Well, this class was a lot smaller than expected. I had used the same lecture hall for this class, but there were only six students that were in attendance. Now, in my first year, there had been six students, counting myself, in the first term of Ancient Texts. I knew that Sassy had dropped the class after the first term, so she was in my level two class. That meant that there were four left, right?

Well, not all of them had stuck with it either. In this class, which had six students, there were four third years and two second years. So, from the original six in my class last year, only two had made it through the entire year. And the four third years were people that had tried to take the class over the last two years but hadn't made it past level three. Likely because no one liked Professor Lane.
