12 Chapter 12 The Invasion Part III
Tony looked at his map interface on his HUD and said to the others in the jet.
{Swing up Park I'll lay em out for you.}
While the Quinjet was on it's way towards Tony, Apex spoke over the coms.
{I added a little surprise to the weapons system press the white button on the side of the control panel.}
Nat pressed the white button and what was once a gatling gun was now an assortment of rockets lasers and stun bullets made with Apex's lightning generator. The lasers were made by incorporating Apex's nanites with his powers he got from Johnny Storm and allowed for high energy bullets that could turn the ships to ash. Apex then said
{You can shoot the same and all the controls to shoot are the same but now corresponding to the new weaponry.} Nat then saw the Chitauri chasing Tony and shot the laser gatling gun at the passing Chitauri and it turned the entirety of them and their ships to ash.
Nat was shocked and thought to herself [I like this, I have to see if Apex will make me a pistol with similar capabilities.]
After taking care of some of the Chitauri on the way to Stark Tower they showed up in the skies near Stark Tower and saw Loki and Thor fighting and Nat started shooting the laser gun at Loki. Loki wasn't expecting the ship to have such destructive capability so he actually didn't want to block the bullets and instead dodged them and shot the turbine of the Quinjet causing the jet to fall while spinning almost uncontrollably.
Apex saw this and used The Hulk's ability, along with Johnny's, and flew over to the jet and grabbed it and set it down in the spot from the movie safely and flew back to the portal and threw fireballs towards the Chitauri he missed and started attacking those coming from the portal again.
After Apex saw a leviathan heading towards the portal from the other side he knew that their would be civilians still in the buildings so he said to Cortana {Cortana, activate Operation Magneto.}
Just then, before the leviathan even exited the portal, a bunch of MagTech disks designed to specifically pull Chitauri metal towards it left the armor of the Hardlight Holos and shot towards all the buildings and any points above ground in the surrounding area. [This should keep those damn bastards out of the buildings.]
(On the ground with the destroyed Quinjet) ***

Cap helps Nat and Clint to get out the Quinjet and then they head to the middle of the street and Cap says "We need to get back up there" Then they here a sort of metallic groaning then they saw the leviathan come out of the portal and it started flying through the city.
It passed above the other's heads and they saw foot soldiers launched off the leviathan and right when it looked like they were going to land on the buildings, what looked like a bunch of Apex's MagTech activated and pulled the Chitauri soldiers every which way whether it was stuck to a wall, lamppost, stoplight, or even the buildings themselves and they were stuck and struggling.
Cap was confused about this and just when he was going to ask, Apex said over coms {I placed my MagTech all over the city using my hard light Holos and I'm flying around to take care of the ones stuck throughout the city. Take care of the ones near you.}

Thor and Loki back at Stark Tower) ********
Loki was enraged because he could wager a guess that it was that damned guy who he thought he had fought that helped Thor become more powerful. He had knowledge that he should not have had, that much was obvious from their first meeting and apparently he continues to thwart his plans. Loki was already under the impression that he had something to do with why he didn't hear about their floating fortress that was supposed to crash. Loki hated him so much but still believed he would win.
He continued his fight with Thor and saw it wasn't going his way so he leapt off the tower and landed on a Chitauri ship, deciding to take the destruction of the city into his own hands. He headed into the city using the lasers to attack the ground and cause as much chaos as possible.

