Attack on paras!

(POV Karma)

"Now let's go kick some ass!" Just as I finished talking the herd got startled and looked at us cautiously.

"Meowth use hone claws!" I ordered as I took out a sharpened stick from the inventory and took a basic sword stance.

*rrrooowwwwwuuuuu*

The meowth did a high pitched roar as he boosted his stats and a few paras laughed at the display.

*Kikikikikikikikiki*

Lynx's eyes dilated as it launched a flurry of rocks at the 6 paras and 1 parasect.

Immediately their leader the parasect dutifully shielded his underlings with his claw that shined pure white swinging it wildly at the swarm of rocks.

(Hmm that parasect has good instincts but will it succeed?) I asked myself as I watched Lynx swiftly sneak behind the swarm and launch another rock blast at the Pokemon catching them off guard.

*KKKKRRRRRRRIIIIIII*

"Lynx don't kill only knockouts allowed!" I calmly yelled out the order not wanting any unnecessary bloodshed.

*Rrrrooouuuu*

The meowth nodded as it rolled to the side avoiding a string shot from a paras before striking its head.

*kkakaa…kkaa…*

The paras weakly groaned and before Lynx could land the finisher the parasect yanked him away with a string shot and tried slamming its claw at him midair.

"Oh no you don't!" I threw the stick at the parasects string shot making it spin with my psychic abilities turning it into a spinning blade that easily cleaved through it.

I then went on the offensive taking out a bigger but blunt stick and threw it like the other one before making it float and attack the herd from a distance.

*PPPAAARRRAAA*

The parasect screamed in rage as it spread a cloud of pink and white mist from the mushroom on its back.

"LYNX DODGE IT AND USE QUICK ATTACK ON THE PARAS!" I worriedly shouted as I spun the two sticks in front and around the cloud containing it to an extent.

*Hiss*

The meowth nodded in response and quickly took all the paras out within a minute using quick attack to zoom around the battlefield while using rock blast.

"Good job!" I patted Lynx on the back before we stared at the parasect hidden within the cloud of fumes.

"Lynx prepare for any sudden movements…" I muttered as I made all the rocks on the battlefield courtesy of Lynx float in the air and launch at the mist.

And within a few seconds of this tactic, the parasect hurriedly crawled out of the mist and launched blobs of dirt at us.

(Mud shot!) I thought as I redirected the blobs back at their maker although a few made it out of my control we swiftly dodged those.

*PARRRRRRRRAAAAAA*

The mushroom crab enraged charged at us recklessly as more string shots were launched.

"Hold it, big guy! We're only getting started!" I grinned as blood flowed down my nose and I stood my ground with Lynx in front of me.

"Use Rock blast!" I ordered as I prepared a big move with my nose bleed worsening and red veins in my eyes.

*RRRRROOOOOUUUUU*

Just as Lynx launched another avalanche of rocks at the charging arthropod I called back all the rocks and created a twister of stone that attacked it like a Beyblade.

(Beyblade, Beyblade let it rip-) While I attacked the giant crab this iconic song played in my mind echoing as my ears lightly bled.

*PPPPPPAAAARRRAAAAAAAAA*

The parasect retaliated with a string shot on the twister binding it together.

"YOU FUCKED UP NOW MATE!" I grinned as the dumb crab made it easier for me to control the giant top.

I then lifted the no longer spinning and now solid top and slammed it on the parasect knocking it out almost immediately.

After I pulled that stunt and the adrenaline wore off all the pain and strain slammed onto my entire being.

"FUCK!" I quickly chugged a normal potion healing my body and removing the strain although I was still fatigued and strained to an extent.

*Heavy panting*

I groaned as I felt the potion take effect as I crouched down to Lynx with another potion to heal him.

"Here hold still it-*Grunt*-will sting…" I gently sprayed small sprits of the potion on his injuries.

*Hiss*

The cat hissed as its muscles tensed and it bore the pain with a pained expression.

"Now what to do with them…" I quickly read through the information on the parasect line trying to get any spoils available.

(Hmm…This could be useful to us paralytic secretions on the underbelly with nutritious and partially healing mushrooms….) I quickly bought a pair of gloves, and a few glass tubes along with a scalpel from my inventory.

I then carefully followed the instructions in the extraction process gently slicing the mushrooms off the backs of each paras and containing the paralytic secretion before using small amounts of potion fluids on them just enough to heal them but not enough for them to awaken and they'd still have fatigue.

(The mushrooms grow back and I healed them so we're even…) I thought as I stored the freshly collected resources away as I walked away from the field with Lynx.

"Think you can take on any more battles?" I asked Lynx as I surveyed the surroundings for any traces of other pokemon.

*Meow!*

The meowth immediately agreed with determination and excitement.

"…Very well then let's go kick more asses!" I then quickened my pace with Lynx as we went on to win more battles and indirectly map this place.

"Lynx use bite!" I ordered the partly wounded meowth who quickly pounced at his opponent a Spinarak.

Immediately his fangs sunk into the abdomen before he rag dolled the spider knocking it out.

"Well done!" I complimented and healed the meowth with a potion before placing him back into the ball to rest.

"*Sigh* Now time to find our way back…" I opened the map panel and made my way back nabbing any fruits, berries, and medical herbs along the way.

"Hmm…maybe we can explore this area tomorrow…" I looked to my left and saw the sun setting on the ocean creating a beautiful scene that I stared at for a few minutes.

(How far away are the other regions and how do I get off this island…) I solemnly thought with no other landmasses in sight as I walked back to the cave and I came up with a plan to escape this place.

The next day…

*Waves crashing* *Seagull/Wingull noises*

"Yep, this is the beach alright!" I looked at the tropical landscape brimming with signs of pokemon and a hand blocking the sun from my eyes.

"Come on out everyone!" I said excitedly as I brought the pokemon out of their pokeballs.

*BIBIBIBIBI*

*PPPPPPRRRRRREEEEEEEEE*

*Meow*

The three had mixed reactions to the beach mostly excitement and confusion aside from Lynx who looked at the sea sourly.

"Everyone today we're exploring this beach for anything and anyone useful so stick together and venture with caution." I said seriously before I took another peek at their stats.

(We'll be fine we're decent enough not to lose to any pokemon besides it's not like we'll encounter a boss…and if we do we can run away…) I looked at our stats with worry.
