9 Chapter 9

'The Stalker'

I was busy in my thought. At a moment I feel that someone was following me, I turn back and saw there was no one. Suddenly my phone rang I saw that it was Roy's message, there was written "Have you reached home?" I replied- "No. On the way to home." Roy- "Message me when you reach your home." I sent a sticker with okey sign.

I continue to walk on my way, I again got a strong feel that there is someone behind me. I started to walk fast without looking back. Suddenly I saw dad's car coming from the front. Dad stop the car when he saw me walking in the road. And open the car's door. I turn back I saw that there was no one. At that movement I thought that I am the one who was over thinking it. Dad call me and ask me what happened and told me to sit in the car. In the car dad asked me about the birthday party, he said "Did you have fun with your friends?" I said "Yes, I did have. We all played games the whole time....." I started to explain dad about the fun we have in Shivangi's place. While talking to dad we reach home. My brother was there like a sloth and the whole house was in bad condition. I shouted after watching that horrible scenery "What.....Did you.....Did the whole house!!" he didn't answered. Dad entered the house and saw that everything was here and there, the whole house was like garbage. He came near him and stand in front of him and didn't say a word just stared at him with a devil look. He understood that if he continues like this then his condition is going to get worse.

He stands up and started putting things in their right place. He looks at me like he wanted a helping hand, I said to him in a low voice "Wait a minute, I will come after changing my dress and help you." I came back after changing and helped him to do those work fast. I went back to my room to sleep as it was a long day. I was going through my phone, then I remembered that I haven't replied yet to Roy. I started to type, a message came from him- "In home?" I said "Yes, just got home. I am feeling tired today. Good night." Roy- "Bye, Good night. Rest well." I answered with an emoji of sleeping.

Next morning, I leave home for college. I saw there was a cat under the sign board of Kolkata law institute, I came forward and gave him some snacks. As my dad is a Veterinary Surgeon, I always have some animal snacks with me. Actually, I love animals and they are also cute. I was busy chatting with that cat.

Roy came from behind and said "Good morning, Tanisha." I turned after hearing his voice. His face was only 1 inch away from mine. Seeing him so close, I backed down a bit and because it was rough there, I was just about to fall when he grabbed me and pulled me towards him. In any case, I was saved from falling but my heart started beating too much. I step back properly and stand straight. I said "Thanks. Good morning." Roy with a bright smile in his face "Welcome. Did you sleep well yesterday?" I said "Yeah." We went on talking all the way to class. Slowly-slowly while talking to him, I started becoming comfortable around him.

When I was going back home that day, I again feel like someone was following me. It didn't stop after that day, every day whenever I am on my way home there was someone following me. I notice that very much and started to keep emergency things with me to protect myself.

After few days, I saw there was no one following me. My life became peaceful again.

One day after class ended, I decided to go to the library. It was 18:54, when I was going back to home, I saw clearly that someone was following me from the bus stop. I was scared and can't understand what to do. I decided to pretend to call someone and said "OH! You are in front of the 'Unicorn Coffee Shop'. I am nearby there, I am passing by from the 'Sree hair salon.'" I continue to walk as I didn't know that someone was behind me. A few minutes later, I came across the coffee shop. I went inside there and sitting there, I started waiting so that person could go. That person's face was covered totally and I can't see that who it was, he went somewhere after watching me for almost 30 minutes non-stop. When I realize that it is the right time to run, I take a taxi from the front of the Cafe and went direct home without looking back.

'Things Tanisha Is Not Aware'

When texting with Tanisha ended, Roy was thinking "why I get in a bad mood when she rejected my offer? I don't know what am I thinking now-a-days. Whatever it is, I don't care." While thinking all these he suddenly started to smile, Vipin was passing by and saw a sight he had never seen before, Roy was smiling in his thought. He came near and asked "Something good happened?" Roy who was in his dreamland "Hmm..." Vipin: "I see." Roy came out of his dreamland and saw that Vipin was passing by while laughing at him. He feels embarrassed and slap himself.

At The Unicorn Café- When the stalker came back and saw Tanisha getting up in the taxi. He got a call, he answered it "Yes, mam. I am continuously following her. Mam, I think she had noticed that I'm following her. What should I do mam? Shall I continue follow her?" On the other side of the call "Oh My! Okey. it's okey for today. Let her adapt this fear slowly-slowly. Let's end it here today. Bring me her today's details by tomorrow. I wanna see how good life is she living. Hehehehahaha...!" the person who was following Tanisha "Okey, Swan Lady."

After the phone ended, the lady picks up the photo of Tanisha which was in the table in front of her. While looking at the photo she smiles and said "After all these years I have found you. It's our reunion time, lady Sophia."
