9 Chapter 9 Timeskip & Meeting the Avengers

It's been over a year since Seth started working at the Xavier Institute and there are 5 months till the invasion and a lot has happened since then. Seth started his internship at the Baxter Building with the Fantastic Four he found that every bit of knowledge he read about the team and their knowledge in his past is perfectly ingrained in his brain.

So he is essentially smarter than the rest of the team, at least theoretically.

Apparently the Fantastic Four are following the movies to how they received their powers which is entirely more OP. Their bodies are saturated with Cosmic Energy, so they are supposedly more powerful than their comic book counterparts. In which they open a portal and are dosed with an energy I don't know.

****THE DAY OF THE COSMIC STORM****

Today is the day we are heading to The Von Doom Space Station. I am basically a member of their research team as they have tested my knowledge and have verified I can be useful. My plan is to take Ben's place so I get a more concentrated exposure to the cosmic rays from the storm I am curious to how my ability will manifest itself from the power of the storm and what differences Ben's powers will have now that he won't get the brunt of the rays.

Everything proceeds like the first movie except I am outside with the flowers and Ben and Johnny are walking me through it, the storm hits and they are surprised to see I don't move from the spot I plan to tell them I was just too shocked to move. I wake up in the same place from the movie and I'm trying to think about my powers since the knowledge isn't instinctually ingrained in my body like when I copy an ability.

Eventually, every one activates their ability and I decided to wait to copy their abilities until I figure out my own, after Reed sees what happened to everyone he took us back to the Baxter building to run some tests. everyone else has the same abilities, even Ben's seem the same but only time will tell out of everyone I seem to be the only one who hasn't shown any powers but I can feel something is different. Whenever I'm around specific minerals aluminium, marble/granite, steel, different types of gems, or even the metal used for the container to test Johnny's fire. I feel a sort of connection to them.

Then one day while Reed finally decided to test me and see if my DNA had been altered he was amazed to see that my genes had the ability to change and take on the form of something else, at first I thought it was related to my copy ability or how I had adaptive physiology but then I started to feel like I was absorbing something and I started to feel cold I looked down at my hands that started tingling and I found that starting from the needle in my arm I am absorbing the properties of the metal of the needle and my entire body is transforming into the same metal....

["HOLY SHIT THE COSMIC STORM MADE ME AN OSMOSIAN!?!?!?!? "]

Reed was astonished and asked me a barrage of questions which I answered as best I could since my power is still untested. he asked me how it felt to turn metal and I explained that I instinctively knew what the needle was made from and that I don't believe I needed to be in contact with it more than once and I could turn it just by remembering how it felt while he transformed into that specific material.

["It seems that my new ability gets a decent boost from my copy ability"]

With the way Peter Petrelli's powers work, in order to use copied abilities he just has to remember how the person made him feel and it seems Seth's new ability is influenced in almost the same way. He has to remember how it felt to transform. and can do it with just a thought.

Ben runs away like in the movie. And the events on the bridge I let happen the same way. We eventually find that there actually was a change to Ben's ability, he now has the ability to turn his transformation on and off and he decided to stay in his rock form more often now that he knows he can change back but this still allowed him to get out of the relationship with his shallow ex-wife and ended up meeting Alisha who loved him just the same.

A few days pass and I have mastered my new ability as best as I could and chose to finally copy the Fantastic Four's abilities and spent the remainder of the month training my own and their abilities to prepare for the upcoming invasion.

I also plan to eventually create a team like the Justice League later but for now, until I'm known by more ordinary people when I have my superhero debut, I'll start to work on finding all the right people who have been overlooked in the MCU like The Defenders.

[I am almost ready for the invasion. I just need Vibranium for my suit to be finished.]

I gave Cortana a new job, she spent the last months on one task and one task only, to find one specific person, Klaue. Klaue has the vibranium I need for my suit. I might not kill him but I'll keep Batman's philosophy of beat near death or just kill em with Hospital bills hehe. Although I may change that philosophy and kill him anyways as he is a mass murderer.

