With a swift stride, Milane embarked onto the plane.

"Good morning, Mr. Leedon," she greeted Lucas, who occupied the neighboring seat in the first-class cabin.

Lucas pivoted his gaze toward the source of the voice. He realized something about her appearance was distinctly different today, but his understanding of fashion was so limited and he couldn't pinpoint exactly what had changed.

"Morning," he replied, before promptly diverting his gaze back to the intricate diagrams and lofty jargon that filled the pages before him.

After all, no matter how undeniably hot or pretty Milane was, Lucas was determined to remain steadfast in his commitment as a loyal boyfriend, steering clear of any lingering eye contact with other females.

As the plane soared through the skies, the turbulent weather made its presence felt, casting a dance of unease through the cabin.
