39 Chaos

Not long after that, three men came running towards him.

They are all dressed in black, and their features are serious and strong. The Haynes Family bodyguards are also abilities users, and this can be easily seen through the apparent energy emanating from their bodies.

Obviously, they used their abilities to get here at full speed, yet they were late. Rash had already killed the monster and was standing there alone. He looked at Nightmare to find him completely indifferent.

"Where is the creature..." the three shouted at once. One of them ran towards him to make sure he was safe and not exposed to any harm, while the other two searched around the place carefully.

Everything is quite tough, and the effects of the battle are still around. Blood stains were scattered on the wall, floor and metal bar, but there was no sign of the monster at all.

"He vanished without a trace..." Rash pretended he was a little tired, the expressions on his face showing some fear.

"..."

The three got alarmed upon hearing the information and felt there was something wrong, "Are you sure of what you saw..." Not like they did not believe him, but he is just a normal boy and the Gallus monsters cannot be predicted.

Rash looked at them with a confused look, then feigned so hard to remember everything, "This is what happened... when I was talking with Madame I noticed something strange here; It's turned out to be a monster in the shape of a normal dog. I beat it hard with the iron bar and it ran away from the pain... and disappeared into thin air."

The bodyguard who first approached Rash stretched out a holographic projector like a screen in front of him and started working on it promptly. Afterwords, he began a video call with some other people through his AI device, "An emergency. Make a complete preparation and search for a dog-like monster... Group one and two, protect the madame and the young master and little lady..." Then he directed the others from his own device. There were displeased expressions on their faces.

They have to catch the monster, whatever the consequence.

The disappearance of the monster without a trace does not mean it has returned from where it came. Rather, the first thing they thought of was that it had the ability to camouflage or something like that; or the worst, if it had teleportation.

Within a few minutes, Rash heard and saw many movements inside the house. He never expected the situation would develop this way at all.

However, he could not tell them he had already killed the monster, and that everything was fine.

Then, a bodyguard took him to the main house where he found the anxious Irina, carrying the little baby in her embrace. Angela was there too, although she is very strong herself, yet her priority is to protect her family.

Some maids were in the living room as well, and each of them was on high alert. Rash noticed that two of them were abilities users.

Everyone here is trained with great professionalism and knows what to do in all circumstances.

It was a big mess, and Rash regretted killing the monster and causing the atmosphere to muddle. Even the daily mission will be difficult to complete in this complex mode.

The lady heard what happened through her device, yet when Rash came, he noticed a troubled look in her eyes. He sighed in his heart and then smiled slightly, "I told you I would be fine…" which made Irina respond with another smile as well.

Angela and everyone were staring at him blankly, some of them surprised, others shocked and astonished. In the house the weakest person is Rash after Larry of course, however, when the monster appeared he was the first person he confronted it to protect the lady, and then here he is standing in front of them completely fine.

Everyone got a simple description for the beast from Lady Irina, but it is impossible to tell its level just by this. Not only that, even if he was just a normal dog, there is no confirmation of Rash's ability to get out safely in a direct fight with it, but what Irina described is that Rash could stop it in some way, even beat it!

Angela gave him a complicated look. On the one hand, she is still depressed by her knowing of his condition. On the other hand, in spite of everything she has done to him, still he was the one that protected her mother again.

And now he's behaving very normally, as if nothing had threatened his life.

Rash spotted the complex look on her face as their eyes met each other. Angela pretended to look at the other side, which made Rash sneer to himself, "What a girl..."

....

"Did you find the real reason for the monster to appear here?" As everything calmed down, Rash sat on the sofa in the middle of the living room with the rest. He closed his eyes and asked Nightmare.

He wanted to know exactly if it is just a coincidence or if something is wrong. Because it might not be as simple in the next one.

Nightmare knew the boy would ask him this question from the start, but still he shook his head forcefully, "No... there are so many possibilities that I can't put them into a small number. The closest thing is that what happened was just a coincidence."

Rash didn't believe him, 'Really? Even with your own capabilities, you're unable to know this?'

Nightmare felt that he had no choice but to tell him what he had come up with, even if it would not help much: "besides what I said, I can suspect three other possibilities: First: Perhaps Mrs. Irina was the problem, and she attracts monsters as she witnessed the two attacks. Second: The safe you took. It may also be a cause, although this does not explain the first incident. Third: You may be the problem by yourself. Despite everything, it is not possible to predict the behavior of the Gallus monsters and their nature."

Rash listened carefully, but didn't think the latter option made sense either. In the first confrontation, the monster left him and ran towards Mrs. Irina.

When he thought about it this way he opened his eyes and expressed to Mrs. Irina, "Sorry... but can I know exactly how many times have you been attacked by monsters?"