Since I didn't have my suit ready yet I have created a temporary one for my more stealthy and brutal outings it essentially looks like the Ninja Gaiden suit from the third game except the hood has visors where the eyes are and I have them connected to Cortona so she can be my eyes. I have my arms covered using my ability have them covered with a sort of composite metal I created from the different metals I had on hand so it is lightweight yet also very tough and has a high melting point to protect from high heat in case i get caught in a fire or the heat from bullets as they impact my skin.

I can't use any of my more flashy powers, so after looking at old news reports and hacking into the Stark database, i gathered information from Howard Stark's younger days which wasn't protected like anything involving the current projects and operations of Tony, I ended up creating an advanced version of Howard Starks Gravitic Reversion Technology to create a mix between hover boots and some magnetic tech I created. Even though I can already stick to walls, I'd rather have a safety net just in case.

I am currently jumping around some buildings hovering along the roofs and utilizing what I called MagTech, to hover at fast speeds and jump from building to building as i make my way down towards the coast. (Think hover boots from Ratchet & Clank) the ship is located in an area off the coast of South Africa so i was glad that my hover boots worked on the water. I was on my way to the Salvage Yard where Ulysses Klaue is hiding my vibranium on his ship "The Churchill"

I won't take all of it, just enough to create my suit. I still need a peace offering for the Wakandans. I had Cortana search the facial recognition database as well as police records for every one of Klaue's lackeys. They are all murderers and rapists, I won't spare any of them except for Klaue to face justice in Wakanda.

I think I may be a sociopath after reading the police report of what ended up being called 'The massacre at the Salvage Yard.' All the dead were found with their throats slit and their eyes ripped out, their dicks were cut off and shoved down their throats and their balls became their new eyeballs but they deserved it in my opinion.

The reporter on the story said that it seemed like the work of a "righteous" person who found out that all those murdered were rapists so he wanted to send a message to all those who have done or plan to do the same.

I have kept Klaue in one of my Storage Facilities that I bought through various shell companies and I have never visited it before, so even shield doesn't know about it. Sometime after the invasion is over I will bring him to Wakanda along with the stolen vibranium if i have time. I have Klaue hooked up like a coma patient being fed through tubes and a sedative every 30 minutes which is more than he deserves.

I should've just let him starve but this'll have to do. With my vibranium, the first thing I did was absorb the metal and transform like Colossus, covered in pure shiny metal vibranium I then turn off and on the transformation multiple times until it is instant and then use the vibranium to help finish my suit. It took about a month and a half to finish incorporating the vibranium into my suit. (Suit looks very similar to the experimental Jedi Armor from The Force Unleashed II)

I even added a color changer like in Captain Marvel to change to whatever color I want. And I added a voice modulator to sound just like Star Killer and decided it was finally time to make myself known as a superhero. The debut of Apex, as all my abilities are from others I am an evolved form of them and I will make sure to do them proud.

Apex/Seth decided make himself known to the world, bit by bit until he found the big crime that get him recognized by S.H.I.E.L.D so he can join their fight against the invasion without issues. He used a combination of his powers as well as his tech to fly through the city stopping muggings, car jackings, store robberies and even stopped a few fires.

And it didn't take long till there was a hostage situation where around 30 people where tied up and had 10 lbs of C4 attached to each of them and were attached to a dead man switch so there was only one option the guy holding the switch had to be incapacitated in a way that made him unable to activate the switch.

While the man's associates were at the bank vault trying to get in, Apex showed up at the scene at first the cops all aimed their weapons at him, but a fireman that he saved as well as a few officers who were saved by him in the past in what would've been a drive by, stuck up for him. And after a couple of conversations with their superiors, and the Chief of the officers present came up to him.

"I need you to end this now"

Apex nodded and then disappeared right before their eyes they thought he flew up then they saw the door to the bank open and Apex walk in the leader of the robbers saw him standing there

"So you're the guy who's been going around saving people. You put ten of my guys behind bars stopping my drug business so now you're going to help me make my money back"

"How do you figure that? " Apex responded.

The leader then says "There's 10 lbs of C4 strapped to each one of them I have them all connected to this dead man's switch, if my thumb comes off it we all get blown sky high."

