36 The Interview [Part 2]

Seeing her not move, Wu Yanchen looked at her questioningly and asked "Won't you sit Miss. Xu Zhuya?" Xu Zhuya heard him speak and immediately sat down on the chair. She placed the file on the table.

Wu Yanchen took the file in his hand and before opening up the file he said "Miss. Xu Zhuya. I'll ask you a few questions. I want you to answer them truthfully. I don't want any liars in my place. Got that?" His voice was cold as ever.

Xu Zhuya said to herself 'Well that was quite a serious tone. I can see why his Mom and brother were staring at him in the elevator because he had this sweet kind of tone but now it's damn serious. Damnn! It's giving me shivers.' Xu Zhuya shook her head and said "Okay. I'll make sure to answer the questions truthfully."

Wu Yanchen nodded and said "Introduce yourself."

Xu Zhuya started her introduction "My name is Xu Zhuya. I am from Country X. I'm a Pediatrician, having an experience of almost 5 years. I can understand the patients condition in less amoun..." Xu Zhuya was cut off by an angry voice.

"Stop" Wu Yanchen placed a hand in front of her and said "Stop Miss. Xu Zhuya. I didn't ask about you understanding the patients or not. This all every doctor can do. I asked about your personal life. You didn't introduce well."

By hearing this, Xu Zhuya got worried. She started to take tension. She waved her hand in front of him and said "Please, Mr. Wu Yanchen. I'm sorry." She bowed and then continued "I'm really sorry. Please, give me one more chance. I'll introduce well this time. Please."

Wu Yanchen thought for a while and told her to continue.

Xu Zhuya thanked him and started to introduce again "My name is Xu Zhuya. I'm from Country X Age 26. And...." She paused for a while.

Wu Yanchen looked at her and asked her a question "Your marital status?" Xu Zhuya paused for a while and said "I'm married. No, I was married. Now I'm divorced. This is the reason why I left Country X. And now I'm pregnant." No matter how much she hides it, the truth had to come out eventually... So, she answered everything truthfully.

The last sentence which Xu Zhuya said made Wu Yanchen widen his eyes. Then, after a while he gave a big smile. He was satisfied with her answer. She was honest with him.

So, he said "Miss. Xu Zhuya. I'm impressed by your honesty. That's why I would like to select you for the job. May I know when you will be able to join?" His voice was now gentle unlike his previous tone.

"R...Really?" She looked at Wu Yanchen with her eyes wide open. She really wasn't able to believe that she got the job so easily. "I am selected?" She saw Wu Yanchen giving a nod and a big smile came on her small oval face.

It was a breathtaking sight for Wu Yanchen. He felt his world stop just right there.

"Thank you so much... Thank you so very much, Mr. Wu Yanchen! I will try to do my best with the job." Xu Zhuya clapped her hands together and bowed to him quite a lot of times. She was so happy to know that she got the job.

"So, when will you be able to join?"

Xu Zhuya thought for a while and replied "Whenever you say, Mr. Wu!"

"Okay! You can join from tomorrow onwards." Wu Yanchen replied.

A thought came in his mind when he realized that Xu Zhuya was staying in a hotel room. He kept his hand on his chin and contemplated.

After a while, he spoke "There's one condition which I want you to accept. If you don't, then you won't be getting this job." Well, what he was saying was very risky... Cause there was a chance of Xu Zhuya not accepting his condition.

So, he spoke very wisely when Xu Zhuya asked him about the condition.

"Being a rich bachelor in Country Z is really difficult. Since, I am a rich person... I spend all my money doing some work which helps needy people. There are a few houses which I own and they have been empty for quite a long time...

Staying in a hotel is very expensive compared to staying in a house... And besides settling in a new country requires quite a lot of money and it would take some time... So.... I was saying that you should stay in one of my houses.

That way you won't have to spend your money anywhere and you can just keep on summing it up." He gave a satisfied smile after being satisfied with his explanation.

But, Xu Zhuya wasn't at all satisfied with what he said. It really felt weird.... like as if something was off. She couldn't know what...

Still, she tried to decline. "I'm sorry but..."

"I won't take it as a No, Miss. Xu Zhuya. I just want to help you! Just don't get me wrong." Wu Yanchen assured her.

"So... I should stay in your house for my job?" Xu Zhuya asked trying to clarify his statement.

"Mhmm!" Wu Yanchen nodded.

"Okay, I accept it!"
