44 The Photo

Xu Zhuya opened her eyes only to see a new surrounding, all white and almost blur. Slowly, slowly her vision got clear and flashbacks of the previous night came to her mind.

She became unconscious after seeing Li Wei over there. Her thoughts were completely muddled up. That's when she remembered that she was pregnant.

She touched her stomach with a wavering hand and found it to be empty. She didn't feel anything and no heaviness. Tears started falling from her eyes. She lost what was precious to her. She couldn't protect her baby.

For the past 2 days Xu Zhuya was in the hospital. Every time Wu Yanchen would come and see her pale face. Wu Yanchen was tensed. He wanted to hug her, console her but right now she is in that state that she won't like it if a stranger touches her.

His heart ached to see her cry. Knowing that she thought something else about the baby, he spoke with a soft voice "The baby is safe. They transferred it. Don't worry, the baby is completely fine."

Xu Zhuya looked up with her red and swollen eyes.

Wu Yanchen repeated once again and this time he spoke with a slight smile "Yes.. the baby is fine."

Xu Zhuya couldn't believe him.

Simultaneously, a smile tugged on her face and she looked cute with her red nose and swollen face. Wu Yanchen cupped her face and said "Don't worry, Xu Zhuya... The baby is alright. Are you fine?"

Xu Zhuya always missed this warm and tender touch that is why she didn't remove his hand and spoke with a small voice "I'm fine now. Is the baby really good?" She asked to confirm again.

A mother always looks after her children before looking at herself. So that's what Xu Zhuya did. Even after Wu Yanchen told her that the baby is alright; she couldn't believe it. She wanted to know her baby's health first that's why she kept on asking the same question again and again.

Wu Yanchen kept cupping her face and replied the same answer with an amused tone. He really wanted to touch and feel those soft pink lips of her that had regained their color.

Her brown eyes were now shining brightly like a twinkling star in the sky.

Wu Yanchen touched her forehead with his and said "I'm sorry. I couldn't protect you..." There was sadness in his tone and Xu Zhuya felt it. She never heard his tone this sad and the curiosity hit her hard; she wanted to know why does he acts strange always....

Li Wei felt guilty that because of him she was lying in the hospital and moreover for 2 days. He was worried that why did she not wake up yet.

'Was she that afraid on seeing me? Did I break her that much?' He kept on thinking till he arrived at the hospital. He never knew that she was pregnant. If he had known that she was pregnant, he wouldn't have allowed her to leave. He wouldn't have divorced her. He would have kept her with her... If and only if, he knew it beforehand...

Now that he knew that she was pregnant, he was willing to keep her with him always and also the baby; after all the baby was both his and hers. He reached the hospital and asked for Xu Zhuya's room number.

Li Wei had known about Wu Yanchen. They met each other during an event. Though Wu Yanchen is a doctor; his brother Wu Fan had a business despite of working as a doctor so, obviously Wu Yanchen would come up at an event organized by his own brother.

And that day, Li Wei also had come for setting a business deal and that's how they met. But the meeting was short. They both had their cold glances and were handsome in all aspect.

Even though Wu Fan was a businessman as well as a doctor, girls would only screw up with him for getting in contact with Wu Yanchen.

And about Li Wei, well he was the handsome guy from Country X. So imagine two currents in one same place, it would be a shock..... A bonanza.. That's what happened that day. A once in a year or a lifetime bonanza had taken place and that's when they both had met Xu Zhuya.

At that day, Su Wan and Song Jung had also come at this huge bonanza. It all happened because Su Wan wanted to see Li Wei and Wu Yanchen together. She wanted to see how they would pass on their currents with their handsome looks.

The chance finally came. Su Wan pleaded Song Jung and he agreed and they both headed to that event.

Su Wan was shocked to see those handsome faces together. She really said in her mind "Ahh! I wish I wasn't with this honey of mine.. I would have been with one of those two." Even though if she says it in her mind or slowly there's always a person tugging behind her who understands her so well. "Ahem... Ahem... I apologize but this honey of yours is like a honey bee which doesn't leaves the person who disturbed it..." Su Wan blushed at his words and hit him lightly on his shoulder.

They had a good delighted moment and now it was time to leave. The winds started to blow out high, dusty weather and all of a sudden it started to rain. The weather changed in an instant and everyone started to rush back home. Su Wan was calling a cab so she opened her purse and that's when she was pushed by someone and a photo of someone fell on the now wet floor.

Su Wan didn't realize that the photo had fallen and called the cab and Song Jung and her went back home.

Meanwhile, that photo scattered to a place where Wu Yanchen was standing. Even in that rainy weather, Wu Yanchen took that photo in his hand. Seeing the girl smile bought a smile on his face. He didn't knew that he would meet this girl after waiting for so long... and that was why he was attached to Xu Zhuya.

Her smile fluttered his heart and he fell in love at first sight.
