and maybe that time is now. So, I will advise you, whatever you do, do wisely. Take some time to think and do it. Don't be harsh and make a tough decision where you both have to suffer."

He took out a paper from his bag and scribbled some thing on it. "Here! These are the medicines which you shall give her for her betterment. Make sure she takes it daily and give her healthy food. Don't let her skip any meals. My prayers are always for you, son! I shall leave now! Take care." Dr. Huo gave the paper to Li Wei, bowed and left the mansion.

Li Wei then called out for Butler Gong and instructed for him to bring the medicines and to get some healthy dishes prepared. Butler Gong bowed his head and left taking his master's orders.

He then walked back towards Xu Zhuya. A smile crawled up on his face as he saw her sleeping. She looked very fragile and weak. Within a day she turned so weak and lifeless... He sighed and touched her forehead.

It was burning. He immediately covered her with the blanket and rushed to the washroom to bring some cold water. After that he took a soft cotton cloth and dampened it in the cold water. He then carefully placed it on her head.

Whenever he was sick, his mother used to do this to him. He smiled as he thought of his mother and dampened the cloth again. After doing it for some time, he felt a little tired. He touched her forehead and noticed that it was now little normal. He took a chair and sat beside her.

He touched her hand and slightly caressed it. "I am sorry, Xu Zhuya!" He rested his head beside her and after some time, he fell asleep.