His surprising question stopped the discussion of mother and daughter. They were browsing a fashion magazine in the room while putting the little baby between them. Irina gave him an inquiring look but answered honestly, "In the past it happened and I saw some of them, but they didn't attack me personally. However, those are the only two incidents that I encountered recently... Do you think there is something?"

"I'm not sure…" Rash said, "But I think the monsters appearance are a little strange, so I was thinking maybe something is attracting them towards you… Therefore, you better not be alone too much in the future." His words made both of them frown.

"Or maybe you are the reason...?" At that moment, as if Angela did not like his analysis, or she did not want to accept the truth. She quickly replied with her lovely voice, "Although my mother was attacked by two monsters, you were there either case, and you were attacked by the shark in the river as well." It meant he was the biggest cause.

Rash noticed that the girl appeared a little different this time, and she didn't act as arrogant as before. Of course, it will not change in a moment.

He gave her a quick glance and then nodded, "This is also possible… But you know, the first monster appeared in front of me exactly about three meters away, yet it ran and went toward your mother, who was on the other street."

He just wanted to warn her before any emergency that would occur. Irina did a lot for him, and she is the first person to treat him kindly, and he does not want to see her exposed to any harm.

"To make it short... I think it is appropriate to investigate the matter further. Ask Mr. Joshua and his wife if they might find a suitable solution." Rash suggested to the lady.

Irina gave him an okay expression. She was thinking the same thing, but her anxiety was not just for herself. She started worrying about the boy too.

Then Rash stood up and stretched out a little, "Uh... I'll be up then... I think there's no need to worry too much now..."

Irina wanted to say something to stop him, but she knows that he does not like being very bound by others. She gave a hint to one housemaid to watch and protect him if something happened. Although Rash noticed her, he said nothing and left calmly.

...

That day passed peacefully, without the guards finding anything at all. Of course, the dog's corpse is still in Rash's Inventory.

Last night, he pulled the stigma from the monster, and left the body there until finding a suitable place to dispose of it.

At first when he saw the monster, he thought his ability was somewhat like hardening the body, enhancing vitality and defense, which made him excited to get it. However, it surprised him to find he was wrong. Because he got "chaos stigma" instead.

Rash didn't mind anyway and installed the Stigma to get a new skill "Chaos"

.....

<Chaos: Stigma Skill (2/3) ~ Level 1>

<Description: Active Stigma skill. You will have the ability to defect target parts and change its shape. The skill requires contact with the target directly or by using one of your other skills.>

<Conditions of Use: MP: 30>

<Stigma skill cannot be changed until a full day has passed.>

.....

Seeing how weak the three-legged dog was, compared to the puppet monster, made Rash underestimate the skill too much. But Nightmare told him it was very good only because the monster was still weak and that it was not suitable for fighting yet.

Rash put his finger on the bathroom wall, and he activated the skill. And as if the wall had turned into a paste, and his finger sank in as he pushed more and more.

He could even write something on the wall quite easily.

He did not try it much because he was afraid of being discovered by the bodyguards in the house. After he restored the wall, he went out and slept early that night.

...

In the morning he got up very early and prepared himself to leave for college.

He went down to the first floor to find Mrs. Irina already on the table with everything prepared. Although the boy said nothing and all he did was a brief nod to greet her, she did not mind and ran towards him upon seeing him, and asked, "How did you sleep your first night yesterday... I hope that the issue of the monster did not disturb your comfort..." Irina was more lively today, she adjusted his clothes gently and made sure he forgot nothing. Just like a mother worried about her boy on his first day at school.

Rash wanted to laugh at her behavior. 'Not that I'm young, or that this was my first time in college,' He was a student there from the beginning. But he didn't stop Irina's excessive interest and let her do as she pleased, "It was the greatest night in my life..."

He was not lying, other than the great comfort the plush bed provided, he also got a new skill as well.

Irina felt pleasant to hear that, too. She put her hand in her pocket and took out a small card and gave it to him, "Take this... this is your ID card, I have readied it for you. Currently, with it, you can enter and leave the area unobstructed. I put a little money into your balance if you need anything too."

Rash stared wide eyes when he heard about the money, but he acted steadfast and showed nothing. Days ago, he was wreaking his brain to find a way to get money out of the safe, but as long as the lady gave him a little, he would not need to do that for some time.

Of course, he didn't know how much Mrs. Irina had given him, but he would be happy even with $100. He took the card and put it in his inner pocket, and at the same time he stored it in inventory.

The card now has great value in his eyes, and he cannot allow it to be lost in any case.

"Thank you, ma'am... You helped me a lot ..." But Irina interrupted him straight up by putting her finger on his mouth, "hush... You deserve it all, so stop thanking me every time..."

Irina wants to give him more hope and confidence, not just because he saved her life. And after observing him for several days, she knows that he is not what everyone describes; he is just an unlucky boy.
