32 Her Lost Phone

Xu Zhuya reached the hotel. She was shocked to see... It was indeed a huge, luxurious hotel just like what Yan Rong had described her. Unknowingly, a smile escaped her lips on recollecting the actions of Yan Rong. The way she chose a good hotel, bought her ticket, set her up and helped her out, all that, made her smile. Xu Zhuya felt really happy.

She shook her head and said to herself "Xu Zhuya, It's not the right time to think about this all. I know it's about YanYan but... but then I need to find my phone. Let me go and talk with the receptionist. I need to find that driver." Xu Zhuya hurriedly went inside and went towards the reception area.

The receptionist greeted her with a smile and asked "Hello, mam... How can I help you?" Xu Zhuya tried to stop her tongue but she blurted out "I'm trying to look for my phone." The receptionist looked at her with a questioning look and asked once more "Sorry mam. I didn't get you. Your phone?"

Xu Zhuya nodded her head repeatedly and said "Yes, Yes, I'm talking about my phone. You see I arrived over here today in the afternoon. So I was picked up by this driver and I saw some of my friends in the midway so I got out of the car to meet them, but I guess I forgot my phone in the car." She blurted out in one go.

The receptionist gave an understanding look and asked "Okay mam. I get the situation. But you are saying that you guess you might have lost it in the car. Are you sure you lost it in the car? It can be possible that you lost it after meeting with your friends or something like that?"

Xu Zhuya waved her hands and said "No, no, no. That's not true. I am not guessing it. I'm sure about it actually. When I went to meet my friends I looked inside the purse and there was no phone in it. In the car, I called some friend of mine and then kept it in my hand. I remember keeping it beside me but not in my bag. So I'm sure that I might have left it in my car."

The receptionist gave a sigh and said "Alright mam. I just need your information, so that I can at least trust you that you are coming from an airport or something. I literally can't allow anyone to do a checkup on someone's car like that without any information. I hope you get me, mam?" The receptionist asked her with a questionable look on her face.

Xu Zhuya nodded then took out the ticket from her purse and showed it to her. The receptionist nodded at her and pointed at a place where some bags and suitcases were kept. Xu Zhuya looked at those bags and said "Wait! Those bags looks like mine." She went a little more closer and took a deep look "Yes, they indeed are mine."

The receptionist looked at her "Oh! So you are Xu Zhuya? Well, it's great. The driver had arrived just an hour before with the luggage, but we didn't place it in the room because it's our policy that the luggage and the person should go inside the room together, so that's why, we kept your luggage over here waiting for your return. Now that you have come I'll get it placed in your room."

She instructed a housekeeper to take her luggage and handed him a key. The housekeeper took it and went away. The receptionist turned to Xu Zhuya again and said "Alright mam. I'll take you to the cars place, so that you can meet up with the driver and check the car out for your phone, okay?? Please come this way, mam."

Xu Zhuya thanked her and the receptionist led the way. Xu Zhuya met the driver who had picked her up. She checked the car but she didn't find her phone. She started to panic. She was getting worried.

Then she remembered something... She turned and asked the driver "There was one more guy right? Where did he go? Do you know which room he went or something? He was sitting beside me, So I'm sure he might have seen it."

The driver nodded and said "Ahh yes, mam.. I know his name. It's Wu Yanchen. I'm sorry but I think you should ask the receptionist not me. Cause I don't know anything about the insides of the hotel." The driver scratched the back of his neck and gave a sheepish smile.

Xu Zhuya thanked him and ran inside to meet the receptionist.