Apex smirks at that although you can't see through his helmet and says "There is no way you are going to be able to activate it"

Apex then uses Invisible Woman's power to create a force field under his thumb to keep the pressure continuously on the switch

"There, I believe you should surrender now."

The leader responds "I warned you" and takes his thumb off the switch all the hostages gasp and close their eyes tight waiting for death but after ten seconds look up and see they are fine.

The leader was confused "How? I took my thumb off."

"I am currently using my power to keep the pressure on the switch, speaking of which I'll take that."

Apex then creates a visible field around the switch and rips it from the criminal leader's hand and uses his Bio-Electricity to stun all the robbers and free the hostages. All the hostages run outside and head to the bomb squad while I hand the trigger switch to the chief and say

"Keep the pressure on. It's connected to the C4."

The chief nods and then I start to fly away he turns and shouts "Wait what's your name!"

"Apex" I say back, then flew away.

All that happened a week ago and I was doing my patrol around the city when I see a chopper land on a roof near me and Samuel "Motherfucking" Jackson walks out and nods towards me while pointing his thumb behind him. I understand what he means and land on the roof across from Nick Fury.

He looks at me and says "So nice to finally meet you, Apex"

"Likewise Nick Fury"

"I see you already know who I am, then I guess you know why I am here?"

"You want me to join your organization, but that's not going to happen. I don't like S.H.I.E.L.D, too many secrets."

"No not S.H.I.E.L.D, just come meet me at my Helicarrier and I'll explain everything."

"Very well, lead the way."

Fury gets in the chopper and starts to fly I follow him in the air and have Cortana hack into the chopper's communications and start to talk with Fury.

AN:{ } this will show conversations over Comms

{Hey Fury, what exactly do you want me to do at this Helicarrier?}

{How did you...?}

{I had my A.I. hack into your comms.}

{Great sigh.... another Stark. look I just want you to meet some people I won't be forcing you into anything.}

{Fine, but if I don't like what I hear I'm gone. you get me?}

{Yeah I understand, we're coming up on the Helicarrier right now so we'll talk inside.}

Fury and Apex land on the carrier and Fury steps out the chopper and turns to Apex. "Follow me." Apex just nods and follows him inside. Inside at the round table from the movie I see some of the OG avengers Captain America, Black Widow, and Bruce Banner.

The meeting follows the movie until I walk in with Fury. Cap looks over at Fury

"Who's that?"

"An enhanced, he's agreed to meet you all and talk."

Cap gets up and walks to Apex "Nice to meet you I'm Ca..."

Apex interrupts "I know who you are Captain America, you are a living legend I'm glad I get to meet you."

Apex says as he finally takes off his helmet, using Mystique's power changed his face to make it look like Star Killer. This is all done to protect his identity as CEO of McCauley Tech.

"Name's Apex, but I suppose you can call me Galen."

Cap nods and looks to Bruce who then walks over and shakes Apex's hand

"Nice to meet you Galen, was it?"

"Nice to meet you as well Dr Banner, your work on anti electron collisions is unparalleled"

Bruce is a little surprised since Apex looked like a man in his mid twenties and he didn't know Apex was a scientist.

"You know about my work? I didn't know there was someone so young in the scientific field that I hadn't met."

Apex nods and says "Well, I'm something of a scientist myself. Although I have researched a number of fields, I don't have a particular specialty so i can be of help in most situations."

"Ahh I see well it's good to have you on board."

In the next second, much to the astonishment of the others Apex uses his nanites and changes his suit to a white version of his Ninja Gaiden suit. Bruce asked what he just did and Apex responded casually

"Nanites, I got them from McCauley Tech. I saved the CEO's life and asked for a housing unit for nanoparticles as a gift. it's actually quite cutting edge"

"That's amazing" Bruce said

The group continued to talk about how they would go about tracking Loki when Apex interrupted "He's in Germany, I had my A.I. running facial recognition on every CCTV since Fury found me and I looked through the files he gave me. I got a 98% match."

