1 Chapter 1: Never ending suffering

I'm face first in a wooden pole, my body is ruined and my blood is slowly filling the area around me. I did my job, I protected my owner, he's alive, but barely. I scream for help in the silence of the night, the lights go on in the dwellings that owners live in.

Some time afterwards more of my kind show up with their owners. Their owners pull my owner out of me and strap him on a padded board with wheels and put him in the back of one my kind. He's different from me, he has lights on top of him to announce his presence to others so they get out of his way. I've seen them around the area my owner lives in and even he had to get out of their way. They always go to a massive building with a red emblem where owners go to feel better, so I know my owner will be safe. I did my job, I protected my owner, even called for help. I know they will keep my owner alive and safe.

I notice all my blood on the ground, I'm tired and my screaming stopped a while ago. My body won't move without my owner so I'm stuck until he comes back for me. The other owners aren't leaving, they throw sand on my blood and keep saying they need to move me. Some of my kind stare at me not flinching or moving, until another shows up with yellow lights on top. His owner pulls out a string and attaches it to my body, I hear I high pitched whine and I start moving towards the one with yellow lights. I'm tired and scared but my owner will be back he always come back.

********************

I come to, in an unfamiliar area, I'm still broken, but there are others like me. This must be a place like the one the owners go to with the red emblem. I think I'll be ok, I just have to wait. Some time goes by, my owners friend comes, she says that she has to go through me to see if there is anything of value. She opens me up, I can feel her opening the same things my main owner opens up when the one with lights on top of them want to talk to him. She closes what my owners call a door and says that she has what she needed. She leaves but she will tell my owner where I am. He'll come for me, he always comes back for me.

********************

Time has gone by and the ones around me fill me in on what this place is. It's not like the red emblem place that the owners go to, but a place where we get left and then owners come to pick at us. They say that we get slowly picked apart until there is nothing left. I wanted to believe that it wasn't true but the evidence was all around me. Worst was that people started to pick me apart, first it was the insides but slowly it moved to the outside of my body. My owner will replace what was taken from me, he will fix me. My owner will come back for me, he always come back for me.

***********************

I've given up hope, I'm slowly losing my body, and worst of all my body is starting to deteriorate from an unknown illness that slowly starts to eat away at me. I don't think my owner is coming back for me, my owner has abandoned me.

***********************

I know now that there's no getting out of this, I don't want to accept this, slowly getting picked apart is what I can only assume what my owner called hell. This has to be hell, I don't know what else this place could be called.

*************************

I don't know how long it has been, I'd like to think it hasn't been that long but the disease has spread more, this is a horrible existence. I don't want this anymore, I don't want to be here, I really wish I could die but there are others far worse than me who are still alive. This truly must be hell. I did my job, I protected my owner, why is this happening? What else was I supposed to do?

*****************

I see two strange owners in front of me, they stare at me, looking me over to see what they can take from me. I know I don't have much left, hopefully they will take the part that keeps me alive. I can only hope they know where it is.

"You can't be serious Tim." Mark said as he was looking over the heap of junk they were both staring at. "

What's wrong with this?" Tim said as he was imagining the possibility that this car was capable of.

Both of them looking over the car had different opinions but Tim was the one who's opinion actually mattered. As they walked over to the junkyard office Mark was desperately trying to talk Tim out of what he was about to do.

As Tim walked through the front door of the office he had a massive smile on his face, he looked the junkyard owner in the eye and asked if any of the cars were for sale. The owner looked away from the tablet he was holding and said " Anything is for sale for the right price son." After some haggling from the both of them they settle on a price they both thought was fair. With a handshake and a smile Tim was now the owner of the car he had is sights on. All three of them walked to where the car was located and the junkyard owner looked at him and said " congratulations... now how are you gonna get it out of here?"