(On the streets of New York) ********
Steve, Nat, and Clint used their Arrows, Pistols, and NanoShields, to take out the Chitauri stuck with the MagTech, then they heard the sound, It was Loki flying on one of the Chitauri chariots destroying everything in his path.
He flew over them and saw that someone needed to take care of him but Apex was busy taking care of as many Chitauri at the portal which was already making their job easier, they were stuck in the streets taking care of all the Chitauri that Apex missed, While Tony is trying to take care of the leviathan.
Steve saw the destruction and knew that even with Apex's hard light Holos there'd still be people stuck in the buildings so he decided to try and save as many as he could and asked if Nat and Clint could hold the Chitauri soldiers off for the time being.
They said yes and Steve rushed towards the police to try and get some help with the evacuation of civilians. He went over to New York's finest and after showing them that he can definitely take care of the Chitauri they listened to him and agreed to help with saving more civilians.
Steve headed back to Nat and Clint just in time to knock some soldiers away from Nat. Thor showed up shortly after and told them that there was a force field protecting the cube.
Then Steve turned at the sound of a motorcycle and saw Bruce had come back. Bruce looked embarrassed and said "I'm sorry for running. But every time I change, I hurt people and I didn't want that anymore. But I can't stand by and do nothing knowing that I can help."
He then looked around and said "So, this all seems horrible"
Apex just then landed near them and said "I've seen worse."
Bruce looked at him and said "Sorry."
Apex shook his head and said "No, we could use a little worse."
Cap says to Tony that Bruce was back and Tony said {Then tell him to suit up, I'm bringing the party to you.}
Tony rounded the corner with the leviathan following him right towards the group of heroes and Cap said his line which had Bruce say "That's my secret captain, I'm always angry." and he transformed and punched the leviathan causing it to go end over end and was about to hit the group but Apex 'Flamed On' launched a torrent of flames and turned it to dust before it could hit them.
Tony looked at Apex and said "Why didn't you do that before? "
Apex had to lie. "I didn't know I could, But now that I do, I'll take care of any big guys and leave the small fry's to you."
"Alright, sounds good." The scene from the movie with them all in a circle repeated itself and internally, Apex was totally geeking out that he was part of such an epic scene.
(Loki flying through the city)***

"Hmph, Send the rest"
The portal showed multiple leviathans heading out and into the city. Since Apex's job was already decided he just looked towards Steve and said "I got them."
Apex continued to fly through the city turning every leviathan to ash including the soldiers hitching a ride on em and made sure to destroy and debris in the city as he flew around so as to not have The Vulture be created and those high tech weapons to be sold. Mostly because he never liked that part of the movie where Stark's people took their jobs and I will ensure it doesn't happen like that and I will have all the non-government clean-up crews work below me so there will be no chance of them losing their jobs
Apex flew throughout the city and just for fun tried to see if he could see the Avengers from the future appear but I guess time is weird and with me joining the Avengers there is a possibility it won't happen the same way especially if Thanos finds out I am the biggest threat to him he may keep me far off world so I can't stop him but by that time we'll see if he can stop me.
(Nat and Steve on a bridge)********

They saw the army of Chitauri that seemed endless even with Apex taking out most of them so they realized they had to shut the portal.
Cap looked at Nat and said " If you wanna get up there you're gonna need a ride."
It looked like Nat was gonna say something but Apex showed up and said "She's got one."
He then held out his hand and said "How bout it."
Nat looked sort of relieved and said "Sure, it's definitely a lot better than my idea."
Apex then grabbed her in a force field and brought her to the Tower. Both Nat and Steve were shocked at yet another ability Apex had showcased and decided that once this was all over they'd have a talk with him about it.

(Steve on the bridge)
Steve had just taken care of a Chitauri soldier when Clint said over coms
{Captain, The bank on 42nd past Madison they've cornered a lot of civilians in there.}
{I'm on it.}
Apex then said over the coms {I'll send some of my Holos to meet you.}

(The Bank on 42nd)
Steve jumped through the window just as one of the Chitauri soldiers was going to put what looked like a futuristic C4 charge on one of the pillars. He immediately threw his shield and knocked the charge out of their hand and then activated his NanoShield to block the lasers from the other Chitauri.
He then thought to himself [Man, Apex was right I am always dropping my shield maybe he and Stark can whip something up to fix that.] with the HoloShield he was able to take three Chitauri soldiers out easily.
When the fourth ran towards the Charge that was beeping increasingly quicker he threw the NanoShield at him and knocked him out the window and grabbed the metal shield and put it on top of the charge. It exploded and smoke was coming out from under the shield the ground had cracked as well and Steve fell to the ground floor

(Helicarrier Main Conference Room)
Fury was having a conversation with the council.
"Director Fury, the council has made a decision."
"I recognize the council has made a decision, but given that it's a stupid ass decision I have elected to ignore it."
"Director, You're closer than any if our subs. You scramble that jet....."
"That is the island of Manhattan Councilman. Until I'm certain my team can't hold it I will not order a nuclear strike against a civilian population."
"If we don't hold them here we lose everything."
"I send that Bird out we already have."