Just after Apex said that Maria Hill interjected "Yes, he's right we just got a hit on facial recognition. He's in Stuttgart Germany"

Fury looked over and said "Captain, You're up"

But Apex chimed in "Actually, I'd like to bring Loki in Sir. After all I have enhanced strength and speed and I'd like to see where i land on the power scale."

Apex, who had already absorbed the metal on Cap's shield transformed like he did when he encountered Klaue except it was the same metal as the shield, Proto-adamantium.

Fury nodded and said "Alright we'll treat this as a way to test your abilities, let's see what you got"

The events happened just like the movie until it got to where the old man stood up and instead of Cap it was Apex who blocked the shot. Loki was shocked because he had no idea who he was and treated him as a possible threat since he didn't know his abilities. The fight was entirely different from the movie because from beginning to end Apex had the upper hand and knocked him down and used a disk gadget he thought of after he created the MagTech which made him stick to the floor (reminiscent of Starlord's gadget) and Loki couldn't get up just like what happened when Thor had put Mjolnir on him in the first Thor movie.

Stark showed up, surprised the fight was already over but still activated his weapons and looked at Loki "Your move reindeer games" Loki then gave up and Apex released the MagTech and the disk flew back to him and attached to his suit which made Stark give him a weird look but then just turned thinking ["I'll have to ask about that later."]

On the Quinjet heading back to the Helicarrier Apex had changed back into his armor which Tony saw change in front of him. Tony is barraging Apex with questions about his suit and the cutting edge nanite tech that his suit was using. He was able to tell Apex was using nanites through Jarvis.

Apex explained the same thing he said to everyone. Tony, who is still standing trying to figure out the tech that he can see on his boots and my Armor and says "Did you create that suit yourself?"

"Yes, it is made from a couple composite compounds I combined as well as using the nanites I was given by McCauley Tech."

["I might as well promote my own company while I'm at it hehe."]

Tony looks shocked "Nanites, that's some pretty advanced stuff and you said you got em from McCauley Tech?"

"Yes, I saved Mr. McCauley from one of those suit wearing maniacs always attacking that spider guy. To show his gratitude he asked what I wanted and all I asked for was a housing for Nanoparticles to use with my suit and he agreed I'm actually pretty tech savvy so I was able to reverse engineer the technology to an extent and make changes."

Tony and I then spent talking about different technology and future plans of Stark industries until what looked like a lightning storm that came out of nowhere Interrupted us.

Loki looked nervous and Steve who was letting Apex and Stark talk asked "What, afraid of a little lightning?" Loki responds "I'm not overly fond of what follows" then we hear a thud which I already know is Thor, the back of the jet opens and Thor appears and grabs Loki getting ready to fly off.

Tony tries to stop him like the movie but instead I get in front and let myself get hit with Mjolnir so I can absorb the Uru metal and transform under my armor multiple times to get used to the feeling of transforming before fully covering himself and his armor. Everyone is shocked when they see Apex get covered by a metal they have never seen before, but Cap gets over his shock pretty quickly and looks to Natasha who asked "Another Asgardian?"

Cap then asked "That guy's a friendly?"

Stark then gets up. "Doesn't matter, if he frees Loki or kills him the tesseract's lost" Stark then starts to walk to the exit of the jet but I stop him.

"I got this, but you can help and grab Cap as backup"

"Wait we need a plan of attack" Cap Says.

When Apex spoke his voice sounded like the vibrated voice of the flash, he steals Tony's line and says "I have a plan, attack" then flew out.

Loki and Thor's conversation happens like the movie and I slam into him launching him into the forest "What in God's name are you?"

"I am one of the good guys we need Loki to locate the tesseract"

Thor attempted to shoot lightning at Seth and the lightning is just absorbed and made his form look slightly brighter for a second before it died down.

Thor realizes that lightning wouldn't work on me so he just slammed Mjolnir on me and I raise my hand and it causes a reverberating echo and just say "You done? "

Back on the Helicarrier

Apex and the rest have the conversation about Loki. Then Cap asked Thor what Loki wanted Thor says "He has an army they are called the Chitauri, they are not of Asgard or any world known." The conversation continues just like the movie and finally everyone goes about finding the tesseract.
