After that was out of the way I walked towards mom and Soma. As I was walking Nano gave me the scan report of dad, 'He is fine, so no problem there.'
Seeing me mom said "Sho, come and help me with the preparation."
"Sure mom." I told her and picked up my pace.
"Ni-san, let's have a match today too." Soma said excitedly.
Hearing that I was about to reply, but he was karate chopped on his head by mom and looking at him she said "No cook off unless it's night time."
"Yes ma'am." Soma readily replied.
That's the rule mom has after mine and Soma's cook offs happened during the rush hours. Whenever the match between us happens, most of the time I win and sometimes I lose. It's because I don't have the same experience as dad when he fought with Soma. And sometimes, dad also participates in our match making it a three way battle, as for the judge it's always mom, and she doesn't want the special foods we make to be given to the customer's since she likes them so much. That's why the rule of "Cooking battle will only be at night time." The battle only starts after 8pm, since the diner will be closed at 7:30 pm.
While thinking all of this I had to start to do prep work for the opening of the diner, and at that time Nano gave me the scan report of both Soma and mom.
Luckily, mom doesn't have the heart problem that was shown in the manga. She's healthy now, so she won't die when Soma is twelve years old.
"Mom, the onions are ready." I told her.
"Then cut the garlic, bell pepper, carrots and potatoes in that order as the usual amount." Dad said instead of mom. Since he's the head chef of Yukihira diner.
"Alright."
Saying that I went on and did what he had ordered me to do.
Like that four hours passed with prep work and opening of the diner for the day. As it was time for me to go to elementary classes, I went to our room and changed into my uniform, Soma came right after me and changed. After that we went to school after saying goodbye to mom and dad.

As I got the research done by Nano to make sure that I'm in the Food Wars world only, and not a mix of different manga, I found out that the Karasuno High School, Nekomata High School, Fukurodani High School, Shiratorizawa High School from Haikyuu Manga series is present here. That's settled my search, now I'm sure that I may see other characters from the manga I have read, but I'm not going to interfere in their life, I will just live my second life to the fullest while doing something I like.
Understanding that I'm not just in the world of Food Wars but also Haikyuu, I thought about joining one of the schools to play volleyball. 'Food for thought.'
Well there was evidence that I'm in a mixed world, but I just chalked it up as a coincidence. But now I can't think like that at all. 'What should I do?'
Just as that thought passed through my mind, I heard someone calling my name. "Sho! Wait for me."
Turning around I just smiled seeing him and thought 'Who knew that I would be friends with him too.'
Reaching me he said "I thought you would leave without me this time."
"Now when has that ever happened, Kōtarō?" I asked him.
Walking with a thinking pose he said "Never?"
"Yep!" I affirmed it.
"Heh.. My bad." He said.
"Bōkutō-san is funny." Soma said.
"Really?" Bōkutō asked Soma.
"Yes!" Soma told him.
We have been friends since my grade one and we go to the same elementary school. He is already playing volleyball for the Ushinokoku Lions club.
He's just like the manga, he has a playful, friendly, bombastic, and child-like personality.
Well, day's passed like that and I didn't think about anything else and just studied like a normal teen would, played around with Soma and helped in the diner when dad was not around. I'm pretty sure that he's going around the world and cooking for his clients.
Even though we get calls from overseas and there's even photos of him with foreigners, Soma hasn't figured out that dad is a famous chef. He's still thinking that dad is just a chef in the Yukihira Diner. We didn't tell him the truth either, as it was fun to watch him as he spoke with some of dad's clients through the phone and fumbling around without knowing what's going on. I figured out about dad by seeing all those photos and the phone calls at the age eight, and I asked mom what that was all about and she told dad about, dad then told me everything and told me not to inform Soma. And mom is also with me in this regard, she just likes to see the clumsy soma.
Dad has gotten me the chance to attend the entrance exam for the middle school of Totsuki, and we have come to an agreement that we won't be telling where I'll be studying and he has given me the permission to stay in the dorms. Mom and Soma were sad hearing that I'll be staying at the dorms, but after telling them that I'll come back once a month they relented.
