No Buts

Han Jie heard her sister released a heavy sigh from the other line. 

She frowned, "Why? What's with that deep breath as if I am doing something bad? Did you not even miss me?" Han Jie asked, full of blame. 

Then she suddenly had a crazy thought, "MeiMei! Tell me the truth! Is Kyou hurting you? Don't lie to me!" Han Jie could not help but yell even though she was not alone. When she noticed Chi's surprise stare, Han Jie could only smile awkwardly. 

"Stop it. You are overthinking again," Han Mei reprimanded, before she continued patiently, "Do you think I am that fragile? Also, Kyou is not like that."

Han Jie coughed slightly, "One moment," She said after waving a hand at Chi then pointed at the door, silently telling the other that she would go out for a moment to take the call.

She then stood up from the chair and walked out of the café.

"Are you outside?" Han Mei asked curiously.
