27 Roommates

After parting with Miku, I left her a clear order to meet me beside the school cafeteria three hours later; she didn't respond, but I was sure she heard me.

I strolled down between scuffed walls embossed with golden trophies from any categories I can imagine.

From national chess awards, national spelling competitions, best artists in the province, and a few notable yearly technologists, politicians, activists, and agricultural acclaims to countless sports medals.

The school dominated almost every sector.

And to me, it wasn't anything surprising; just by looking at the neat and standardized way the school operates can give anybody a clear view of the academy's core and endeavors.

They gave each student two cards, one for identification, and the other served as an apartment key.

'Number 132.' I read from the card and headed straight to the outer branch.

I passed a magnificent grassy quad crisscrossed with sidewalks and freshly cut hay.

While in the center, resounded a fountain pumping water up and down, creating mesmerizing shapes and forms.

The breezy scent of rippled roses and blooming lotus flowers, paired with the bird's melodious chirping, enhanced my mood; it was like a gem inside of a futuristic space ship that my brain already noted as spot 'A' for tranquility and secrecy.

Walking longer than I expected, I saw a massive campus chapel with a medieval golden bell tower. On top of it, I saw somebody looking in my direction; I couldn't discern who it was because of the far distance.

'Weird, how could that person even climb to the top?' I wasn't sure if he was looking at me or something else.

Yet, once the person noticed my gaze, he or she disappeared on the spot.

'Interesting,' I pealed and walked away.

Finally, I reached branch E; a branch made wielding an intricate maze inspiration with a spray of European style buildings; the designer must be really into making everything filled with technology, as nearly everything worked using a simple gesture, just like the gate in front of me, only a wave of my card in front the door sensor was all it took for it to open soundlessly.

Peering inside building 6, I searched for my apartment.

[Appartement number 132]

After finding the number, I swiped my card into the lockbox, and the door automatically unlocked.

*Tick

Inside it, my two other roommates had already found their way in.

"He-.."

'What the heck is happening here?' I thought, after seeing the mess in front of me, luggage and clothes scattered everywhere, and two boys were wrestling each other.

Well, to be precise, it was completely one-sided, as the brown-skinned aggressor was suplexing the other dude, almost making his back bent like a bow.

Just by looking at it, I felt pain and herniated disks all over my cord.

Seeing that they weren't going to end anytime soon, I lightly coughed.

Taking notice of me, they turned their heads, awkwardly breaking the odd position, before the other laughed as he said, "Man, that was helpful; I feel like my back pain is already gone,"

"Não worries,"

The Brazilian youth was built like a truck, with strong muscles and almost no neck.

Then, the fat guy that just got his back fixed said to me, "Oh, hello friend, I assume you're our new roommate,"

"Hello," I replied, still feeling perplexed.

He added, "My name is Hotaru, I'm a junior chess champion, and this guy right here is hogan from brazil, he's a middleweight jujitsu black belt and also the pound for pound best fighter in the jujitsu national competition last year,"

'Oh well, that explained a lot,"

I politely smiled and introduced myself, "I'm Yami,"

With anticipation in their eyes, they both waited for other words to befall their ears, but nothing came out of my mouth.

'Ugh! Should I just say one of my fake professions? Well, probably, not a good idea; lying from the start won't get me anywhere,'

After making my decision, I went inside without sparing any extra words. Yet, instantly, I spotted some weird sights.

Pick-up lines books were scattered on the desk, the fat dude named "Hotaru" had an extremely veiny right arm, and hogan had a horrendous mug, far more scarier than a ghoul.

'The fuck is this place?'

Hotaru was overly friendly; he called for me, saying, "Yami, over there," pointing his finger into an empty room.

I replied with a, "Thanks," but I couldn't help but acquire, "Are you generally this disposed to people?"

He vigorously nodded as the fat on his chin wiggled; however, deep in his eyes, I spotted a sinister light.

Switching my gaze to the room, I heard him faintly chuckle.

I turned my head toward him, and I only saw a man whispering while trimming his fingertips with a nail polisher; as his brows rose and mouth sank, looking completely innocent.

And it happened each time I step closer into the room; he chuckles. And then I need to check on him.

'Something is wrong with that room,' I was sure of this assumption.

Before I accept the room, I put my suitcase down and uttered, "I like rooms that have a nicer view, can I get the opposite one?"