(Back in the City)
Apex was flying through the city when a laser shot past him. He turned around and saw Loki on a Chitauri ship and said "Oh, it's you. Hmph let's see if you can keep up." Apex then used The Human Torches Power and took off. He was flying at a speed of Mach 4 and climbing and he could see Loki falling behind and then he turned around long enough to see Hawkeye shoot an exploding arrow at Loki who caught it with a look of pure disdain and mockery the the arrow exploded launching Loki towards Stark tower.
Apex then flew and smacked Loki even harder and sent him through the glass. Loki wasn't scared when Apex started running at him and shouted
"Enough, you are all of you beneath me. I am a God and I will not be bullied by...."
Apex didn't have time for this so he immediately grabbed Loki by the Throat and lifted him off the ground much like Thanos did in Infinity War. He pulled him close and whispered in Loki's ear "I could have killed you whenever I wanted, but I thought I'd let you suffer first."
He then dropped him just in time to see Hulk come smashing through and he grabbed Loki and smashed him every which way on the ground and then walked away saying
"Puny God."
[Man, such a Bada$$ line. I can't believe it was Hulk who said it.]

(The top of Stark Tower)
Apex had already dropped Nat off at the top a while ago and she looked around trying to figure the machine out. At that exact moment Dr. Selvig looked over.
"The Scepter. Loki's Scepter. The energy. The Tesseract can't fight, but you can't protect against yourself."
"It's not your fault, you didn't know what you were doing."
"Actually, I think I did. I built in a safety to cut their power source."
Nat had a look of realization and said "Loki's Scepter."
"It may be able to close the portal." Dr. Selvig then looks down and says "And I'm looking right at it."

{Director Fury, is no longer in command. Override order 7-Alpha-1-1.}
{7-Alpha-1-1 Confirmed, we're go for take-off.}

(Helicarrier Bridge)
Fury's Second in command Maria hill looked on the security monitors and saw the jet preparing for take-off and turned to Fury and said "Sir, we have a bird in motion." Fury immediately left for the Deck to stop the bird carrying out the order of death. Hill continued and said over coms
{Anyone on deck we have a rogue bird, we have to shut it down. Repeat, take-off is not authorized.}
Fury headed up top and repeated what he did in the movie to try to take out the jet but didn't realize there were two jets.
I had Cortana monitoring SHIELD'S communications and I found out that they were going to launch the nuke. I knew I couldn't stop it without leaving the Chitauri to wreak more havoc but I'll at least kill the pilot who actually launched the nuke because anyone who would launch the nuke at a civilian population without care, doesn't deserve to live.
Before Tony found out about the nuke I flew as fast as I could which was near Superman's level because I could use Invisible Woman's power to virtually eliminate wind resistance and I saw the nuke launched, avoided the rocket and flew to the Jet and while being covered in all rock like how the Sentinel looked in Days Of Future Past. Apex ripped the jet apart and grabbed the pilot and slowly burned him to death.

(Nat and Dr. Selvig at the Top of Stark Tower)
Nat had just gotten Loki's Scepter and brought it to the machine. Dr. Selvig pointed to the machine and said "Right at the crown."
Nat then took the Scepter and started to breach the barrier surrounding the machine and said {I can close it. does anybody copy? I can shut the portal down.}
Cap heard and said {Do it.}
Tony stopped them and said {Wait, we got a nuke coming in. It's going to blow in less than a minute and I know just where to put it.}
{Tony, you know that's a one way trip.}
{I'll be fine.}