Fatty Taru chimed immediately, "No no no; we are your seniors; you need to respect your elders,"

He was acting like a middle-aged man, stretching the few grown hairs on his chin.

I found his acting pale; after all, I was the actual adult.

"I'm not moving from here either," I was still keeping my cold face.

But not like I expected, they weren't really trying to bully me, as Fatty Taru waved his hands and amusedly shouted, "Then, let the game of room begin!"

"Game of room? What's that?" I said.

Hogan mumbled, "It's three games where we do what we know best, and the one who scored the most points gets the room,"

From what I understand, there was naturally three rooms in the apartment, yet, the one closer to the bathroom was said to be hunted.

'Something I know-how to do? Well, if he's sister here, I'd probably impress him,' I thought, yet, I knew that for now, I don't have anything good to offer.

'What I should do, one is godamn trained beast, and the other looks like he has orgasms playing chess!'

Nevertheless, my grandma's quotes came to help me.

"Remember my child, a sack of potatoes can fix all the problem in the world,"

'Damn right,'

"I have a better suggestion; how about I cook breakfast on Mondays and Thursdays, and you let me take the room?" I had no problem sparing a few minutes to get to the other room, mainly because my pinky shook like a high budget vibrator with each step I took towards it.

'What the hell can be inside that room??'

I added, trying to convince them, "Hogan, my amigo, the Olympics is always a dream for any athlete; I'm sure with the nutritional skills I amassed throughout my life, I can assure you that I can take you to a whole new level, with only one meal in the morning,"

Hogan, interest peaked, and contrary to his looks, he was gentlemanly in his speech and actions.

"I sii,"

After that, I turned my gaze to the other roommate, "Fatty-T.., I mean big brother Hotaru, I had something for you,"

I pulled my new branded phone and said, "I got a heavenly file for you, look,"

He got closer and read the title of the file, "The seven godly fingering techniques to send women to heaven edition 3,"

"Your stroke game is weak? Are you afraid your girlfriend will break up with you? Read this ebook, and you will become the god of pleasure!,"

The book was utter bullshit; it was like those "A horny milf is waiting for you 20 miles from here " type ads.

Eyes shining, he marveled, while the phone gleamed with golden lights, nothing too dramatic; I just added luminosity with each passing second.

"Hm, edition three, I see you're a man of culture as well—"

"But!!"

Like a magician, he pulled something from his behind, god lord where it was kept.

I had a quick peek and was stymied on the spot; the man was holding edition twelve of the same book in his hand! I was damn late nine editions!

But thank god, Hogan had a Supreme dedication to win the junior Olympics this year, so he accepted my shameless offer and told fatty tay, "I will give him my room, so we need to compete, on jujitsu and chess, right?"

Before Fatty tay can speak, I already exited the apartment, leaving them to fight it off themselves, but I can hear his moans from the window. Hogan had a malicious plan to cripple his fingers, yet, later on, fatty still played the chess game using his mouth.

'Poor dude,'

My thoughts drifted, and before I knew it, I had already been standing beside a girl.

She was, of course, Miku, and from her expression, I can tell she calmed down.

Her hand held a soda can, as she patiently waited for me in a corner.

Right after she spotted me, her eyes regained their usual light, and before she can say anything, I snatched the soda can from her hands.

"What do you think you're doing with my property, princess?"

Fumbling, her gaze clouded, not understanding what I meant.

I followed, smirking even more, "What if this container bruised your lips? Wasn't that considered to be damaged goods?" My hands lightly slammed in the wall, coldly staring down at my little prey.

"I. I won't drink soda anymore, is that what you want?" Her determination exhibited with a fierce glance.

Miku snagged my frown, and her muscle tensed, mumbling in a soft exclamation, "I beg you don't try to kiss me here,"

I beamed and pretended like I didn't care, reaching my head closer and closer to her as she responded by closing her eyes.

Then, I pocked her forehead, whispering, "I won't." halting back to the side.

"We going to grab some food hurry and move,"

From the back, I heard her speak, "thank you," she had a mesmerizing smile after I let her go.

I stopped at once, "About what?"

"About not kissing me,"

I broke into laughs, "No, thank you,"

"Hm?" face blank, Miku never heard me express even a shred of gratitude.

"Tsk, I don't try to kiss a million girl everyday, but never even heard a word from them,"
